- strangely, none of the books can be retrieved from the bookshelf. They all share an identical design and are seemingly locked into their places. Every books' spine has what looks like a small, black bar on the top

- the door opens without any issue, and you're lead into a fairly dimly lit hallway that extends for about 10 feet
- at the other end is an identical door to the one you just opened

- opening the door, you can hear sounds of shuffling and grunting as you walk into a large, open room, 45 feet wide and 60 feet long. Tables and chairs are neatly organized in rows on the west and east sides of the room, leaving a roughly 20-25 foot open space in the middle.
- there are massive bookshelves on both the west and east sides of the room, seemingly connected to two gargantuan pillars at the middle
- to be clear, there are two massive pillars on the midpoints of the west and east sides of the room, and there are four massive bookshelves that span from the pillars to each end of the room

- roughly 25-30 feet to the north is an imp smacking its claws against one of the tables, seemingly to no avail
- at this distance you can see that its head is some kind of large rectangle

- Firstly, you realize that the tables come up to chest-height, and secondly, you see that the imp was trying to grab a small card
- it's brightly colored in yellow and blue

- on one side it's a plain, plastic-like card with a simple yellow-and-blue pattern, but on the other side is what appears to be some kind of barcode with a small set of numerals sitting above it

- Interesting. I captchalogue it for later examination.
- Then I check out these new bookshelves.

- they're truly gargantuan, acting almost as walls which surround you and the space you're in. The books are identical to the ones you saw in the previous room, but above the small black bars you can make out small numerals

- the numerals are in sets of 12's, and the largest number is impossible to find without spending hours investigating and comparing

- it's still impossible to remove the books from their predetermined positions, but some of the black bars on some of the books are seemingly reacting to the presence of something by apparently lighting up, just faintly enough to barely notice

- some of the black bars react more strongly to the card's presence, and the faint lights increase in brightness

- I keep it there and wait to see what happens.
