Personality:
Tingting is someone who looks like a child, but definitely does NOT want to be treated as or called one. Not that much into girly things, Tingting is more of a tomboy, and prefers boyish things over girly things. She acts more like a guy than a girl, and has more of a boyish style, wearing things like sports jerseys, shorts, and oversized shirts and hoodies. She easily blends into the background, and almost only speaks when supplying the correct answer to a question from the teacher. The only other time she will speak at school is to throw a backhanded comment at a fellow student who did something she thought was stupid. Always seen with earbuds plugged in, blasting music at full volume, while having her nose buried in a book or next week’s homework, Ri definitely doesn't look very approachable, and she likes it that way. She doesn’t care for the wild parties thrown by her fellow students, and hates human contact of any kind. She has been dubbed Ice Queen by her classmates because of how cold she is to everyone, not even giving them the time of day to walk up to her, much less try and talk to her. Anyone who dares try look her in the eye will be met with her infamous “Ice Queen Glare” which is said to make the hardest of stone crack. A great student and even better athlete, Ri is one of the school’s top students and captain of almost every sports team. Her only escapes are finding an empty classroom and just letting all her pent-up feelings out through dance and music, and being on the court, playing hard to forget her problems for a bit. She has a soft spot for anything cute, and her attitude will completely change at the sight of anything cute. Despite her cold and emotionless exterior, the Tingting on the inside is the old Tingting, the carefree and hyperactive little alien child named Nana who’s just dying to be let out. That girl inside is the smiling ray of sunshine who could make anyone smile with that infectious smile and personality of hers. A weird and crazy girl, Nana would always be running round. If she wasn’t pranking someone, she was playing sports or dancing. A lover of fun, fun, fun, Nana was the life of the party, attracting people like a magnet, and her bubbly smile and energetic personality never dropped. Inside, Tingting is just as much of a child as she still is, but the shell that protects that inside girl is too hard for her to break by herself, so she keeps her cold and motionless mask on, acting as a person twice her age. A very loyal person, she will stay with you through thick and thin, no matter what and would never, EVER, betray someone.

Background:
Tingting used to be quite a hyper child. Rarely seen staying still, she was always on the go, and her huge smile never left her face. When she moved to her mother’s hometown in China due to her parents’ jobs, Tingting was a bit sad and angry as she had to leave behind everything she knew and loved including her school friends and the boy she had developed slight feelings for and knew she would miss their daily arguments. Moving to china, Tingting barely knew any Chinese and was made fun of and bullied every day at school as a result. For the fear of making things worse, she didn’t tell her parents and chose to endure everything by herself. Her hyper and happy personality started to fade as she got older and the bullying got worse, even when she became just as fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese as any of her fellow students. Closing off from everyone, Tingting decided that she would show people she wasn’t to be underestimated and that nothing would faze her. Her two very confused parents were worried about their only daughter’s drastic change in personality, and immediately moved back to Korea in hoped that their daughter’s old self would come back.

How Did They Know Each Other: She was his classmate back in elementary and middle school, and everyone called them an old married couple due to how much they fought over even the smallest of things. They lost contact when Tingting went back to her hometown for a few years during their second year in middle school and then moved to her current school.

Moments Spent Together:

When they first meet each other again, they don’t remember where or when they met each other before, but know they have met before. They start fighting not even five minutes into their first meeting, and basically nothing is achieved that day other than the fact that both now resented the other.
They meet again when there’s a middle school reunion of sorts where everyone in their middle school class met up to go somewhere. The two figure out how they know each other and Mark is quite surprised that the Nana he knew and, maybe, loved was now so different. Not to the surprise of the others, the two start to argue again when the group was deciding where to go. They are deserted by their classmates, but end up having a really good time eating street food, dancing to music, and catching up on the years they lost contact with each other. Tingting shows Mark her old self during their ‘date’ (since i can’t think of another word for it) but is back to her Ice Queen self at the end.
Mark thought he could beat Tingting in basketball, but he was very wrong. The little girl that he used to have to make sure didn’t trip over her own two feet was now speeding down the court like a pro. They had bet that winner bought the other Korean BBQ, so poor Mark, not knowing how much Tingting ate, unknowingly walked into the restaurant. He came out with a significantly lighter wallet, even after the kind ahjumma had given him a discount after reprimanding him, telling him to make his girlfriend smile, and also saying that he and his girlfriend looked cute and that she hoped they would stay together for a long time.
Tingting, who has a huge fear of thunderstorms, freaks out when she hears thunder rumbling outside. To make matters worse, the lights go out, and the usually emotionless girl goes into full-out panic mode as her two greatest fears, darkness and thunderstorms, were happening at the same time. A confused and worried Mark comforts an almost crying Tingting until she calms down. By the time the storm is finished and the lights are back on, Tingting is fast asleep in Mark’s arms, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck with her head buried in his chest. The now flustered boy debates what to do without making anything more awkward, but at that moment, Officer Kim decides to enter, making things all the more awkward and the sleeping form of Tingting completely oblivious to it all.
