Tehpillowstar's Basic Loadout Proposal mk 2

Tehpillowstar's Basic Loadout Idea:

An uncomfortable source of Fridge Logic (which sadly is only one of many) is how the Poolboys always seem under-equipped for their jobs. This idea is proposed by Tehpillowstar as both part of the solution to both the Load Restructure and to the War on Fridge Logic. This idea may also be used in combination with other proposed Load Restructure solutions.

The Basic Loadout will be a free package containing both equipment universal for the Poolboys and equipment pertaining to their department. This package may also be used in conjunction with other equipment that the Player may desire for their character to carry. The contents in this package have been brainstormed by myself and EchoFourDelta.

-Foundation-issue Firearm
Ideally a rifle and a secondary weapon, such as a pistol. The player may customize this to their wishes. Overly exotic or impractical firearms should be frowned upon.

-Body Armor
A kevlar vest covering the torso, lower back, groin and backside areas, along with a protective wrap around the throat and neck. This also comes with a helmet (Which a small camera can be mounted, to record expeditions, help Poolboys improve themselves in the field and help aid in the writing of AARs). Echo suggested that this equipment (along with other types of uniform or combat fatigues) would be in digital desert camouflage, which is effective in many types of environments.

-Ammunition

(One proposed plan is that ammunition takes up no load unless the weapon that the character has is 3 load or higher.)

-Knife
A very useful tool and melee weapon, although impractical as a primary weapon. Seriously guys, Ranged>Melee. RANGED>MELEE.

-Light Sources

 ~Vanilla flashlight
Pretty self-explanatory. Sometimes it gets dark, ya know?

-Camelpak
People get thirsty after an hour of running away from baddies. Don't drink from untreated streams in alien dimensions, folks.

-Gloves
Echo recommends Oakley Pilot, while PaulS_laptop recommends Mechanix. Still, you probably don't want to go running around touching random things and say, rub your eyes.

-MOPP
Basically a hazmat suit...but for COMBAT. Includes field mask, and all those fancy things (mask, suspenders, boots, gloves, shirt-thing). In a world where highly paid, elite Keter personnel are thrust into the unknown with little warning of what they may be facing, Why wouldn't you bring one with you?
