- Positioning
- Goroth should be tanked near the center of the room, slightly off to one side.
- Melee DPS should stand between the boss and the middle of the room.
- Ranged DPS should be in a small group, generally in a close line towards the boss.
- This helps spikes from Infernal Spikes form in a line, making it easier to hit multiple spikes during Shattering Star.

- Avoid getting hit by Infernal Spikes.
- Avoid the path of Shattering Star when it's targeted at other players.
- Run behind spikes during Infernal Burning.
- DPS
- If targeted by Shattering Star, move so that the path of the star goes through multiple spikes.
- Do not destroy all of the spikes, as you'll need at least one up during Infernal Burning.
- If targeted by Crashing Comet, move away from spikes and other players.
- Healers
- After Shattering Star, prepare to heal the group quickly, as it does very high raid-wide damage.
- Tanks
- Do not move the boss if possible, taking special care not to move him near any spikes.
- Goroth will destroy spikes if he's near them.
- When you receive the Burning Armor debuff, run away from the raid and all spikes. Use movement abilities if possible.
- When the main tank receives Burning Armor, the off tank should taunt the boss.

- Avoid Unbearable Torment by using Confess, your extra action button, to reduce your Torment.
- Confess teleports you inside Belac’s fel prison, where you'll gain Remnants of Hope that reduce your Torment.
- DPS
- Avoid attacking Atrigan during Bone Saw. During this time, switch to Belac.
- Avoid attacking Belac during Fel Squall. During this time, switch to Atrigan.
- Spread out once Echoing Anguish is applied.
- Establish an interrupt rotation to prevent Belac from casting Pangs of Guilt.
- Healers
- Delay the dispelling of Echoing Anguish to allow players time to spread.
- Dispelling will cause Anguished Outburst to deal damage to players within 8 yards and give 10 Torment.
- Tanks
- During Bone Saw, kite Atrigan away from raid.
- Once the main tank has high Torment, the off tank will need to taunt Atrigan so the main tank can Confess.

- Face the boss towards the raid before he casts Unchecked Rage at 100 energy.
- The tank who doesn’t have aggro on the boss should pick up the Razorjaw Wavemenders and Razorjaw Gladiators and tank them facing away from the raid.

- Positioning
- The boss should be tanked around the center of the room.
- Concealing Murk and Thundering Shock will limit the movement area.
- Slicing Tornado can appear from any direction. When it does, position yourself behind a pool of Concealing Murk.
- In phase 2 and 3, be aware of Vellius casting Crashing Wave. The only safe zones will be on the edges of the room.
- In phase 2 and 3, keep your distance from Sarukel, as getting inhaled by Devouring Maw will do significant damage.

- Avoid standing in Concealing Murk and Thundering Shock.
- Players marked with Hydra Shot should run away from the boss, and two players should stand between the boss and the target to share the damage.
- Do not soak Hydra Shot if you already have the Hydra Acid debuff.
- Slicing Tornado is deadly, but if it touches Concealing Murk it will provide a safe zone.
- If affected by Consuming Hunger, stand in a Thundering Shock to knock the Razorjaw Waverunner off your back.
- Ossunet will drop Befouling Ink throughout the room, but these can be picked up and moved.
- Make sure designated players move these to Sarukel.
- When Sarukel casts Devouring Maw, you need to stand at least 15 yards away while actively running away from him.
- Devouring Maw will be interrupted when he inhales 3 Befouling Ink clouds, so it's important that they are moved as close to him as possible.
- Vellius will cast Crashing Wave which can be avoided by running to the edges of the room that are clear. The affected region is indicated by a blue visual which cuts the room in half.
- DPS
- Prioritize killing Abyss Stalkers and Razorjaw Waverunners before attacking the boss.
- If there is Slicing Tornado incoming, Abyss Stalkers need to be killed in order to break the wall.
- Healers
- Players fixated by Water Blast will be taking a significant amount of damage.
- Thundering Shock can be dispelled from anyone who is hit by it.
- If the tank affected by Burden of Pain gets hit by the boss, the raid will take a significant amount of damage.
- Devouring Maw does constant frost damage until it is interrupted. Assigning healing cooldowns to this might be a good idea.
- Players repositioning the Befouling Ink clouds will be taking high ticking damage.
- Tanks
- The tank affected by Burden of Pain should not have aggro on anything.
- Make sure to pick up and position the Abyss Stalkers in a place where they break the Slicing Tornado.

- Use a personal defensive cooldown if targeted by Rapid Shot.
- Avoid standing in an area targeted by Lunar Beacon or you will be silenced and take a large amount of Arcane damage.
- Avoid getting hit by Glaive Storm in phase three.
- DPS
- Kill the Moontalon before its Deathly Screech stacks get too high.
- When Embrace of the Eclipse is applied to the boss, it needs to be damaged down before its duration expires.
- Healers
- A healing cooldown is needed when Priestess Lunaspyre applies the Embrace of the Eclipse debuff to the raid.
- When Moontalon is active, it casts Screech which will do ramping damage until it dies.
- In phase three, the Lunar Fire dot will do a lot of damage to the tanks.
- Tanks
- In phase one, when targeted by Moon Glaive, make sure you are in range of at least two other players.
- After being hit by Moon Glaive, trigger Astral Purge by moving to the opposite shade of the room to clear Discorporate.
- In phase two, the tank needs to bring the Moontalon close to the boss so it can be killed.
- In phase three keep your Lunar Suffusion debuff low when tanking the boss, because of the Lunar Fire debuff.

- Corporeal Realm
- If targeted by Tormented Cries, run to the edge of the room and move away after being hit
- Avoid standing in Collapsing Fissure
- Avoid being hit by Rupturing Slam
- Avoid standing next to players afflicted with Grasping Darkness
- Spirit Realm
- When Soul Queen Dejahna is casting Wailing Souls, all players except for the tank and a healer should switch to the corporeal realm
- Players affected by Shattering Scream should move to the position where the adds are being tanked in the corporeal realm to remove their Bonecage Armor
- Avoid standing in Soul Rot
- Avoid standing next to Soul Residue when it dies to avoid the 5 yard AOE damage
- DPS
- In the spirit realm prioritize killing the Soul Residues, and the Fallen Priestess before focusing on Soul Queen Dejahna
- In the corporeal realm prioritize killing the three adds before focusing on the Desolate Host
- Healers
- During Wailing Souls, any players stuck in the spirit realm will take a large amount of damage
- After the boss is at 30%, both Sundering Doom and Doomed Sundering will deal a large amount of AOE damage
- Tanks
- The two tanks should be split between the spirit and the corporeal realm
- Tank the adds in the corporeal realm close to the boss, so they can be cleaved

- Shortly after the beginning of the fight, the entire raid will be afflicted with either Fel Infusion or Light Infusion

- To split the damage taken when the boss casts Hammer, make sure to stand within 20 yards of the boss if it matches your color

- In Phase 2, the boss will apply a large shield to herself which needs to be damaged off so the boss can be interrupted
- In Phase 2, picking up Fragments of the same color will provide a damage buff
- Healers
- The raid will be taking a large amount of damage after Mass Instability is cast
- If an Unstable Soul explosion happens in the raid, a healing cooldown will be necessary
- In Phase 2, picking up Fragments of the same color will provide a healing buff
- Tanks
- The tank with Light Infusion needs to tank the boss during Hammer of Creation
- The tank with Fel Infusion needs to tank the boss during Hammer of Obliteration

- Phase 1
- The boss will transition to Phase 2 when he reaches 100 energy, at this point he will heal in proportion to how much health the Maiden of Valor has
- Keeping the boss in Phase 1 until the Maiden of Valor is dead, which will happen after four rounds of Cleansing Protocols, is crucial to having a successful Phase 2
- The Containment Pylon can only be soaked by the Maiden of Valor, so the tank needs to always move her to where the green beam is
- If targeted by Unbound Chaos, run until the debuff runs out and avoid standing in the green puddles it leaves behind

- Positioning
- This is a three phase fight with two intermission phases. Each phase requires slightly different positioning, which will be broken down below phase by phase
- Phase 1:
- Tank the boss at the edge where he spawns
- During Rupturing Singularity the entire raid needs to move close to the impact point, and position to get knocked back towards the corners of the room
- Intermission: Eternal Flame
- The raid should move close together to mitigate the effect of Focused Dreadflame
- Phase 2:
- The same positioning applies as phase 1, but the raid needs to be ready to soak Focused Dreadflame when it targets a player
- Players afflicted with Shadow Reflection should stack on the boss
- Intermission: Deceiver's Veil
- All players should find, and move close to Illidan to get the Illidan’s Sightless Gaze buff, which will allow you to navigate and attack/heal. Pinging the map can help your allies.
- The phase ends when all the Shadowsouls are defeated
- Phase 3:
- Before the second cast of Darkness of a Thousand Souls finishes, the entire raid should stand near a Tear Rift
- Rupturing Singularity is absent in this phase, but people should still position to help players soak Focused Dreadflame
- Strategies by Role

- Stand close to the impact point of Rupturing Singularity
- At least one player needs to stand in each Armageddon Rain, otherwise the whole raid will take a large amount of damage
- Players affected by Shadow Reflection should run to the boss
- If affected by Bursting Dreadflame, move at least 15 yards away from friendly players
- Help soak Focused Dreadflame by standing between the boss and the targeted player
- When affected by Darkness of a Thousand Souls, stand near a Tear Rift during the boss's second cast of the spell
- Avoid standing in the eruption of Demonic Obelisks
- DPS
- Prioritize killing Erupting Reflections in the regular phases
- In the second Intermission phase, kill the Shadowsouls to cause the Intermission to end
- Healers
- Tanks will take more damage when affected by Felclaws
- A large amount of raid damage will happen after Armageddon is soaked
- Choking Shadow in the second Intermission phase applies an increasing heal absorb to all players, which needs to be healed off
- Tanks
- After the boss applies Felclaws to himself, the tank holding him should use a defensive, and after the buff runs out on the boss, the other tank should taunt
- Move close to Rupturing Singularity, otherwise you will be knocked off the platform
- Alternate soaking Armageddon Hail, which is a slightly larger circle then Armageddon Rain
