I'm back again batboobs with another holly jolly puzzle hunt. So let's get into Puzzle 1 of Xmas 2017!

Ans:
The photo serves no purpose other than some holiday cheer. This is a simple straight forward riddle. If you are familiar with carols you'll notice that "holly jolly soul" an being a big fan of pipes and stovepipe hats can only be one person: frosty the snowman. So your answer is "frosty"


Hint 1:
Well, well aren't you clever. Don't get too smart though. In order to know what I really want here, you'll have to think about the past.

Welcome to it, what we have here is a simple substitution cipher, but not a substitution cipher that requires a password! So if you read the first part of the hint, I state "In order to know what I really want here, you'll have to think about the past." Which indicates that if you want to crack the cipher you'll need to look backwards for the password. Of course since there's only been one answer so far your password must be "frosty". Which if you create a cipher table means your decoder looks like this

While I do so enjoy the holidays, like most geniuses I've been accused of being narcissistic. So in order to show that I do not spend all day looking at my face, I'll make you instead! There's something missing on this galant work of art. If you can find it, that is your answer.

You are given a hint telling you something is  missing on the only Batman comic worth reading, why my introduction to the world of course! If you take a look at it, it is indeed missing something, but that may be hard to see if you haven't seen the original, so https://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/marvel_dc/images/1/16/Detective_Comics_140.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20060901134431. Taking a look at that you see it is missing the number "140". Which is of course the answer.

Hint 3:
You're doing quite well dork knight, but you must know that I don't like you to solve these puzzles too quick. So in that spirit, why don't you take a break and watch a movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIbb758r3wM. I think you'll enjoy it, it's a Christmas classic. I hope you count every SECOND of this film. Because while I want you to watch every minute, one part may be more important than another. Of course knowing that won't help you if you don't know how to look back and reflect on the things you've solved.

Ans:
In this hint you have a movie, but not just any movie, Miracle On 34 Street. I also state that you should count every "SECOND" of this film. If you know anything about youtube you can seek specific time points in films by making use of "t=" in the url. Combine that with the only number you have and you will jump to t=140s in the movie. Jump there and in the subtitles of the film you'll see the following pop up.
"The real miracle is that you found my true hint, so now I ask you, which of Santa's deer is a fan of sprinting?"
Which of course can only be "dasher".
