- I've decided to change two things about Kaizo Ironmon that I found weird. The first is not allowing Legendaries under 599 BST. The only thing not including these mons in your list does is limit you slightly more on your choices when similar Pokemon with way more to them are allowed that aren't Legendaries.
- The 2nd rule I changed is to allow the use of TMS obtained from the PC in your room and TMs that come on your starter Pokemon. I think if you're lucky enough to get a TM that your starter Pokemon is holding AND it's useable through the pure RNG that is the Randomizer settings, you should be allowed the use of these it.
- I could see people wanting to rationalize wild Pokemon held TMs as well with this rule in place, but I feel this could be way more abuseable if pivoting multiple times or grabbing HM friends and they all have TMs on them.
- My FireRed/LeafGreen Ironmon Rules

- 1. You may only use one Pokémon at all times. The only additional Pokémon you can carry is an HM Friend(s). If you wish to SWAP a Pokémon that you see in the wild, you commit to that new mon the moment you catch it UNLESS YOU STATE BEFOREHAND THAT ITS A HM FRIEND (HM friend cannot be used in battle swaps, same rules apply as the ultimate rule) (You do not need to kill your HM friend if they die)
- 2. You are allowed to catch Pokemon HIGHER than your level BEFORE you earn your first badge
- - Once you’ve completed your first badge, you can only catch Pokemon of the same level or lower
- 3. No use of TMs or Move Tutor except for TM's your starter is holding, ones your get from your pc, or the ones you get from Gym Leaders.
- - Ones you get from Pokemon you catch are NOT allowed to be used.
- 4. No using 599+ BST Pokemon (Legendaries are allowed if under 599)
- 5. After you earn your first badge, you may only catch a Pokémon that is equal to or lower than your current Pokémon's level
- 6. No Healing Moves of any kind (Recover, Milk Drink etc, No Drainpunch etc, No Leech Seed. No Refresh/Aroma etc) No Spore No Assist. This does not include the use of Metronome, Snatch, OR Magic Coat.
- 7. Huge Power/Pure Power. If your starter pokemon has a banned ability, you may use it in the lab fight only, once you leave the lab you must pivot.
- 8. The Catch or Kill rule is now Catch Only. No fighting any wild Pokémon.
- 9. No HP Healing Items while outside of battle.
- 10. The only Held Items allowed are Evolution items and Consumable Items like berries, herbs, juice etc. (Focus Sash is not allowed)
- 11. No Pokecenter-like healing in Dungeons (Example - Rocket Hideout NPC, SS Anne Bed, etc)
- - Dungeons are basically anything that isn't outside.
- - Examples: Gyms, Caves, Buildings with a giant Gauntlet
- 12. No use of any flute items for status healing
- 13. A few specific settings for Kaizo:
- - Static Pokémon MUST NOT have level increase
- - No "Make Evolutions Easier"
- - Forced Fully Evolved at Level 30
- - Add 3 Additional Pokémon to Boss Trainers
- 14. You may use Move Re-learner but cannot relearn the same move repeated times
- 15. If you accidentally kill a Pokémon while trying to scout a pivot, you DO NOT have to reset the run, but you must pivot to one of the mons in that route before leaving.
- 16. If you encounter a shiny, you are allowed to kill it for XP.
