Reasoning: My character is built around assassination, they regressed the assassination arts in which were programmed into her memory drives, storing it in a place in her memory drive in which is on the way to being deleted, until more recent events occurred, her friend got badly injured due to a successful attempt to burn a certain bar down to the ground.

She is now in deep contemplation on re-using programming from a dark time in her life, that they'd have to slowly re-adjust to utilizing the techniques of which came with said programming, unable to immediately utilize the techniques as she is a Learner type AI, meaning that can easily grow rusty and re-master techniques if given a long enough time.

Which is what exactly happened with her, getting rusty.
