A demon appears in the home of Lucy Damon. She's standing behind the circle, astonished that she was even able to summon a demon at all.

He, clad in a dirty, plain-looking uniform, gazes upon the human, and manages a genial smile without any malice in the slightest. But Lucy Damon knows exactly what he wants, and what she is about to ask of him. She has just one concern on  her mind...

As if reading her exact thoughts, the demon greets her with a perfectly-paced flow of long, nimble fingers: "Hello, deaf human! I, Adam Amusley, serve all, in exchange for the very low price of a soul. It doesn't matter to me what must be done to fulfill your wish."

He bows down graciously to her, and looks to Lucy, expecting a reply in return. An affirmation that she really, truly wants to sell her soul to Adam.

Her hand clenches, fisting the fabric of her shirt. It relaxes and is sent back towards her side. This is it. She knows what she will ask. Lucy takes a deep breath, preparing herself for what is to come.

But before she can, the demon signs further. "Need an explanation? This is the contract, completed by a mere handshake. I need you to understand my terms so that your desire will surely be successful and deserved. No monkey's paw, no tricks, no hidden fees," he ends with the pointing of hand guns, winking at Lucy, before offering his hand. "What is your wish?"

Without further hesitation nor delay, the young woman stretches her open palm towards Adam - the sign for YOUR - and spells out SOUL. He immediately freezes, inhaling so deeply almost to the point of choking on air itself.

The furred demon coughs awkwardly, still not withholding his hand, and yet, he manages a feeble "Okay."

The entire house rumbles violently, trembling as the exchange of souls unleashes itself, both entities howling and swirling around the space, before it all finally settles, with a loud boom unheard by either body, now collapsed on the carpet.

The demon's soul, now inside the human's body, is the first to recover from its shock. Adam Amusley, with his now-flowing hair, his soft skin, and dull nails, wakes up. He blinks hard, running his hand through his hair, confirming that they truly did swap souls.

"What," he murmurs to himself, "what in heavens? I... I'm actually..."

A cackle comes from his former body, now sitting up from her former position on the blood-laden summoning circle. "Wow! Wow," she says as she rises up into the air slowly, clearly about to take advantage of her new vessel. "I have your powers now! I can do anything!"

Adam sticks his tongue out at her. "Puh-lease," his new, bothersome fingers trip over each other, scarcely being understood by Lucy, and yet his face signifies an entirely different, smug message. "You don't know how."

"Oh, don't I? You'll see!"

She strikes a pose, as if she's about to perform a grand trick. There's an awkward pause.

"........"

He raises an eyebrow at her, smirking. Her new demon body can't blush, but Adam knows exactly what it's like when a demon gets embarrassed. Her flustered expression says it all. Humans, he thinks, are so easy to read.

Perhaps I will have a fun time being a human, after all, he chuckles silently to himself.
