CaC backstory

Among the few saiyans lucky enough to be off world when planet vegeta was destroyed. Pepphra and a handful of other survivors landed on a distant planet and prepared to take it for themselves. Even though individually the members of the attack group were stronger than any native, the arrogant saiyans underestimated their enemy and were overwhelmed. The attack failed leaving the 2 adults dead and the 2 children, Pepphra being one, scattered and alone. With no other options, she became a thug to survive her new urban environment and kept to herself. Her strength was noticed by another youth who then approached her about joining a small gang of adolescents with the intention of protecting each other from the more violent elements in the city. She decided to join if only for the group benefits and soon became their bruiser. Through her interactions with the tight knit, well meaning gang she began to develop empathy for others and learned worth can be measured though more than just martial strength. She embraced her new life and eventually forgot the callous saiyan ways she was taught as a young child. Years passed until a new criminal element appeared in the area. The other surviving saiyan had begun violently taking over the criminal underground of the surrounding area. Her gang was wiped out in a violent confrontation and a teenage Pepphra was left badly injured. An investigator took note of her as the lone survivor and suggested that she join the police force to help bring those responsible for the slaughter of her friends to justice.  She graduated the academy and was put to work keeping the streets safe along with a partner. After months of gathering evidence, a key witness was going to ensure the saiyan criminal will answer for his crimes. Pepphra and her partner were charged with keeping the witness safe until the trial. However, days before the court date both the witness and Pepphra's partner are found dead, murdered by the other saiyan. Without the witness the case fell apart and it seemed the saiyan criminal would surely walk free. Fueled by the grief of losing a close friend and the anger of seeing a villain walk free, a familiar saiyan rage started to burn within her. After rationalizing to herself that this saiyan was too powerful for any other officer, or even prison, to handle, she decided to take matters into her own hands knowing well she would be breaking the law herself. She accepted this as her fate if it meant bringing justice to such a dangerous individual. During their battle Pepphra learned to embrace the saiyan rage that had been simmering within her and used it to avenge her friends. After a hard fought battle, the two saiyans exchange mortal blows. The criminal saiyan soon dies from his wound but Pepphra lingers a little longer. Long enough for her body to be engulfed in a blinding light. Rather then let a potentially valuable ally parish for good, Pepphra was pulled from her time and recruited into the time patrol. She continues to fight for what she believes is just and defends the timeline.
