History of Character: Huatli Khan was born on the outskirts of Tecochitlan to a non-magi couple within the Olmec tribe. It was a simple upbringing, his father had been a Jaguar Warrior before he'd been rendered unfit to fight after losing his sight. His mother was a simple seamstress, skilled at her craft which was well sought out by the other villagers. The boys early years where learning about the deities from his father, a very religious man in his own right. While he learned how to be involved with his community from his mother who acted as a village wise-woman.

Though life was hard with a disabled father, it was not all bad. Though his sight had been robbed of him, Huatli's father was still a skilled warrior. He taught Huatli how to fight, teaching him what he'd need to know in order to bring honor to the tribe. As the youth grew to manhood his skill had come to outshine even the best warriors in his village. From his mother he learned how to speak to his tribesmen, learning what words to say to gain their favor.

As an adult he took up the mantle of the Jaguar and began the ritual of bloodletting that his tribe practiced. Being a smaller tribe long ago subjugated by the Atl. Many of the tribes elders where sacrificed to the spirits and wraiths, the youth would offer blood as well. Cutting non-lethal gashes in ever more complex geometric patterns into their body. It'd be this early blade work on himself that wold spark the interest in learning to mend the damage done more efficiently.

At the age of twenty-two the warrior left home to for Tecochitlan, joining the cities warriors. Working laboriously to help rebuild the ruins of the previous chieftains betrayals. Eager to aid his people in anyway he could.
