- Heockius: (I'm saying we just sort of disregard the tree house. This looks like a place Centaurs would camp.)
- vathella: ((ok))
- vathella: ((so where are we?))
- vathella: ((and who is asking for the meeting?))
- Heockius: -Within the woods. Just at the temperate edge of the northern lands. Centaur camped. 1200 of them settled where they could resupply and plan how to get through the norther storms. General Amaria of house Lonicera was by the edge of the river. She adjusted her armor and stared ahead- So... The queen of Ido wants to talk.. I wonder what she has to say... -She folded her legs and looked into the water to do some last minute preening-
- Heockius: (General Amaria would be the one to talk to. )
- vathella: ((are there 1200 centaurs in the world? or that many are soldiers?))
- Heockius: (That many soldiers in this camp. The others have scattered from Aerendir where they lived. With the trees being felled and the now seige. Most of the "Power" of the centaur people is in the General's hands)
- vathella: ((that's a lot of centaurs))
- vathella: ((especially because two big provinces sunk))
- Heockius: (Well. This is probably the bulk of the people as they aren't as dense as say, Humans or elves.)
- vathella: ((ok let's start))
- vathella: /me steps out of the trees
- vathella: greetings fair amaria
- Heockius: -Amaria looked up from her preening with a start and turned towards the source of the voice. Her eyes widened for a moment before she bowed from her "sitting" position.- Aye. Greetings, your highness. How fare ye this day?
- vathella: We are well my general
- vathella: we hope thou art also well this day
- vathella: we see thou and thine have traveled far of late
- Heockius: -Amaria took a moment to get her feet under her so she could stand. As she did so she raised a hand to salute- Aye, m'lady. We have. Foul tidings were brought to us, by a healer. Lady aster of house Hellatius brought word to all of the houses. I have not seen such a joining among my people before.
- vathella: nor have we
- vathella: the centaur people have ever been wild and free and never under the yoke of Man
- Heockius: Aye. -Amaria said with a hint of pride- Nor should we be! -She frowned slightly- But the tidings that witch brought us... Spoke of things most foul... She was adamant on stopping them...
- vathella: was she now?
- Heockius: -Amaria nodded- Aye. A wee Lass, by the name "Serena"
- vathella: serena... we shall remember this name
- vathella: to speak true there are many foul things afoot in telrunya these days Amaria
- Heockius: -Amaria nodded- Aye. From what Lady Aster told us. She was a servent of nature. And indeed. I recieved word... Beastmen.. and undead... Saced Aerendir...
- vathella: beastmen such as thyselves have not faired well in telrunya... have they?
- Heockius: -Amaria sneered slightly at being lumped in with the likes of Minotaur and Satyr- We are not those foul creations of Hart... Yet they think we are...
- vathella: Men have ever hunted thy kind for their sport
- Heockius: Aye, lass... Ahem.. My queen... They have..
- vathella: ah... so you would separate thyself from them?
- Heockius: Aye. We are proud and strong. We accept not the yolk of that evil sorceress.
- vathella: i fear mortal Men would not make such distinction
- vathella: thee are good words fair Amaria
- Heockius: -Amaria stomped a hoof- We are children of Mother nature. She has gifted us our strength and magic. We shall continue to serve her.
- vathella: yet still the Hart witch is exactly who Men have put on their throne
- Heockius: -Amaria glance down- Nay... I hear she usurped it... Stealing the body of someone... and killing all who would resist...
- vathella: /me dismisses the details with a flick of her fingers
- vathella: and the previous monarch? was he the friend of cantaurs? of nature?
- vathella: or the one before him?
- vathella: or the one before that?
- Heockius: -Amaria glances towards the trees. Her tail flicks slightly as she rests a hand on her hips- Goranak? I had little dealing with him. He left us to our devices in the forests of Aerendir... And before him... Hart was there... She ordered trees felled...
- vathella: when has there ever been a time when Man was friend to centaur?
- Heockius: Amaria glanced away- The only human to extend a hand of friendship.. Was Serena...
- vathella: i must correct thee my general it was that brute King Goranak and his Duchess Kikia that would fell the forests of Aerandir
- Heockius: -Amaria glanced to the queen- He continued the Hart's work.. Now she's returned...
- vathella: in Aerandir stood the fairest and most proud of all the ancient trees of this land... and they destroyed them by the thousands
- vathella: dear Amaria... you remind me of hroclaw of dorma
- vathella: he also fails to see... i think Men call it... the Big Picture
- Heockius: -Amaria glanced to the queen slightly- Then, pray, my queen. Enlighten me. -She would bow slightly-
- vathella: we thank thee good Amaria *smiling gently*
- vathella: once many thousands of years ago all this land was under our dominion
- vathella: elves reigned over the forests of telrunya and centaurs were free to go where they might unfettered...
- vathella: ...then came mortal Men doomed to die
- vathella: ...and determined to have all others share their mortality
- vathella: we have lost much is it not true?
- vathella: ((let me try that again: centaurs were free to go where they might, unfettered... ))
- Heockius: -Amaria glanced away- Aye, lass...-She flinched slightly- My Queen... My father told me of such stories.
- vathella: thy father was a wise centaur
- vathella: things are now in turmoil in the realms of Men
- vathella: telrunya goes from one civil war to another in a matter of months
- vathella: and thou?
- vathella: my general we see thou leading thy people into this same turmoil... this same folly
- vathella: whereas if thou but return to thy fields thou might let the Hart witch and the Darkwood sorcerer destroy one another...
- Heockius: -Amaria nods then glances over to the queen.- Aerendir was so cramped... Our people need room to roam. Aye... If only because the call was from the one that called us friend...
- vathella: even as Goranak and others were destroyed
- vathella: this serena... as thou speaketh her name we sense she is no more
- Heockius: -Amaria turned to the queen- She's... dead? But... Nature still whispers her name...
- vathella: her spirit lives on no doubt
- vathella: and we would thank her for her service to Mother Nature
- Heockius: -Amaria holds out a hand with her palm up- One of the males from Lilieae came to me with a vision...
- vathella: yet still she was of the race of Man and saw things as Men do
- vathella: /me stops and listens
- vathella: tell me of this vision
- Heockius: Of house Lilieae they are more in tune with the land than the rest of us... He saw nature hold her breath for a moment... A tree in the frozen wastes opened... A female in white was.. born from it... Her eyes shine like the sky... She speaks the language of nature... But she is broken... He said he heard her name... Serena...
- vathella: /me stands without motion, without expression
- vathella: /me then speaks after a moment
- vathella: this serena comes well augured twould seem
- Heockius: -Amaria nods- I have not heard the like...
- vathella: augurs sang of us ere we came into this world...
- vathella: they proclaimed an elven maiden must sit upon the throne and regain all the was lost to our people
- vathella: thus after our noble father fell in the wars of the last age the throne was give to us a mere child of but fifty years
- vathella: never before has so young a sovereign sat up on the throne of Ido
- vathella: almost five hundred years have passed since we took the crown of Ido...
- vathella: we have regained nothing of our lost lands... yet
- Heockius: -Amaria nods again. Her eyes glance towards the sky- While men have destroyed each other... Or abused the gifts of nature and the gods.
- vathella: /me nods subtly
- vathella: indeed
- vathella: Amaria thou are not obliged to fight against Men for the sake of another Man
- Heockius: -Amaria nods and reached back to pat the bare spot- Aye. No man will place saddle nor yolk upon me.
- vathella: yet Ido would be proud to have thy banner flying beside our own
- vathella: ((yoke not yolk--that's from an egg))
- Heockius: (My bad. Sorry. >.<)
- vathella: ((no problem :) ))
- Heockius: -Amaria bows- We would be proud to serve. I do fear though... Will there be land yet to reclaim when these humans are done? When the Hart woman or the Darkwoods are done... I fear this land will be as the creeping wastes were...
- vathella: Amaria we would not have thee ignore such threats
- vathella: we would have thy legions fight with ours
- vathella: Hart and Darkwood will destroy one another... with our help
- Heockius: And of the vision... Should this woman be sought?
- vathella: ...seek her if thou wish
- vathella: bring her to us
- vathella: we shall determine if this prophecy is true or naught
- vathella: mayhaps she will prove a fine ally
- Heockius: If she is the Same Serena that called us friend... I feel the lass will be just that.
- vathella: yes if
- Heockius: -Amaria glances away for a moment- Should man survive... And should this Serena be the centaur friend I feel... May I make a reccomendation? Make her lead what is left of men. If she communes with nature as the vision suggests... She would listen to you... She would listen to your people.
- vathella: Amaria we see the wisdom of thy words
- vathella: we shall speak with her if found and if her goals are as ours then she will be given charge of those Men that would follow our path
- vathella: in Ido we wage no war against Men
- vathella: in Ido we call them friends
- vathella: in Ido they know it i their place to serve
- vathella: ^ is
- Heockius: -Amaria nod- Aster told me.. The Serena she knew called elves friends... She spoke highly of those she knew.
- vathella: then we would happily embrace her
- vathella: fair Amaria send out thy seers... have them find this serena if living or dead
- vathella: bring her to me if possible
- Heockius: -Amaria nods- Of house Lilieae I shall send centaur. They travel with the land. The can run farther and faster... The visions say the wastes in the north... It would seem Nature has born this child as far from the hands of men as possible...
- vathella: Nature can e most wise
- Heockius: -Amaria nods- Aye, my queen. That she is!
- vathella: Amaria will thou lead thy people out from the yoke of Darkwood?
- Heockius: -Amaria put her fist to her heart- We fight for you. We fight for the land.
- vathella: we would have thee harry Hart as thou intended...
- vathella: ...and fight Darkwood as well
- Heockius: -Amaria nods- Aye. The reports from our advance platoon have said the Darkwoods are brutish at best.
- vathella: indeed
- Heockius: Augustus of Helianthus says it is nothing for the Darkwood "Theron" to ready his sword against even Hroclaw.
- vathella: yet hrowclaw seems not to see this
- vathella: how many times must that sword fall on his head ere he wakes up?
- Heockius: I have yet to meet the lad... Ahem.. The Duke... But I fear he is to proud to realize.
- vathella: we have spoken with him... we were not impressed
- Heockius: -Amaria nods briefly as she understands- Forgive my pride. But how fare I?
- vathella: Amaria at this moment the forces of Ido amass at the border of telrunya
- vathella: House Elucard of Men gave promise of two provinces ajoining our lands
- vathella: they have not delivered these lands to us despite our upholding our bargain
- vathella: we intend to take what was promised us
- Heockius: -Amaria snorts and nods- Aye. Man can be greedy... Spreading like a plauge...
- vathella: and we would be honored to have thee and thine by our side
- vathella: /me nods subtly
- Heockius: -Amaria bows- I will send word. The centaur that scattered from Aerendir may have fled to thy lands already. Aye. They would join ye.
- vathella: this is a memorable day good Amaria
- vathella: we await thy arrival and our meeting with the Serena
- vathella: now we must away
- Heockius: -Amaria nods then raises a hand- How shall we find ye, when we have Serena?
- vathella: thou may ride to Ido or give word to any of our people and they shall pass it to us...
- vathella: ...except Hroclaw
- vathella: he would in all likelihood become confused
- vathella: i fear his aging disease addles his mind
- vathella: ^ we
- Heockius: -Amaria bows deeply. She even goes so far as to fold her legs in an almost kneeling posture- Then it shall be done, my queen. We will arrange our forces and plan strategy.
- vathella: /me steps over, leans in, and places a shining kiss upon your brow
- vathella: /me then withdraws
- vathella: /me vanishes into the forest without another word
