  1. As the professor settled down the board, a flock of colorful creatures flooded the back and the front doors of the campus, making all kinds of sounds and languages, creating an indescribable mess of a symphony. I did not wake up until Mark slapped my shoulder hard enough that could leave a mark 'til the day I died. I looked up and caught the eyes of an energetic bloke who could use his enthusiasm to power up a nuclear plant. He scratched his curly brown hair, unleashed a snowfall of scalp and whatever inhabited his dirty ass head, and packed up his Mac and his pile of notes into his big sporty bag with his other hand in a matter of seconds. He had never been in a hurry since all of his daily activities were 'calculated' and 'would never catch him by surprise'. After Barry Alen cleaned up his mess, he shoved his hands in the blue hoodie and tried to strike a pose to give out the vibe of him being a cool guy waiting for the sloppy mess of a human being to wake up from his would-be eternal slumber. The average Joe that was me finally raised my head up, accompanied by a boredom yawn and a slothful view of the watch. The class was over 10 minutes ago. I removed my hoodie, rolled it into a ball and pushed it into the abyss of an empty bag, got readied to leave this snooze fest. 'Come on Joe, gotta leave before those deranged vegan bitches come and screech into your ears', Mark looked around with a smirk. He was half-right. These girls were not really vegans but members from local clubs came to campus to attract dumb freshmen to join their not-very-free clubs by talking things that you wanted to hear and promising them away to improve their futures. For a guy like Mark, they were considered as 'a waste of time' and 'counterproductive' since he viewed that success only came when you reached it before anyone did and took it like capturing a flag. And he hated anyone who would dare to capture his prey before him. 'These youngbloods should save their money for a pair of tennis rackets and their costumes instead of these waste of time activities.', he said. My eyes rolled, as this was the 64th time he revealed his plan to lure these new ghosts into his tennis club. Me standing before him would be like a famous athlete standing under the sun with his shadow cast on the ground. I never got the energy from him despite being a childhood friend for a decade. It wouldn't be him that I hadn't intended to go to college and attend this very school. This chap really carried a deadweight on his back for years but still acted like it was for his daily exercise. I did not deserve a friend like Mark. He was light for me to follow but never able to reach it for it kept running further away from my reach. As my sadness and tiredness had grown throughout my first year and second year, isolationism had been my way to cope as my records in college went down without a sign of halting. I lost my goals in life. I...' Dude stand up, I don't want their rambling to ruin my day.’, Mark shouted, and he seemed to teleport to the back entrance 5 minutes ago. Did I just monologue for 5 straight minutes? 'Coming.', words came out unenthusiastically. Lamp posts were looming over our heads, shined the concrete yard with their full glory as lights of this nation’s future passed by each other.

  3. Did I mention the government allowed anthro people to study here? I shouldn't have called them anthro because they (the uppers) deemed it as 'specist' and 'problematic'. In most other countries, they had been in dispute about whether if they should allow POSs (people of other species) to be part of their societies because their biologies were different from us Sapiens, making them a pain to deal with. However, our government decided to welcome them in as an effort to prove that we were 'tolerant' and this country is the best. The best my ass. They trampled on us in every feats in life and as the consequence, sapiens lost most of the labor jobs since Lagonians (basically people who evolve from the Lagomorph family) had better physiques and could give faster output. I only saw them as breeding machines, botching the population of the sapie...’ Ow’, someone cried when my denser than the core of a star forehead met with their face. Under the lamp’s blinding light, a pure white Lagonian girl clutched her snout while papers flew around her like a swarm of butterflies. I was slightly stunned but soon realized the scene I had caused. ‘Sorry. Are you all right?’, I instinctively said. Then I recognized that face. Wasn’t that Beth from the weird crystal-obsessed club? Was I about to flee from her, a strong fuzzy hand grabbed me on the back and pinned to where I stood. ‘Don’t even dare.’, she snarled, revealing her buck teeth as I turned around. That creamy white curly strips of hair ran on her sides with a single lower bun at her back, crimson eyes that turned amber under the yellow light, the light pink snout with whiskers that went up and down constantly, and ears that tensed up like antennas scanning for enemies. An ugly sight to behold. I saw her walking around halls, passing out leaflets of her weird clu… ‘Wait, aren’t you the dude who signed up for our camp but gave us fake contact info? Isn’t it…Nate Higger?’. Welp, I guessed I got busted. I looked around frantically for Mark but he ceased to exist in a radius of 20 meters, leaving me to take the accord to my hands. As I was about to open my mouth, she dragged me to the direction of the campus, where I was 10 minutes ago.
