  1. This event is to help my best friend and uso.

  3. He's a self-employed videographer from Hawaii, but has an apartment in a different state. He and his family live in Hawaii where he currently is. He's also from there. In his profession, he travels all over the country and world and usually is in airplane 4-5 times a week flying from shoot to shoot. He does pictures, he does weddings, he does commercials, there's literally nothing he doesn't do. However, thanks to covid-19, he's been able to obviously do this. With travel restrictions and quarantine requirements in just about every state, it's impossible for him to do what he's been doing for over 10 years. He's in Hawaii now at the moment, but as you know, Hawaii has had some of the most strict rules with covid, with now, requiring covid test for even entering the state and well as previously, if not again, restricting even inter-island travel of residents. Beaches are closed, parks are closed, things that did open are reclosing. He can't even do any shoots, only things that had started before which once they are done, that's it. He's invest a lot of money into equipment for shoots he was suppose to be doing (we are talking he was booked throughout all of this year and part of next) But with covid, social distance, clients cancelling, and travel inability, he's financially hurting) He's been stuck there since last February as he continues to pay rent on his home in UTAH and his car, which is ALSO in Utah and trying to help his parents if he even can. Obviously his shoots are being cancelled all over the place. With the 14 day mandatory quarantine for people flying into Hawaii, it wasn't even possible to work with clients since they clients would have to pay out of pocket for 2 weeks and self-quarantine on arrival due to Hawaii quarantine policies PRIOR to even being able to have their work done. This obviously increases the cancellations tremendously since they've have to sit for 2 weeks. And not just them, but all the guests who are apart of the event would have to follow the same protocols. This would basically nullify EVERY Hawaiian wedding shoot from people flying in. All his clients cancelled since, people don't want a wedding if they have this long 2 week restriction plus they can't even have their wedding guests in attendance... It's just quite a mess as you can see. Not only are the weddings shoots are non-existent but many hotels are closed (with some being reserved solely for quarantine travelers). All while this is going on, his grandma's house has been burglarizes numerous times, where people are stealing her and the families belongings. He's been investing so much into security only to have stuff taken and Honolulu police not working the case as much as they shoot. He's literally had to defend people who break in, if he can even get there in time. They even stole the security cameras he uses to monitor her house since he's at least 30 minutes away from where he lives. (Anyone that knows Hawaii knows how BAD traffic is) I want to help him.. He's been depleting his savings to get through, but when you have nearly 9 months of no income, that can nearly be exhausted. He's frustrated, we talk, and obviously it's something he doesn't like talking about because, well, he's usually the helper, the receiver of help. He is my best friend and i love him to death as the brother i never had. Although his total financial obligations probably won't be met in this fundraiser, i hope to raise at least $5K to mitigate his past debts (from his rent and car especially) as well and investments to get him through this time until he can at least travel safely (without being stuck in a state and unable to do other shoots). I mean, he's even trying to get work shooting funerals, but even that is limited since many people aren't looking for funeral videography, if they even have one due to covid restrictions. Only 10 people are allowed at funerals due to social distancing restrictions.. I've even had him work on editing my own content just to help give him income. Hawaii isn't cheap to live in as many people know. So yeah, this has taken him to close 1 year without income, downsizing things from a distance. He 's been doing SO much to try to stay afloat, selling things, downsizing, etc to still make it but even his best efforts can't surpass the damage and challenges that covid has presented. Many of them are things that uniquely effect people like him in this field. I've helped him myself but even i have my own obligations which is why i turn to you, my community to help out... At the moment, he's back in hawaii since his birthday last week and still has to pay his bills in Utah I've been giving him a piece of my Twitch check every month since about May 2020 every month to help him with rent, bills and even buying him groceries so he can live until his clients begin to rebook in this pandemic world...He's got a lot that can't be paid and I've done a lot to help many people voluntarily on stream and what not, but NOW, i need your to help my family again. If you can find it in your heart to help my brother, I and him would thank you tremendously!.
