  1. [15:41] Nicholas Philly: Mr. Niseru we're here today for your interview for the Position of Officer with the Cedar Creek Police Department, This interview will be recorded for review by the hiring board should the recommendation to hire be made. Do you agree to have this conversation recorded for that purpose?"
  2. [15:41] Bill Niseru nods, "Of course!"
  3. [15:43] Nicholas Philly: So the typical interview script isn't going to apply in your case so we'll get right to this, in the time since you've been gone from the CCPD have you continued to work in Law Enforcement?
  4. [15:45] Bill Niseru nods, "Yes sir. I went to another sim to work for a department" he pauses, "I will admit that I jumped the gun leaving this department and regret my actions"
  5. [15:46] Nicholas Philly nods "understood, so are you currently employed by this department?"
  6. [15:48] Bill Niseru nods, " I am always honest so I will tell you the truth. At this time yes I am, but when I applied for this department a few days ago I made a pledge to myself that I would solely be a member of this department if I am fortunate enough to be granted employment" he pauses and continues, "Dedication is important and unfortunately I let you all down when I left a month or two ago. I regret my choice that I made and understand how important dedication is"
  7. [15:56] Nicholas Philly nods so what your saying is that your currently an Officer with another department and only plan on leaving there if you were to be hired here. If thats true then how should this Department look at this situation as we wouldn't really know if you truly left the other Department. In addition how do you expect this Department not to feel as if your here either A: Because there is a monetary gain, or B: that your hear to bring information and or ideas back to the other Department?"
  8. [16:00] Bill Niseru nods, "I understand the importance of loyalty. I can assure you that if hired, I would leave that department immediately. I can assure you that I am not here for a monetary gain and would never violate confidentiality. I am here right now because I want to be here, not by any other factors. I admit that I made a mistake by leaving and giving up something I worked hard for" he pauses and continues, "You can ask any member of the department. Many of whom I have worked with for years and they know me. I was just too quick to jump to judgment and made a dumb decision"
  9. [16:04] Nicholas Philly nods "Okay, well the biggest concern that those very officers have, would be that historically your activity level is an issue. So if you were to be re-hired, you would be under a prolonged evaluation period we will be watching your activity closely. We are for sure aware of your abilities as an Officer, and that as far as I know has never been a questionable topic. However we are a busy department and need Officers who are not only loyal but dedicated."
  10. [16:04] Bill Niseru nods, "I completely agree Chief... What's a department without active people" he pauses and continues, "My schedule has changed giving me more availability and I know that I would be an active Officer. This community depends on law enforcement to ensure its safety and I would not take the job for granted"
  11. [16:11] Nicholas Philly nods "okay, so really for me this is the last question I have and I'd like you to think a bit about your answer here because this is important. Why do you think we should re-hire you?"
  12. [16:18] Bill Niseru nods, "A very important question indeed" he pauses and continues, "I am hard working and always get the task done. This is very important as a police officer because in many instances the task must be done right the first time. I enjoy interacting with the community and believe that the police should be working with the community.... not against it and that is what this department represents... a partnership with the community. I know that if I am fortunate to be given another chance I will prove to you that I would be a dedicated and active Officer.. a vital asset to this thriving community"
  13. [16:18] Nicholas Philly nods "very good Mr. Niseru, that will conclude the interview unless you have any questions for me."
  14. [16:19] Bill Niseru shakes his head, "Not at this time Chief. I really appreciate you taking the time to interview me"
  15. [16:20] Nicholas Philly stands and would reach his hand out to shake Bills "well thank you for coming, and we will be in touch with you soon."
  16. [16:20] Bill Niseru extends his hand out for a firm handshake, "Thank you Chief, I look forward to hearing back"
