Movie Night at the Diaz House

>"Alright class, the last assignment I have for-Janna, sit down! I've still got 5 minutes with you numbskulls!" -Ms. Skullnick yelled as Janna quickly lowered herself back into her seat.
>She had been a little too eager to leave class and had starting hovering over her seat to try and be one of the first out.
>"Sorry Ms. Skullnick, won't happen again" -Janna said while she and everyone else eyed the clock at the front of the classroom.
>"Now, I was just going to give you a reading assignment, but thanks to Janna, I've changed my mind." -Ms. Skullnick said with a devious smile on her horridly trollish face.
>Everyone in class alternated between starring daggers at Janna and not looking Ms. Skullnick in the face, not wanting to make their punishment any worst.
>"I think all of you could use some extra group work time, so I'm going to assign you all into groups of two." -Ms. Skullnick eyed the clock quickly.
>"Your assignment, due by next Monday, is to watch a Spaghetti Western movie and write up a 5 page essay on the negative and positive attributes of the protagonist and antagonist in the film. One person covers the positives, the other the negatives. All of my normal essay writing rules still apply, as usual." -Ms. Skullnick said while starting to pair up the class randomly.
>"Hey Skullzie, can me and Marco get paired up? We were planning to watch old Westerns this weekend anyway! Earth culture is so cooolll...."-Star Butterfly said while miming shooting two revolvers at the ceiling".
>"As a matter of fact, no Ms. Butterfly, you don't get to be paired with Mr. Diaz. You two being in the same house would make this too convenient. I'm going to pair you up with...Ms. Thomas." -Ms. Skullnick said while moving on to the next pair.
>"I guess that works too..."-Star said while smiling at Marco, who stared on, mouth agape, almost wishing that he and Star could switch places.

>"Don't worry Marco, I'll see if I can find out more info about Jackie for you and report back!" -Star told Marco while giving him a smart salute.
>"Janna...I'll pair you up with...eh, Mr. Diaz. But I don't want him to be the only person working on this project! You have to put forth some effort as well." -Ms. Skullnick said to Janna, who slowly turned her head in Marco's direction while leering at him and giggling to herself.
>"Oh don't you worry about that Ms. Skullnick, Marco won't be the only one putting forth some...effort this weekend." -Janna said while trying to get Marco's attention.
>Ms. Skullnick just shrugged and kept picking out pairs.
>"Hey Marco...MARCO! Guess what?" -Janna said while throwing eraser heads at Marco's head to get his attention.
>"What is it-Oww, Janna? Stop pelting me and I'll listen!" -Marco said while rubbing the back of his head, turning his attention toward Janna.
>"Guess who's your project partner?" -Janna said while smiling and giving the thumbs up and pointing back at herself. "This gal!"
>"Oh, grand...Eh, then can I have my house keys back? I still kinda need them and it would be a nice gesture if you gave them back..."-Marco said while sighing at his misfortune.
>Seriously, Janna as his project partner? She was annoying and was constantly trying to either prank him or get back at him for some past slight he couldn't even remember.
>"Sure thing Diaz, once this project's over I'll give them back. It'll be easier getting in your place while I have them though." -Janna said while jingling his keys in front of his face
>"Fine, so long as I get them in the end. When did you want to meet up to watch the movie then?" -Marco asked taking a gander at the clock.
>"Oh, any time's fine with me Diaz, so long as we meet at your place. I don't have any extra Westerns lying around, but if memory serves you still have a few somewhere..." -Janna said, winking at him.

>Janna was half right; Marco's Dad did have some old Westerns movies in his collection at some point, but they'd been lost a few years ago thanks to a family movie night mishap.
>"Not anymore, but me and Star rented a few movies to watch this weekend, I think one's a Western. If not, I can go to the BluBox at the nearby 11-7 gas station and grab one for us to watch." -Marco said, thinking out loud.
>"Sounds like a date, so when's a good time for me to come over?" -Janna said, collecting her things and eyeing Marco to see if he'd caught her "drift".
>He hadn't
>"Well my parents are going out for a date night, so we were just going to order some pizza. If you don't have any dinner plans yet, we could order some extra and you could eat with us around say...6:30?" -Marco said, trying to a gracious host.
>At this point Star overhead their conversation and butted in somewhat
>"Awww, I was hoping it would just be the two of us Marco! Bestie nights are the bestest!" -Star said, miffed slightly at Janna trying to take Star's spot on the couch.
>"It's fine Star, we can watch the rest of the movies tomorrow night if you want; question is: Are you going to go to Jackie's place to watch a movie for your project tonight or tomorrow?"-Marco asked with a raised eyebrow.
>"Oh, I'll go tomorrow probably, let me ask Jackie real quick if that's fine with her." -Star guessed while walking over to Jackie, who waved at the little group.
>"6:30 sounds fine Diaz, I'll bring the drinks, you bring the food. We'll have ourselves a cozy fiesta at your place." -Janna said just as the final bell went off.
>Everyone in class finished making plans with their partners for the movie night, then started walking out to their lockers.
>Star caught up with Marco as he was almost finished getting ready to leave
>"It's all setup Marco!" -Star yelled as she ran toward their adjacent lockers.
>So what's the plan then Star?" -Marco asked, backpack on, waiting for Star to get ready to leave.

>"We agreed to meetup tomorrow night for the project movie at her place. Apparently her Dad is a huge fan of Spaghetti Westerns and has a bunch of old movies; who knew?" -Star said as she collected her things out of her locker.
>"Well that works out great then! We still get to have our movie night while Janna and I get started on our project. Oh, and Janna's bringing drinks, so we don't have to worry about that, unless she spikes them or something..."-Marco was slowly starting to think Janna bringing drinks might have been a bad idea.
>"Killin' two Gregtars with one arrow then, eh? I like the way you think Marco!" -Star said while giving Marco a slap on his back.
>Finally finished collecting her things, the two teens made their way to the school bus that would take them home.
>An oddly uneventful bus ride later, they stopped off at the bus stop near the Diaz House and made their way home.
>Time pasted as the two worked their way though some of the other homework they had, waiting for 6:30 to arrive.
>At around 5:45, Marco ordered three pizzas, one for each of them. He hoped Janna would like at least one of them, mentally kicking himself for not asking what her favorite topping was as he randomized the toppings so that each one had something different on it.
>The pizzas arrived at 6:15, while Janna showed up at 6:20 with a dozen or so bottles filled with a mix of various sodas and John's Solid Lemonade, for flavor ya know.
>Once it hit 6:30, the trio started the first movie of the night, slowly snacking on their pizzas and strange soda mixes that Janna had brought with her, after she took a few swigs of her own to show it wasn't poisoned.
>"So what's in the soda Janna? I taste what I think is Cherry, Strawberry, and...Lemonade? Odd mix, but not bad at all, thanks for bringing the beverages again." -Marco said while sipping out of one of the bottles that Janna handed him.

>"No problemo Marco, it's a blend that my Mom likes to drink some nights. Figured it would go well with some Western movies." -Janna said while downing her own bottle.
>"I think I taste blueberries in mine! Mystery Soddddaaaa!" -Star exclaimed, clearly enjoying her drink.
>After the teens finished the movie that Janna and Marco planned to use for their project (The Woman who Stabbed Slavery Baldance), they took a quick bathroom break then started discussing the film while finishing their pizzas.
>At this point though, the little bit of alcohol in their drinks was having some minor effect on them, making them sillier than normal.
>"That was awesome! I didn't expect to see that teacher lady to open a school in the middle of a ranch! Teaching those cows to read was hilarious!" -Marco said while laughing, remembering the scene.
>"Or when the bandits and the sheriff started fighting over that barrel, I nearly died laughing!" -Star tittered while trying to take a sip of her drink
>"I'm just happy that bandit got what was coming to him in the end. Being stabbed and shot into space? What a way to go." -Janna said, eyeing the other two teens, who'd drank a fair bit more than she had.
>"So what movie you guys wanna watch next? False Timidity? The Tame One? We could always watch a little TV for a break." -Janna suggested, finishing the last piece of her pizza.
>"I'm getting kinda tired for some reason, but I'm up for one more. Tame One sounds good, right Star?" -Marco said as he threw away their empty pizza boxes and opened up another bottle of Janna's brew.
>"Oh yeah, that one looked really interesting, but after that I'm done. I guess pepperoni makes me sleepy or something." -Star said while stifling a yawn.
>Janna just smiled and put in the next DVD, positioning herself between Star and Marco on the couch.
>Getting sleepy, the two didn't really notice the change in seating arrangements as they sat down and starting watching.

>Marco lasted a good twenty minutes before sleep took him, as he was leaning his head back on the couch to stretch his back a bit.
>Janna, having been watching the two of them more closely since the first movie ended, had grabbed some extra pillows and put one under Marco's head.
>Star lasted around twenty-five minutes before she too passed out, getting a pillow under her head as well for her trouble.
>Not really as interested in the rest of the movie as she was in Marco's sleeping form, Janna debated between cuddling up to him for the night, or molesting him in his sleep.
>"Decisions decisions..." -Janna said while taking a break to finish off the last of the drinks.
>Figuring that he would forget that she still had his house keys when he woke up, which would give her plenty of opportunities for midnight fondling sessions, Janna opted for cuddling.
>Slowly, but oh so carefully, Janna wrapped herself around Marco, hugging his side while she nestled her head on his shoulder.
>Asleep and oblivious, Marco did little but lightly snore as Janna did her best to get comfortable and, having done so, proceeded to fall asleep with a smile on her face, hugging the object of her affection.
>A few hours later, Rafael and Angie came home from their date night, noticing the TV still being on and the three kids asleep on the couch.
>"Awww, isn't that cute Rafael? They couldn't make it through their movie marathon...is that...Janna?" -Angie said while getting closer to see if her eyes deceived her.
>"Huh, it does look like her. I didn't know that she and Marco were still friends." -Rafael said, somewhat perplexed at seeing Janna sleeping next to his son.
>"Should we wake them up?" -Angie asked, not really sure what to do.
>"I'm sure it's fine, so long as they stay clothed, that is." -Rafael said, trying not to laugh.
>Angie quickly socked Rafael in the shoulder, trying not to laugh at his little joke, and started heading to their room.
>"Goodnight kids, pleasant dreams and all that jazz." -Rafael whispered, then followed his wife.
>After Marco's parents had turned the lights off in the living room and headed to bed, Star suddenly woke up, yawned, then looked over at the sleeping bundle that consisted of Janna and Marco.
>Feeling left out, somewhat jealous, and slightly cold, she then sat down on Marco's other side and proceeded to cuddle up as well, placing her head on his other shoulder.
>"Much better" -Star said as she yawned one last time, smiled, and fell asleep again.
