Lok's Adventures In Minecraft

This work is a work of fiction, and any similarities to real life events are coincidental, but all of the people are real!

    PART ONE - The Portal
------------------------------


    As Lokbatch was walking around the town of Oslo, he walked up to a shop that sold Minecraft merchandise. As he walked through the door, a nether portal toy caught his eye. It even came with toy flint and steel! Plus, it was 99% off! Who could pass up such a steal? Paying the 1 kr for it, he walked out the door with his nether portal.

    When he got home, he put down the portal, and started messing around with it. The box said that it could be lit. So, he did what any sane person would do, and put the flint and steel on the portal's base. Suddenly, the portal began to glow, and make strange noises! Then, a thin film that was purple in color started to fill the inside of the portal.

    Lokbatch, being curious, stuck his hand in the film. It didn't come through the other side. As well as that, wherever his hand was felt... warmer. Like, a LOT warmer. Lokbatch drew his hand back, and started to poke his head through. When he got closer, the portal seemed to grow. Thinking nothing of it, Lok stuck his head through, and became nauseated. Really nauseated. In fact, he almost threw up! But, he held his lunch back, and instead went the rest of the way through.

    The minute Lok went through, he knew where he was. Everything was red, on fire, and lava was everywhere. It also was blocky. Lokbatch ran back through the portal, be he wasn't home, he was in Minecraft! He ran back and forth between the Nether and the Overworld, but never went back to the real world. Lok cursed, then went to the Overworld when a Ghast peeked its ugly face over the ridge of the cliff the portal was on.

    When Lok looked around, he noticed he wasn't in vanilla Minecraft. He was in the Karma pack! As a seasoned Minecraft player, Lok knew to go to the nearest tree, and start beating it up. So, he did! When Lok was finished, he went to the next tree, then the next then the next, and so on, until he had a sufficient amount of wood. Then he bumped into somebody.

    "Ouch! What was that!?" exclaimed the stranger.
    "Oh, hi, I'm Lokbatch, who are you?" Lokbatch said.
    The stranger said, "Oh, I'm kd8lvt, but you can call me Kd."
    "Alright." said Lok, "I got here through a nether portal, from the real world."
    "Real world?" Asked Kd, "Like, IRL?"
    "Yes, but, I don't have a person there controlling me right now, I am me."
    "Oh, well, I can help you get back, if you want. But, first, its getting dark, so we should get inside."
    "Good idea, lets go!"
    As the two hiked over a hill, they were presented with a cave with a door on front.
    "Home sweet home!" said Kd, "Lets get inside before some monster rips off our face."
    "Good idea!" exclaimed Lok. As they walked through the door, a spider jumped at Lokbatch, but he ran inside, and the spider hit the doorframe with a THWAK! and died in a puff of smoke. "Weird." said Lok.
    "Yeah, they do that. Its how all mobs die here. POOF up in smoke. No fire or anything. Just smoke."
    "Well, lets get some food, I'm starving!"
    "Good thing I have some freshly cooked steaks in the furnace!"
    "Yum! Lets get some of that!"
    "Of course! Now.. which furnace was it..." Kd thought out loud, facing a wall full of furnaces.
    "Hmm." Lokbatch grunted, sniffing a little, "I don't smell any steaks, are you sure you put them on?"
    "Of course I did! Oh, here they are!" Kd exclaimed, pulling some perfectly cooked steaks from a furnace, "Here, have a few, you'll need them. Luckily, nothing rots here!"
    "Wonderful!"

    As the two guys ate, another figure walked up to the door, and knocked furiously. It was still night, so Lok and Kd thought it was a Zombie, and continued eating. Then, a female voice cried out, "Heeelllppp! Heeeelllppp! They are chasing me!" Lokbatch, never ready to say no to a challenge, immediately sprang up, and looked through the window - and a female face was looking right back. Lokbatch opened the door, conviced that this isn't a Zombie... at least not a normal one.

   START OF PART TWO - Home Sweet Home
-------------------------------------------

    The boys were still shell shocked about having another person in the world, TWO other people was even weirder - Kd definitely clicked singleplayer, and Lok, well, he didn't click anything. The girl, later identified as Tori, was certain she clicked singleplayer as well. They decided that they would figure it out, but now was the time for survival.

    Kd's house was well outfited with machines of every type, from three SAG Mills to a wall made entirely from Furnaces, he had everything! His whole base was powered by a Big Reactor, and he had a Digital Miner out back powered by a seperate, smaller Big Reactor to mine for him. When Lokbatch got a good look at everything, he was completely blown away by the crazy amount of technology the fifteen year-old had created in such a short amount of time!

    Lok started to explore the many caverns and rooms, and discovered many different mods in use, Kd even had a room dedicated to magics of many types! Kd's house was extremely disorganized, though, and Tori commented on that many times. Kd just replied with, "I suck at organization, its not really my thing."

    Once Lok was suitably accustomed with his new base of operations, he asked if Kd had a room for him. He got an answer back in the form of a pickaxe, and "Wherever you want, as long as its an empty wall. I only leave a three-wide space between rooms, for wires." Tori got the same reply.

    Lokbatch found an empty wall, with only one room on the far side of the wall. After digging out his room, and leaving a three wide space between the rooms, he started to make furniture for his room, including a bed, and a bookshelf, where he put some random books he brought with him from home, that he wasn't planning on reading anyways. He borrowed some iron and a bit of glowstone to make a desk lamp, and he made a lever to turn it on. Satisfied with the decorations, he went to go find Tori and Kd.

    "I just don't see why there are three people in a world where there should only be one! Theres a reason its called SINGLE-player!" Kd's voice exclaimed far away.
    "Well, it could be that LAN was somehow activated all on its own..." Tori echoed Lok's thoughts.
    "But, you opened a singleplayer world too, not a multiplayer. Plus, we are on different continents in real life!" Kd's voice echoed down the long hall to the main chamber. When Lok reached the main chamber, it was in worse dissaray than it was before Lok got there, items were all over the floor, and there was a pig sniffling about for scraps of food on the floor.
    "Where did the pig come from guys?" Lok asked.
    "I left the door open when I went out to check on the Digital Miner, and he snuck in. His name is Bob." Kd said.
    "I thought we settled on George?" Tori asked, incredulously.
    "What about Bob-George II?" Lok compromised.
    "Okay, that works." Both the younger players said in unison.
    "Kd, this technology is crazy, where did you get the resources to make it so fast?" Asked Lokbatch, "Its insane the amount of work went into this!"
    "Well, I always start with a Digital Miner and a 3x3x3 Big reactor, once I get my first few diamonds. Then, I work from there!"
    "Interesting. Maybe you could teach me sometime!"
    "I can do that." Kd said. "Hey, um, where is your Nether Portal? I could use some Glowstone."
    "I don't know. That forest is really thick." Lok said.
    "Nether portal? Where did you get a Nether Portal from Lok?!" Tori exclaimed.
    "I bought it from the real world."
    "Ahhh."

    Later, after a couple of nights, Kd was sitting in front of a computer, doing what looked like nothing.

    "What do you think hes doing?" Whispered Tori.
    "I don't know Tori, maybe you should go ask, if he will answer." Lok whispered back.
    "HEY! KD! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?!?" Tori screeched at the top of her lungs.
    "Hang on." Kd grunted, obviously focused.
    "Lets go get some resources, while its still day." Tori said.
    "Good idea, maybe we will find the portal in the woods as well."
    "Don't forget to go grab some glowstone if you find it." Kd said in passing.
    "Alright, Kd."

      PART 3 - Exploration

    "So, you don't have someone controlling your character right now?" Asked Tori, as they chopped some trees.
    "Nope, just me. The portal brought me here."
    "Huh. Weird! I think we have enough wood, lets go grab some food then get back to Kd. Maybe he will be done by now."
    "Good idea, my arms are getting tired!"

    As the two went over to Kd's farm, they discovered that there was somebody laying in the middle of the pigsty, flat on his back, passed out. Everything looked the same as it was in the tour, except the guy. "Where do you think HE came from?" Asked Tori.
    "I couldn't tell you Tori, maybe he fell from the sky." Lok said sarcastically.
    "Hey, in this world, you never know."
    "True."

    The two dragged the guy in the cave, and he was placed in the main room. When he came to, he jumped up, looked around, saw Kd, and passed back out. Three hours later, he came back, and said one thing - "Ugh. I'm hungry. Anybody got any food?" He was immediately presented a steak, which was swiftly swallowed, whole.

    "So, who are you, and why were you laying in my pigsty?" Kd asked.
    "I am Kchalmers, or Chalmers, and I have no clue."
    "Hm." Kd grunted, obviously not convinced.
    "Why do I keep thinking I know these names!?" Thought Lokbatch, annoyed.
    Tori walked out of the room, and came back with cereal, which she ate silently, apart from the crunch of the cereal.
    "Whats up with you?" Asked Chalmers in his scottish accent.
    "Oh, nothing. Just confused."
    "Okay then. Can I have my own room, or do I have to stay with one of you guys?"
    He was given a pickaxe and advice, as the rest of the group.

    "HEY GUYS, MAIN ROOM NOW!" Kd bellowed.
    "What do you want Kd? I was mining my room!" Complained Chalmers, who was presented with a jetpack, and a hydrogen tank.
    "Wheres my - oh." Lokbach was also given a jetpack and hydrogen tank, as was Tori.
    "You put the Jetpack in the tank, and the tank will fill the jetpack. The tanks go in the left slot this machine. If its not running, click the "Dump" button on the right to dump the Oxygen. Otherwise, it may be out of water, which shouldn't happen anyways." Kd explained, "If you fill your tank before you leave, you will get twice the flying time from your jetpack. Just make sure you set a waypoint at the house and any interesting places so you can get back to those places. You set a waypoint by pressing B. Or by opening your map and pressing the waypoint button, Lok."
    "I can't click the machine's button." Said Lokbatch, "I have no mouse."
    "Then press it."
    "Okay, why didn't I think of that."
    "As I was saying, I will make a Electrolytic Separator for each of us, so we don't have to wait for the others. They are pretty cheap anyways. For now, your tanks and jetpacks are full, so go explore. See if you can find Lok's portal." Kd finished explaining.
    "Well, what are we waiting for, lets go!" Exclaimed Chalmers. And off they went! Kd went over the forest, to the west, Tori went to the south, Lok went to the east, and Chalmers went north.

    Chalmers found a few mounds of rock with ores in them, as well as a tiaga, Tori found a desert full of evil camels named "Mike", as well as a bunch of quicksand, Lok found a village full of testificates, and farms, and Kd found... trees. Nothing but trees.

    They all went back to the cave, and reported their findings. Kd said that next time they should all go over the forest, but split up over top, for a higher chance of finding the portal. They did this after refilling their tanks and jetpacks, and found nothing but trees. Chalmers thought he saw the portal, but when he blinked it was gone. Kd had the same thing happen, but Tori had the most solid proof, because she saw a purple glow. And when she blinked it wasn't gone. But she was low on fuel, so she had to go back home. She did put a waypoint there, however.

      PART 4 - The End
-----------------------------
    Everyone followed Tori to the place where she saw the purple glow, and found... a mushroom. The mushroom had a purple glow about it, and everyone flew away, creeped out. Then, Kd spotted what looked like a portal, and zoomed down to get to it, and ran headfirst into it. When he stood up, it was the portal! He called everyone down, and they all cheered, because their goal was almost complete! They could soon go home! When they lit the portal, it was a green film, instead of purple. Lok stuck his hand through, and sure enough, it was cold on the other side, signaling home - Norway!

    He jumped through, and stuck his head back through, and said, "Thanks for all the help everyone, you are all awesome! Oh, and I remember where I know your names from! You are people who watch my stream! Thanks for everything!!" And poof, he was gone, back through the portal. He was home, and he could go back to that world whenever he wanted.
