  1. But now, after a fierce fight with the Final Judgement, he had no time to celebrate, not even a chance to ensure Alalu is dead. Instead, the roar of flames and laughter lanced paranoia through his skull.
  2.
  3. The cabin door slammed open to reveal that overgrown god. Every part of his being hurts, his eye is missing, and the pumping adrenaline muffled his perception. But he could see the chaos all around him. The fire. The bloodshed. Two strangers, one living and one dead. Frederick felt only intense confusion.
  4.
  5. This isn’t how this was supposed to *go.*
  6.
  7. Frantically, he looked around for Mikio, unsure why his knight hadn’t completed his task…only to find the gardener barely conscious, grappled in the wooden arms of Planet Home.
  8.
  9. There they stood, Frederick’s former allies. Evelyn’s face was pale, her body shuddered, struck by yet another death unfolding right in front of her. Jamir had a hand placed on her upper back, but upon meeting Frederick’s gaze, he found that he has nothing more to say.
  10.
  11. So someone else spoke up instead.
  12.
  13. “Theeere you aaaare…” Errok practically sang. He took a step closer, blade in one hand, syringe in the other, and scalpel still embedded in his neck.
  14.
  15. Frederick stared blankly at the scene before him, his eye twitching in barely restrained anger. Glancing at Mikio, he felt the smallest pang of sadness at his friend's defeat. But this was smothered as his fury nearly blinds him.
  16.
  17. *This isn’t how this was supposed to* ***go.***
  18.
  19. In his own indignant anger, Frederick didn’t notice Errok slip into his blind spot and charge towards him.
  20.
  21. Just as Frederick went to speak and buy time for his Servants to return, he felt a sharp pain in his side. He quickly turned, only to see that wretched flesh heap had stabbed him with a…syringe.
  22.
  23. With a pained cry, he ordered his last Servant to crush this ingrate’s skull. But it could only give an empty gaze as its arm started to wither. Alarmed, Frederick struggled for an explanation, only to find his own arm withering in turn. Screaming with agony and fright, scrambling back, Frederick’s wilting legs collapsed and sent him crashing to the dirt.
  24.
  25. ** “W-what is this!?** ***WHAT HAVE YOU INSIGNIFICANT FUCKS DONE TO ME!?”***
  26.
  27. “Same thing I’ll do to every prick who thinks that they’re too good to rot,” Errok leers, looming over him with a smile. “I’m giving you your *medicine.”*
  28.
  29. ** “NononononononNONONONOOO! PLEASE! I CAN'T DIE LIKE THIS, IT ISN'T FAIR!”** Yet, Frederick's body continued to wither away. He couldn’t help but tear up as he searched for any way out of this situation.
  30.
  31. *There wasn’t one.*
  32.
  33. **“PLEASE DON'T KILL ME LIKE THIS!!! I'VE DONE NOTHING TO DESERVE THIS!!! IT'S NOT FAIR I TELL YOU!!! NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR, Not fair…Not fair…Not fair…”** Frederick Loverman screamed to the heavens themselves, frantically trying to think of any way to save himself as he withered into nothingness. His life flashed before his eyes, his sins playing back as if they were a movie.
  34.
  35. Then he looked up and met the eyes of Jamir O’ Santos for the very last time. His expression unreadable, the man speaks. “No, it isn’t fair, is it?”
  36.
  37. These are the last words Frederick hears before at last… he dies.
  38.
  39. ***__Frederick Loverman, age 25, self-proclaimed Ruler of Everything… Utterly RETIRED__***
  40.
  41. As the Dola breathed his last, Jamir let out an exhale of his own. He glanced at Evelyn, but she did not look back. Her eyes were closed to the bloody scene, though tears kept flowing. “…I didn’t want *this,”* she whispered.
  42.
  43. “But you *got it.”*
  44.
  45. Mikio looked upon his friend’s corpse with an empty gaze, Red Lines squirming in his eye socket. “Congrats, you two…” the Gardener’s voice thrums with venom and misery. *“You won.”*
  46.
  47. *“WRONG!”* A voice boomed through the woods. Errok, turning back to the three, smiled with delight.
  48.
  49. *“I* have won! Me, Errok!” Indeed, Errok never felt better. After being mocked and disregarded for so long, he had shown that had always been a *true threat.* Not just to these Stand users, but to life itself! Perhaps it was the blood loss or the drugs in his veins, but Errok feltpositively jubilant! “Of course…there was no doubt. I am the Apostle of Rot, and no doctor nor god nor salesman can resist my power!”
  50.
  51. “Now as for what you owe me…”
  52.
  53. The Apostle considered the flower for a moment, watching as Evelyn subtly shifted closer to Mikio and Jamir watched his next move in stony silence…before he simply laughed.
  54.
  55. “I don’t need your petty research. I already have the power of decay in my hand! For now, your expressions are my reward. Know that if I change my mind and feel like taking what I want…*you can’t stop me.”*
  56.
  57. Tearing the helmet off of SAD’s head, Errok begins sauntering into the burning forest, waving behind him with 「You Are Blood」.
  58.
  59. “Indeed! No one can stop Errok, the Knightslayer, the Lifebreaker, the Destroyer of Souls!” He turned to flash Jamir a twisted grin, taking in the beautiful carnage he had wrought. “Yes… *I like the sound of that.”*
