  25. Taiga Megumi says, "we meet in the fields name thief"
  26.
  27. Obelisk exclaims, "Hnnng?!"
  28. The battle continues long into the night. Taiga feels himself be pulled back into the thick of things once more, the unending sense of duty towards his family driving him to press further. By winning this battle, he'd prove to Salvas that he was strong. That he wasn't just some dumb kid with an equally stupid code. For Taiga, this was duty.
  29.
  30. To many, it was insane.
  31.
  32. Another target. One a lot closer to his age than last time too, thankfully. Taiga leaps in from above, his blade coming down in a vertical slice at Jhin! It misses by a hair, the samurai kid landing just a few feet in front of him!
  33.
  34. "Hwah!" He shouts, bringing his weapon around in a wide sweep! The fight was on without another word, Taiga showing no hesitation!
  35. (Taiga Megumi)
  36.
  37. Just as one would expect, Jhin had arrived late to the intensive battle taking place in Gehenna. While he felt that he didn't have much place to partake of in these battles, he was determined to stand for what he believed was right. He's witnessed the carnage that Dawn had wrought with their legion of undead, and even if battle surely terrified him, he'd seek to venture out once more in order to repel the forces that assailed this quaint jungle city. He had roamed throughout the forestry, his eyes scanning his surroundings carefully as his blade was kept a hold of with his right hand. A glint of silver is his own only indication that something was amiss, and he kicks back just in time to avoid a vertical slash!
  38.
  39. He stumbles back momentarily, his eyes widening as the lad shouted at him without so much as a word. This clearly had thrown Jhin off, but he would quickly adapt to the situation and prepare to fend Taiga off. A wreathe of flames protectively enwrap around him, and he shoots forward as his blade ignites with a brilliant hue!
  40.
  41. "Kraus, please watch over me!" He silently prays, preparing to invoke a catastrophic spell as his left hand wound back!
  42. (Jhin Wvelven)

  87.
  88. {RP BATTLE} YOU ROLLED 4 or less: You've sustained an injury in battle. It's up to you and your opponent to determine the specifics of the injury.
  89.
  90.
  91.
  92.
  93. You have received an INJURY from Taiga Megumi:
  94.
  95. {RP BATTLE} YOU HAVE ROLLED 2 OR OVER: You have evaded capture by your enemy! (Unless otherwise specified, your character may escape captivity)
  96.
  97. What a battle it was. Blades clash. The fire laid down by Jhin threatens to overtake him time and time again. But with each swell of flame, Taiga struggles harder and harder. A flurry of strikes rings out through the plains, the swordsmen crossing blades.
  98.
  99. Soon enough, both of the fighters are on their last legs. Taiga and Jhin, covered in blood and wounds. Taiga could feel himself slipping. His mind fading out of consciousness as each and every movement pushed him closer to passing out, blood pooling at his feet. He was swaying... but the look in his eyes hadn't changed since the start of the fight.
  100.
  101. Entirely focused on taking down his foe.
  102.
  103. "I won't... lose..." He heaves out. "HRRRRAAAH!" He wells up his power once more... then rushes forward. Jhin would feel time literally slow around him. Taiga's manipulation of not just wind, but the forces of reality itself. With this opening, Taiga plunges his sword forward.
  104.
  105. Jhin's gut is ran through, Taiga's blade cleanly piercing him. Taiga follows through, both of them collapsing to the ground in exhaustion and injury. He lays there, panting... unable to believe he had honestly won and survived.
  106.
  107. By the time Jhin regains consciousness, Taiga would be long gone. But the amount of blood spilled today is a sure sign that it was a harrowingly narrow match.
  108. (Taiga Megumi)
  109.
  110. Desc: "This character suffers from a deep stab wound through the stomach, as well as countless other minor injuries, mostly cuts, literring the body. Until the stab wound is properly treated, eating most foods is an ill advised option."
  111.
  112. Desc: "This character suffers from a deep stab wound through the stomach, as well as countless other minor injuries, mostly cuts, literring the body. Until the stab wound is properly treated, eating most foods is an ill advised option."
  113.
  114. The battle had been more than its fair share of close, but there was a stark contrast between the duo. That of which being the fact that Taiga evidently had more battle experience than the green-horned Wvelven. Pacing was a key ability required in the midst of combat, but it was clear that Jhin was not accustomed to fighting another, as he hastily unleashes waves of scouring flames. They did their damage to the youth, but it wasn't enough to push him back as his determination had overshadowed Jhin's own. The youth's eyes widen as he felt a blade slip through his stomach, spilling up blood from his lips as he soon stumbled back and collapsed along the flooring.
  115.
  116. His vision swam, and tears threatened to seep from his eyes as he clutches at his bloodied abdominals. This pain was something he was not accustomed to, and he could barely stay conscious as his opponent was already gone by the time he was able to realign his vision. The young man pants heavily, his body racking with pain as he stares up at the sky.
  117.
  118. "D...damn..Hotaru...I...what am I even doing out here?" He whispers to himself, clearly shaken up by the ordeal. He began to question why he had even come to defend this obscure nation, but perhaps he had been possessed by the desire to do something 'good', in his eyes. To prevent people from stomping over the beliefs of others, and to maintain the sanctity of a culture.
  119.
  120. Right now, he lives in regret, but the ember within his chest was finally ignited. The hunger for strength had been acquired, and the normally laid-back Wvelven was more determined than ever to overcome this obstacle and become stronger for it. He whimpers lightly as he forces himself to a shaky stand, hunched over as he stumbles throughout the forestry to retreat.
  121.
  122. His willpower would see him survive this. He would not abandon his beloved sister, though he could not help butbelieve that he had failed in his attempts to do right.
  123.
  124. Hopefully he would be forgiven.
  125. (Jhin Wvelven)
