- >The next few days settled into a balmy bliss that seemed to linger on for years rather than the scant few days that they actually were, with Lulu taking up more and more of her old work as Sammy's worries over her fellow maid proved to be unfounded, something you were very glad to see was the case.
- >Lulu was truly in her element after the scare she had given the two of you, but you try your best to keep the feeling of her limp and unresponsive in your arms buried deep in the back of your mind.
- >Lulu catches you watching her work, and your heart flutters as she gives you a smile, and you give your best attempt at one back in return.
- >Work, usually a soul crushing affair, was managing to be somewhat less the usual soul crushing slog it usually was, though perhaps that was because you'd barely been thinking about it, images of your girls filling your head where dread over the coming workday had once firmly lingered, refusing to let you think of anything else.
- >Still, the screams were a mainstay negative of the job, and you try not to let the thought of them soil the happy moment.
- >"A penny for your thoughts, Sir?" Lulu asked with an impish smile that she had no doubt picked up from Sammy, one that draws a chuckle from you.
- "Merely thinking of how lucky I am to have such amazing girls living with me."
- >You hear Sammy's trademark giggle from another room, and Lulu's cheek panels light up ever so cutely that you cannot help but give her a hug.
- >She's warm in your arms, and happily returns the hug, letting out a small squeal of delight as you give her a little twirl.
- >"You're encourageable, Sir." Lulu giggles and she lets out a content little sigh as you kiss her forehead.
- >The moment is broken however, when there is a sudden knock at your door, one that you had not been expecting.
- >"I'll get it!" Sammy calls, and you see her making her way to the door and opening it, only for her happy expression to immediately become slightly strained.
- >"Hello, Ma'am, is the human occupant of the house home?" a synthetic voice inquires. "I'm collecting signatures you see!"
- >Sammy looks your way, and you break away from Lulu to approach your front door.
- "What can I help you with?"
- >You ask, tone somewhat flat as the robot in front of you holds out an electrical signing sheet.
- >"I'm collecting signatures for an expansion of the Robotics Aid Department, or the RAD for short, we're hoping to collect enough human signatures to get an expansion approval for our downtown department you see!" the robot explains, and as you look him over you can't tell exactly where he was made, which is an oddity considering your field of expertise. "Every signature helps!"
- "Well, I suppose there's nothing wrong with that."
- >You give the sheet your signature and hand it back to the robot, wishing him luck in getting more signatures.
- >"Are you sure that was a good idea, Master?" Sammy asks, uncharacteristically worried. "I didn't recognize that robot's make or model, there is a chance that it could have been running a scam of some sort!"
- "I'll keep an eye on my accounts for the next few days in case it was."
- >You doubt that it could be anything serious though, your electronic signature isn't tied to any of your accounts after all.
- >But the reminder of your accounts gives you a small idea, and you smile to yourself.
- "But that reminds me of something I have to do, if you girls can hold down the fort for a moment, I'll be right back!"
- >You give Sammy a kiss on the forehead and give Lulu a wave before heading out the door with a smile.
- >"I wonder what Master could need to do so suddenly?" Sammy asks to herself, looking to Lulu for an answer only for her fellow maid to give her a mysterious smile.
- >"Sir is bound to the occasional flight of fancy, and if I say any more than that I fear that I may ruin the surprise," Lulu replied giddily.
- >You return around fifteen minutes later, and when you enter into the living room Sammy spots the Sheri's Pet and Supply shop branding on the side of the box, and her eyes widen as the box shakes as if something were moving inside of it.
- "Surprise!"
- >You cheer as you place the box on the floor and open it, revealing a Doberman puppy that causes Sammy to let out a squeal of delight and practically teleport to your side to pick up the puppy you'd seen her playing with a few months ago after your first anger management appointment.
- >"Sir, how- when-?" Sammy stutters between giggles as the Doberman puppy starts to lick her face.
- "I noticed you playing with that little one back then and started saving a little money to get him for you, do you have any ideas of a name for-"
- >"Anon Jr.!" Sammy cuts you off to exclaim the puppy's new name. "He reminds me of you Master, so I think that's the perfect name for him!"
- >You can't say no to her when she looks at you like that, so you nod your head and accept that the Puppy's name is Anon Jr. and you can only chuckle when the Doberman pup imitates your nod with one of his own.
- "Now if you girls wouldn't mind giving me a hand, we also have to bring in his food and amenities, like his doggy bed."
- >The next few minutes fly by, and soon Anon Jr. is happily sitting in your lap and completely ignoring his doggy bed as you all watch Our Sleepless City together.
