(18:00:34) Rajni stalked into the arena, once again fully healed and ready to fight. The beast was huge. A towering mass of muscle and scales, rich ink-black hues mingled subtly with near-black hints of grey, green, and red. Faded feathers crested her head, and the fiery stare turned out towards the quiet arena as she storde towards its center on taloned feet. A simple chain, thick and heavy, was wrapped about an arm and meaty fist, its end trailing nearly to the ground. Strong arms crossed over the flat chest, and the reddened gaze turned towards the Arena's gates in readiness for her newest opponent.
(18:06:01) Ullr wasn't nearly quite as majestic as the rex in his entry. He was but a man, and a rather short one in comparison to most patrons at Guildereim, who had no real defining feature to him besides those two white, curving horns atop his head, jutting out from his helm that had been designed specifically for them. His own wounds hadn't yet properly healed, the bruises of his eye sockets now turning a distinct yellow-brown that made a mask over the top portion of his face, but thankfully the nose guard of the helm hid any such detail from view. While usually appearing anxious the boy was instead sullen, his eyes pointed to the floor as he made his way in, scarcely even looking at his opponent until he found his place at the opposing wall to Rajni, his peculiar, iridescent sword already unsheathed and his round shield equipped into his other hand. >>
(18:06:03) Ullr. Ullr's icy blue eyes glanced up towards the towering brute and inhaled deeply through his nostrils. This was going to be a difficult one. Nothing was spoken but instead the Norwegian offered a single nod in her direction, signaling his readiness to begin. <<

(18:12:40) Rajni examined the little man briefly, eyeing his helm and armor. ...it would be unpleasant to strike, though such a thing never really made a difference. Her head nodded, short and sharp, and the chain jingled as its end was swept up by her free hand. "Good fight," was her only offering, rumbled like thunder as the heavy, taloned feet shifted against the sand-covered stones. Then it began. Though her movements were far from blindingly fast, they were sure, and her approach was inexorable. A chain-wrapped hand struck out for the boy's helm, the Rex looking to close and force him back towards the wall.

(18:15:15) Ullr simply wasn't fast enough to parry or dodge Rajni's incoming strike. He barely had time to lift his shield or take a step backwards before the brute's chain covered fist caught the side of his helmet, giving a loud, shrill ring of metal and rocketed his skull backwards, easily opening a cut on his forehead where the nose guard had been forced into his flesh. Dizzy and giving a grunt in pain, he stumbled backwards several paces before trying to right himself, his vision still swimming as he attempted to retaliate, slashing out with his sword for Rajni's belly in an opposing attempt to force her backwards and give himself some space.

(18:21:01) Rajni's steps continued, drawing her close, and closer still, to the horned lad. His swift slash was partially blocked by that chain-covered arm; it slid awkwardly, opening a small gash on the muscled belly and earning a faint snarl as lips drew back from completely inhuman teeth. The clawed hand rose to rake down his chest, seeking to part the tough leather armor, or perhaps continue to force him further and further back. His sword was eyed warily, but her main interest was getting too close for his shield to be of much use to him.

(18:25:12) Ullr's chest stood little chance against Rajni's claws. Leather and flesh parted as easily as damp paper, and blood oozed readily from the wound, no doubt coating the rex's claws in his warm life force. This time, the boy cried out at the searing, hot pain that streaked down his chest, knocking the proverbial wind out of him for a moment. He was starting to panic, knowing all too well now that Rajni was physically stronger than him. Sucking in a wavering breath through his teeth Ullr snapped out with his shield first, looking to catch her chain-wielding arm in some effort to disarm her of the weapon, while in the process seeking to slip around to behind the woman and send a horizontal slash for the small of her back in a double attack.

(18:29:24) Rajni shifted slightly; she was becoming more accustomed to these fights, and dealing with those far swifter than herself. An angling of her body had his shield slip by her, so close it nearly caught at one of the chain's links. She turned with him, his sword slicing the air between them, while she poured on a sudden burst of speed. A vicious clawed foot struck out for his belly in a brutal kick, and a half moment later she sent the chain whipping towards his helmeted head, flashing in the distance between them like a striking viper. (18:33:48) Ullr simply wasn't in the state of mind to focus properly. After his first heavy bout of drinking (and taste of the Dirty Mistress) his movements were sluggish and delayed, allowing the rex to reign brutal Hell upon him. Rajni's kick was powerful enough that it sent the poor lad sprawling to the floor with a hard huff of air, groaning as he stubbornly tried to get up but failing as that chain whipped out, catching the side of his helmeted skull and sending the suffering boy into the realm of the unconscious with very little effort at all, and no doubt putting a decent dent into his helm in the process as well. No doubt he had made for a rather disappointing opponent.
(18:36:36) Rajni stood ready for him to rise again, but the fallen boy didn't even twitch. Her head cocked to the side for a moment, blearily gazing at him. Then the chain was draped across her shoulders and she stalked forward, scooping him up in a single blood-covered arm. She was victorious...but the horned youth wasn't even twitching. Savage as she was, she was loathe to leave him bleeding in the dust; the Rex carried him off to the infirmary to ensure he'd receive aid. Chalk another one up for the big brute.
