  41. Description
  42.
  43. Level 4 is a natural continuation of the previous courses levels 1-2 and 3.
  44.
  45. This course can be divided virtually into three parts:
  46.
  47. Take those three parts as virtual subdivisions of the course structure rather than in a sequence.
  48.
  49. Technical part
  50. There are included a set of scales and arpeggios. We have been playing scales in the previous levels but not to such an extent.
  51.
  52. In this course, we have 5 scales and three arpeggios:
  53.
  54. Scales:
  55. - C major - 2 octaves
  56. - A minor harmonic - 2 octaves
  57. - A minor melodic - 2 octaves
  58. - F major - 2 octaves
  59. - Chromatic scale starting on G - 1 octave
  60.
  61. Arpeggios:
  62. - C major - 2 octaves
  63. - A minor - 2 octaves
  64. - F major - 2 octaves.
  65.
  66. The technical part includes also a few exercises distributed throughout the course to help you to understand and practice different rhythm models such as Swing. Triplets, Syncopation etc.
  67.
  68. Music theory
  69. The theory presented in the course is minimized and restricted as much as possible to what you will be needing in the course.
  70.
  71. The new things that we will come across within this course are:
  72. - Double-dotted Quarter note
  73. - Triplet
  74. - Syncopation
  75. - Swing Rhythm
  76. - Tone Colors
  77. - Melodic Minor Scale
  78. - Campanella
  79. - Muting
  80.
  81. During the course, there will be provided specific exercises for some of those concepts.
  82.
  83. - Implementation
  84. - The pieces that are included in the course are:
  85. - Etude No. 4 - Valentin Spasov
  86. - Melancholia -Valentin Spasov
  87. - Romanze Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806 - 1856)
  88. - Tempo di marcia -Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806 - 1856)
  89. - Blue Pearl - Valentin Spasov
  90.
  91. Supplementary Pieces
  92. in the last section of the course, there are several supplementary pieces to implement the skills and knowledge that you have acquired during level 4. If you do everything properly you shouldn’t have problems playing those pieces and many others that are of a similar technical level, just by yourself.
  93.
  94. Who this course is for:
  95. - This course is for students who have completed my previous courses Levels 1, 2 and 3, and are willing to move forward.
  96. - Alternatively you should be familiar with classical guitar basics, positions I, II, V, able to play arpeggios, free and rest stroke etc.
