  18. elves would use seed oils to lightly fry or saute their protein lacking food. At an elven tavern maybe they'd eat bread like the Italians do? You know, dipping it in various oils.
  19. Elves steam or bake everything- Frying or grilling scares them.
  20. Elvish cuisine probably has wild game as the main source of meat, and a lot of emphasis on edible plants. Expect a complex blend of herbs and spices, with intricate flavors. On the other hand, they probably have minimal cereal grains.

  22. Dwarves sometimes bring Worm Steaks, round cuts from the giant worm farms.
  23. Dwarven cuisine is rich and savory, with an emphasis on long cook times. Stews, soups, and roasts are dwarven staples. Vegetables consist mainly of roots and fungi, with surface plants seen either as a rare treat or viewed with suspicion. Minimal spices are used, but they're very good at adding exotic mineral salts bring out a dish's best flavors.

  25. Orcs are actually damn good chefs, with rather varied food. Spicy, though.
  26. Orcs are primary carnivores, and as such, there's one thing on the table - meat. Anything too complex to be cooked over a campfire is haute cuisine. Barbecue, kabobs, and roasted meats are common. Fruits, nuts, berries, and easily-scavenged vegetables serve as filler or flavoring, and are mixed into surprisingly-complex marinades. If available, orcs will love peppers - spicy food is seen as a challenge, and the more an orc can endure, the greater the status in the eyes of his people. Expect orcs who have discovered peppers to cook food that can sear your very soul.
