  14. + MEIMEI (美美 / 메이메이)
  15. a cute nickname derived from the beginning of her
  16. name that her friends like to call her to tease
  17. her. the repetitiveness of it is always effective
  18. in getting her attention, especially when they use
  19. it over and over again. she's also sometimes just
  20. called 'mei'.
  21.
  22. + KYUNGIE (경이)
  23. another cute nickname, this time from the end of
  24. her korean name, even though she doesn't really
  25. like it that much (she's still used to her chinese
  26. and her korean name still feels weird to use), but
  27. her friends certainly like to use it.
  28.
  29. + XIANG (香 / 시앙)
  30. out of all her nicknames, she prefers this one the
  31. most. probably because it's quick and easier to say,
  32. and because it's what all her friends in china used
  33. to call her before she moved to seoul. she only lets
  34. her friends call her this.

  53.
  54. – BACKGROUND:
  55. + it's safe to say that from the minute meixiang was brought into the world as a tiny little baby, there were already a whole string of expectations placed on her tiny little shoulders. being the daughter of two war heroes meant that she had a lot to live up to, and that's stressful for anyone, let alone a child who knew this almost her entire childhood. meixiang grew up close with both of her parents. despite the expectations that were set on her from the people in their surrounding community, her parents both tried to shield her from it as much as possible. they wanted their daughter to have the best childhood that they could possible give her, and they figured carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders wasn't a good way to achieve that. overall, her childhood was okay, because being her parent's daughter did come with benefits. like the fact that the entire town seemed to dote on her and always stopped to talk to her in the middle of the street (even if meixiang was the type of child to try and hide behind her mother's leg whenever people stopped to talk to her. when meixiang was thirteen, her parents moved away from their home in guangzhou, china, to seoul, south korea, which had both pros and cons. on the bright side, she didn't have the nosy neighbours that knew every single bit of her family's business peering over her at every given chance. however, on the other hand, seoul was a complete foreign country, where meixiang knew absolutely no one, and barely understood the language. trying to learn korean was a bit difficult for meixiang at first, because she was never blessed with a good memory at all, and it required extra time and studying trying to learn all of her vocab words and phrases. it didn't help that as soon as people began to find out exactly who her parents were, the expectations returned. even if she wasn't the most proficient in korean at the time, she was smart enough to figure out that they were comparing her to her parent's achievements and she knew that she fell short in their expectations. when her parents heard about the opening of a new school for the sons and daughters of heroes and villains, they thought it would be a great chance for their daughter to go and make friends with people with similar backgrounds to herself, and decided to enrol her. now, meixiang finds herself in a foreign country at a school where she knows absoultely no one, but everyone knows her parents. she's not too sure how things will works out.
  56.
  57.
  58. – PERSONALITY:
  59.
  60. + (LOOKS) SCARY, DIFFICULT TO APPROACH | when people look at li meixiang, all they see is the daughter of mulan and li shang. and due to her parents, people tend to put her on a pedestal and unintentionally isolate her. meixiang looks intimidating. it's not her fault that she has a bit of a blank resting face that can put people off, but she also tends to put some of the blame on her parents. because of their reputations, people already have specific expectations from meixiang that she's not sure if she can meet. she comes across as a bit intimidating, not on purpose, but simply because of the way she looks and holds herself. she doesn't really like to show weakness, which is one of the reasons why she always has her guard up. but maybe if people didn't hold such high expectations of her, her walls wouldn't be built so high. those who know her well know that she's harmless, and wouldn't hurt a fly, but not many people get close enough to find out. she looks difficult to approach, and for this reason, most people don't. instead of going up to talk to meixiang, people prefer to stare at her as she walks past, which only makes her feel worse. meixiang is self conscious enough about herself, without the added stares, and she wishes that people would just stop. it's this reason that meixiang doesn't have very many friends, because her intimidating appearance and strong aura tend to put people off. teamed with the fact that she's a very awkward person, it's no surprise that her circle of friends is actually really small. instead, meixiang reminds herself that she doesn’t need a group of friends that talk about her behind her back.
  61.
  62. + CLUMSY, AWKWARD | people know meixiang for her intimidating and stand off-ish appearance, but meixiang has no troubles shattering that impression to pieces. she might be a princess, but meixiang probably spends more time sprawled across the floor than actually on her feet, much to her parents dismay. never has she been a prim and proper prince who can walk without fail in heels with a book on her head. meixiang has poor posture, and even worse balance. clumsy is the first word that comes to the mind of her friends when they want to describe her, and despite meixiang's protests, even she knows that it is true. where she gets her clumsiness from no one knows, because it certainly wasn't either of her parents. it's definitely a trait of hers that she loathes, because it most definitely isn't helping her prove herself to her parents (or anyone else, for that matter). she's always tripping over things, and often has splashes of blue and purple on her knees and elbows from falling or knocking into things. on top of all this, meixiang is a very awkward person. she's not very good at social interaction, because if she had things her own way, she'd be locked up in her room all day reading and trying to study (because unlike people graced with natural smarts, meixiang has to work her ass off for her grades). she has a habit of making things awkward by either saying to wrong thing, or not saying anything at all. because of this, she tends to find herself in awkward situations a lot (which can sometimes be disastrous, if THE LITTLE MERMAID isn't around to help her out of them).
  63.
  64. + HARD WORKING, AMBITIOUS | another thing that can be said about li meixiang is that she is extremely hardworking. she is not the type of person to give up, ever, and she prides herself on always following things through. she never has any unfinished projects, and she never half asses anything. she has the kind of mentality that if she’s going to do something, she may as well do it well. all she’s ever wanted to do in her life is make her parents proud. and they are proud of her, because they love her, and deep down meixiang knows this. but everyone seems to have high expectations of her, that meixiang doesn’t even know if she can meet. she just wants to be as accomplished as her parents are, and that’s probably why she tends to overwork herself. she thinks the least she can do is get good grades, and when she’s not graced with natural smarts and a brilliant memory, the only other option is to work as hard as she can to maintain her high grades. the last thing she wants to do is let anyone down, and she’ll always put other people first even if it means wearing herself thin. she’s not very good when it comes to handling guilt. she’s also extremely ambitious, and wants to achieve great things in her life. like become some sort of doctor when she’s finished school. and while she’s not the smartest person on the planet, she’s doing her best to make sure she’ll be able to pursue her desired career. and if she doesn’t (meixiang prays to every god she knows that this outcome doesn’t happen), well she’ll still have her options open, even if they’re not her most desired.
  65.
  66. + CALM, PEACEMAKER | li meixiang is the group’s peacemaker, there’s no doubt about that. she’s always calm, no matter what. at least, in public, anyway. she never seems to appear frazzled or uneasy, and instead makes sure to keep a calm front at all times. her blank expression isn’t all that bad, because even though she can appear intimidating at times, sometimes being in her presence is enough to calm other people down, and it’s what she relies on the most to comfort her friends. she’s not good at comforting people, and she never has been, instead prefers to lend a listening ear and a shoulder. she hates conflict of any sort, which is part of the reason why she never seems to demonstrate her strength to her full ability. she is fully capable of beating someone up (there’s only a handful of people who have actually seen her do it), but she’s not really the sort to act on any violent tendencies, mostly because she’s smart enough to know that she definitely does not want to face the repercussions for it. she’s also extremely well mannered, and it’s no surprise that she’s been raised by royalty. she always says please and thank you, and is the type of polite daughter that most parents wish for. she’s poised, and has very good posture, unlike some other people her age, probably because she used to walk around the house as a child with books balanced on her head after she saw someone else do it.
  67.
  68. + FORGETFUL, SELF CONSCIOUS | while she might be extremely hardworking, you can’t deny that meixiang is actually a very forgetful person. she would probably forget her head if it wasn’t attached to her shoulders. and since it is, it just means that she forgets everything else. like the project due that she left on her desk, or the coffee order her friends sent her to collect. and, most annoyingly, all the information she spent three hours studying for a test. meixiang cannot rely on natural smarts, or memory to get her anyway, because most information just goes in one ear and out the other (or in through her eyes and then gets lost in her brain before it can make it to her long term memory). she supposes it can go hand in hand with her clumsiness. meixiang is also a very self conscious person. it’s not surprising, given that people seem to be staring at her and whispering about her all the time, and meixiang knows it’s not because of her looks. she’s so self conscious of everything she does while she’s with anyone outside of her friend group. she’s so scared of being judged that she’s built up an impenetrable image of herself – which is probably the main reason for her cold and intimidating auror that she exudes without meaning to. in reality, meixiang is just a smol, embarrassed baby who doesn’t really like all the attention she gets, and honestly could do without it all.
  69.
  70. + STRONG, PROTECTIVE | it's no secret that meixiang is physically strong. even though she chooses not to demonstrate her strength, everyone knows that she has it, and if she wanted to, she'd have no troubles beating up all the bullies in the school. but meixiang likes to think of herself as emotionally strong too. because even though she strong enough to beat people up, she's also got the self restraint not to go and get involved in fights. she's smart enough to know that violence is never really the way to solve things, which is probably another reason why she's so respected. she's also one of the braver princesses out of the group, and the one that they always call to kill bugs and spiders in their dorms. that being said, meixiang is extremely protective over her friends and family. she's a bit like a mom, from the way she's always keeping an eye on her friends in the background, and always making sure they're okay, even if her actions aren't always obvious. she prefers to be a bit more subtle, like always making sure her friends get enough to eat, and offering her own food when they have none, and helping them with homework if they don't understand something. the fastest way to get on meixiang's bad side is to go after one of her friends. she doesn't take too lightly to those who are mean to her friends, and even if she won't actually attack you or anything, she will hold a grudge over you. and meixiang is very good at holding grudges. she's not one to forgive and forget so easily, and instead, can hold grudges over people for years (there's even a handful of people that meixiang will probably take grudges with her to the grave).

  107.
  108. ( GRRR )
  109.
  110. – LOVE INTEREST: HAN JISUNG
  111. (backup): LEE FELIX or KIM SEUNGMIN
  112.
  113. – HIS BACKGROUND:
  114. + growing up, jisung didn't exactly have the best life. not to say it was completely horrible or anything, but it certainly won't match up to the childhoods of many other people he knows. unlike most other descendants, jisung never really had a mother figure in his life, and was raised solely by his father, hades. it's probably the main reason why he seems to take after his father in terms of personality traits, because there's never really been any other parental figure to around to influence him in any other way. naturally, the way he was raised has turned him into the person he is today. his mother was never around, and it's something that he's come to resent her for, despite never knowing anything about her, nor the circumstances that led her to leave. call him selfish, but all he's really ever wanted was to have both parents around, just like everyone else he knows did. to be completely honest, jisung just wants friends, and he wants people he can call his family, because he feels like he's missed out on that growing up. that's why the other boys are so special to him, and why he's willing to do whatever it takes to get revenge on anyone who tries to cross them. not only that, but given that his father is hades, the god of the underworld, people tend to fear him. he's used to being isolated, because people are too scared of him based on the fact that he's the son of hades (to be fair, his temper doesn't really help, either), and so his trickster nature is the result of that. he never really had friends growing up, so he had to entertain himself someway.
  115.
  116. – HIS PERSONALITY:
  117. + if there is one thing you can say about han jisung, it is that he looks a lot less harmless that he is. most of the time, he looks calm and collected, friendly even. but never let his face fool you, because he is his father's son for a reason. he actually has a really bad temper, and it is very easy to press his buttons, which makes him rather scary. however, despite being hot headed, he's not the type to dwell on things, so at least if you manage to piss him off, he'll have mostly forgotten about it half an hour later, and will be back to normal. as long as you don't piss him off again. he finds enjoyment in teasing people, his friends especially. he likes to poke fun at just about everything, and often tends to take things too far without actually meaning too, or intending to, because he doesn't know where to draw the line. he's also known to continually antagonise people sometimes, usually only when he really really doesn't like them. he's very very petty, too, and it's amusing to see just how petty he can get (unless you're on the other side of it). han jisung takes petty to a whole new level, and it is extremely difficult to out-petty him. compared to some of the other villains' sons, he's more on the chatty side, and he likes to talk. a lot. most of the time, it's teasing other people, but he could probably have a full conversation with a brick wall if he wanted to. you can also describe him as overly honest. han jisung is an extremely blunt person, and can always be relied upon to tell it how it is. if you need an honest opinion, jisung is the one to ask, because he will tell you exactly what he thinks, without bothering to filter it. he's also very loyal, especially towards his friends. even though he picks fun at them a lot, he does have their backs, and he is very capable of getting people back for messing with his friends. he's allowed to tease them, but no one else is.
  118.
  119. – HOW YOU MEET:
  120. + THEIR FIRST meeting isn't even a meeting, really. it's more of meixiang spotting the group of villains out the front of the school on the first day and turning around and not making any sort of contact, whatsoever. which would be fine, except it becomes apparent that she's going out of her way to avoid them, and they're catching on. most of their interactions that follow that are snarky comments (on jisung's side), or total silence (from meixiang). THEIR SECOND actual meeting other than all the snarky comments is during the science lab when the teachers decided that it would be a wonderful idea to pair them up for the science experiment. they probably regret their decision now, because meixiang's ability to continuously ignore him only agitated him further, until he began to pull her hair and poke her arms and shoulders to get her attention. it probably wasn't a good idea, because then the wrong chemical went in by accident and the experiment almost exploded, which resulted in the entire class being evacuated. while all the students were happy ("yes, no class for the rest of the day!"), the teachers were not.
  121.
  122. – FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
  123. + HER | she didn't have much of an impression of him, other than the fat that he was the son of a villain, and that she didn't need rumours going around of her getting involved with someone like him. so instead, she figured it was best to cut off the chances of any ties forming, and just ignore him and make sure that their paths never crossed. to meixiang, it seemed like a good plan, but obviously, he didn't agree.
  124.
  125. + HIM | he was all for going over and talking to her and maybe making friends before she spun around and all but ran in the opposite direction. he was somewhat annoyed at her because he thought it was a bit rude (because even if he's the son of a villain, he does have manners. sometimes). he was also somewhat intrigued (not that he'll admit it) because he came to this school with the intention of making new friends, and he can't work out why she won't talk to him, no matter how hard he tries to get her to talk, which only irritates him further.
  126.
  127. – HOW THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER:
  128.
  129. + BEG | they try and avoid interactions at all cost. at least, meixiang does. she's already made up her mind that she doesn't want to get involved with any children of the villains, because she has enough for people to talk about her already, she doesn't need people gossiping about her becoming friends with villains or what not. naturally, meixiang isn't very subtle, though, so it's very obvious that she's going out of her way to avoid him. and jisung being jisung, well he doesn't take too lightly to that. sure, he doesn't like her that much either, but he's petty, and on the basis that she's going out of his way to avoid him, he feels like it's his job to go out of his way just to annoy her. honestly, it's no wonder that they start off to a rocky start, because meixiang has no idea what to do, and while she originally didn't really care much for him, now he's really beginning to get on her nerves, and she doesn't know how she's going to make it through the rest of her schooling years putting up with him. neither do her teachers, apparently, because they seem to think that it would be a great idea to force them to work out their differences after a particular bad encounter in the science lab, and they end up stuck on cleaning duty together for the next six weeks. disaster ensues.
  130.
  131. + MID | given that they end up stuck on cleaning duty together for the next six weeks, they have to spend a lot of time together, and since the teachers are insistent on them "fixing their little spat", they have no choice but to find some sort of agreement and stop antagonising each other. once they finally manage to put that aside, conversation comes a lot easier, and the nights spent cleaning turn into times where they don't need to pretend to be people they're not, and they can just talk freely. when meixiang finally opens up to jisung, and admits why she avoided him in the first place, he feels sympathy for her, because he doesn't really blame her for not wanting people to gossip about her, because to an extent, he understands how that feels, too, since people constantly judge him based on his father (the only difference is that he's given up trying to prove them wrong). once this is out in the open, they've formed some sort of bond that no one else on campus can truly understand, because they're still too confused how they went from being arch enemies to close friends. not to mention, all of his friends are really confused, because even they don't know the full extent of how he really feels about this, they're just smart enough to figure out that something in their relationship has shifted (and bets are already being placed between them on when jisung and meixiang will get together).
  132.
  133. + END | jisung's become very protective over her in such a short amount of time that it's actually really amusing. and meixiang has begun to learn that he's not actually as bad as she thought he was, and that he doesn't make bad company when he's not being hotheaded or petty. funnily enough, their relationship has taken a complete 180° turn from the beginning of the year, because it now seems to others like they're borderline dating – which of course creates a load of rumours that start flying around school (that immediately seem to disappear once jisung puts his murderous face on). it's cute how protective he is of her, from the way that he always grabs on to her elbow to steer her through crowds, and always makes sure that she's okay before worrying about anyone else. she also seems to have gotten a free pass from all of his teasing and poking fun that he seems to practice on everyone else. he's also one of the few people who meixiang will actually talk to without feeling the need to hold anything back (the only other people are THE LITTLE MERMAID and the SON OF HERCULES). they've actually come a really long way in their relationship already, and it eventually gets to the point where he just asks her out, because they've been bordering being something more than friends for a while, and figures that it won't really change anything.
  134.
  135.
  136. – COUPLE TRIVIA:
  137. + he is one of the few people that can get her to open up and talk freely
  138. + he's high key the type to stare down anyone who's saying mean things about her
  139. + they're both terrified of meeting the other's parents
  140. + they get teased by the others a lot
  141. + he always seems to know when she's feeling awkward and makes an effort to include her in conversations
  142. + is actually really really soft for her but no one would believe because they never see it
  143. + he likes to poke her cheeks all the time
  144. + he also really likes braiding her hair
  145.
  146. – WHAT DO OTHERS THINK OF THEM?
  147. + they're kind of surprised that the pair became friends, let alone something more. putting aside the fact that he's a villain and she's the daughter of two heroes, everyone on the entire campus knows how much they used to go out of their way to antagonise each other, so they're not really sure how the pair managed to overcome that. however, most people find it somewhat funny, but are also kind of suspicious, because it's hard for the to fathom how the two of them even got close, but if they look closely enough, maybe they'd notice just how much they've come to care about each other.
  148.
  149. – WHAT DO THEIR PARENTS THINK?
  150. + they're somewhat torn on their relationship. mostly because they know their daughter, and they trust meixiang to make good decisions, but they still want the best for her. they think that jisung is nice enough, when he wants to make a good impression. however, they don't want to turn a blind eye to him or to his father, because they know full well what the pair of them are capable of, and they don't want their daughter wrapped up in something like that. as parents, they feel like they need to do their best to protect their daughter, but they don't know what to do when the person they trust the least happens to be the person who makes meixiang smile the most. his parents on the other hand, don't really care that much. his mother's completely out of the picture, and his father has other things to worry about, and is just happy that jisung is happy.
  151.
  152. – WHY DO THEY HATE EACH OTHER AT FIRST:
  153. + honestly, meixiang just wants to make a good impression at her new school, and she wants to be liked by all her new peers, because she knows that so many people are going to judge her based on her parents' achievements, even though she wishes that wasn't the case. so it probably wasn't the best thing to do, but she hates jisung and all of his friends on principle, simply because they're the sons of evil villains. people already whisper about meixiang enough because of her failure to live up to expectations, she doesn't need the added gossip of her becoming best friends with villains floating around, too. as for jisung, well, he realises pretty quickly that meixiang doesn't like him, and because he's petty, he decides right then and there that he doesn't like meixiang either. but unlike meixiang, who ignores people when she doesn't like them, jisung goes out of his way to taunt her.
  154.
  155.
  156.
  157. ( HELLEVATOR )
  158.
  159. – FRIENDS:
  160. + THE LITTLE MERMAID
  161. the little mermaid is a bubbly and talkative person, which is probably the reason why she and meixiang get along so well. the little mermaid is friendly to everyone, and a friendly face is always welcomed, especially when people seem to stare at meixiang and whisper about her parents and their achievements. their personalities tend to balance each other out, as meixiang is more on the quiet and awkward side, and has difficulty making friends, while the little mermaid is good at holding conversations with everyone. meixiang needs a friend like that, to make up for her own awkward nature, and she's forever thankful for the fact that the little mermaid doesn't get sick of her awkwardness, and always goes out of her way to make sure the chinese girl is included in things.
  162.
  163. + SON OF HERCULES
  164. – AHN HYUKJAE (FC: lee jeno)
  165. meixiang finds solace in him, since they're a bit similar, given the fact that his father also achieved great things, and he has high expectations held over him, too. the only difference is that hyukjae is actually doing a pretty good job at meeting these expectations. however, he and meixiang kind of bonded over the fact that people expect them to be just like their parents, and they quickly became fast friends. even though hyukjae is on the popular side, he still enjoys spending time with meixiang, something that she's thankful for, because she really isn't good at making friends, and she's glad that he seems to want to be her friend, thanks to all the effort he's making. on the other hand, even though he really enjoys meixiang's company, i don't think he'd approve much of jisung, probably because their parents have a negative history, and he wants to best for meixiang. (in a way, he's a bit like the brother / guy best friend that meixiang never had).
  166. – [ you don’t have to use this but it was just something that i thought could be interesting ]
  167.
  168. – ENEMIES:
  169. + she doesn't really have any enemies, because she's not a big fan of conflict. the closest thing she has is the people who whisper about her, and are disappointed when they get to know her.
  170.
  171. – CLUBS:
  172. + captain of the volleyball team
  173. + student council treasurer
  174. + not a club, but she tutors people in math
  175.
