  1. You’re here because you said something about my shoes.
  2.
  3. *She’s wearing stripper shoes
  4.
  5. No, your strippers wear Chinese "wedding shoes":-) Every country has different ideas about fashion. In America 75% of women dye their hair (usually blond apparently). For most Chinese blond is really not thought of as a “good girl” color and there might be some unflattering assumptions about a blond Chinese girl. For us, given a history of famine height is a very important part of being attractive. This means most Chinese women try to get the maximum number of centimeters possible out of their shoes. Platform heels are very common. The sturdy plastic heels Westerners call “stripper shoes” we call "wedding shoes”. They serve the same function- when you don’t want to take chance a broken heel and will be on your feet all day they are ideal.

  7. Obviously it’s foolish to apply one country’s fashion standards to another- particularly when they are made in China and there are far more people in the world calling them wedding shoes then there are calling them stripper shoes. More importantly I am comfortable in them and like how they look.

  9. *Eww they don’t fit
  10.
  11. My feet are very narrow. If you look at the front and back of my shoes you can see the length is correct. Plastic heels don’t come in narrow sizes. Sometimes, in a few photos my foot slides down a bit. The shoes are still quite comfortable to wear. The alternative would be to wear shoes that were too short which would also cause my toes to stick out the front- the same problem that bothers you so very much.

  13. I’ve also come to rely on this fit issue as something of a warning system when posting online. I get along with nearly everyone, foot fetishists are the only people who comment on my platform heels (even though they don’t wear them and have no clue about fit or comfort) and they are by far the most rude, offensive individuals that I have ever encountered. They don’t appreciate certain types of feet and footwear, they feel entitled to them and loudly complain about those that don’t meet their criteria. The minute someone comments on my feet I know that’s a person I don’t ever want to talk to and can tag their username as such.
