  1. Good day to all concerned parties, this is Jolts. I'm here to show the team I used for the second fighting core challenge. I needed to use Cobalion and Pangoro, which is ok because their typing are actually ideal for a fighting team. Fighting is one of the most offensive types and I made my team accordingly. I made my team as versatile as I could to try and deal with any type. So let's get to the team.

  53. - Drain Punch
  54. - Psycho Cut
  55. - Thunderpunch
  56.
  57.
  58. Cobalion: Cobalion is a nice bulky attacker. He has enough bulk to take most physical hits and a lot of non-super effective special hits. He can paralyse, set up rocks and hit back with iron head and close combat. Although he doesn't have serene grace, the T-wave-iron head paraflinch still works pretty great. He is my best bet to take down a Clefable.
  59.
  60. Pangoro: With an assault vest he is my bulky attacker there to take special hits and hit back hard. He is a nice switch in to pokemon like meloetta or fast special attackers like gengar. His big weakness to fairy is his main downfall, but he has enough bulk lived non-stab dazzling gleams from pokemon like gengar before. Plus his ability scrappy allows him to hit mega sableye and aegislash in the face with a drain punch. He has crunch and drain punch for his main STAB and poison jab and ice punch for coverage.
  61.
  62. Terrakion: Terrakion is my main sweeper and best counter to mega pinsir. I decided to make him adamant instead of jolly so that he deals even more damage and his base speed of 108 allows him to outspeed most pokemon (including a lot of scarfers like heracross and excadrill) anyways. He has stone edge to sweep through flying teams after skarm and landorus are gone, close combat for his secondary STAB, earthquake so that he can hurt aegislash and iron head for annoying fairy scarfers like gardevoir and togekiss.
  63.
  64. Keldeo: Keldeo is the only special attacker in this team. Fighting has an enormous lack of special attackers so I made sure keldeo can do enough damage to cover for that. This is why I decided on a specs set instead of a sub/calm mind set, because this set only gives you a bigger disadvantage vs slowbro. I chose to give him surf instead of scald or hydro pump, because I wanted to do the maximum damage with 100 accuracy to be safe. His other moves are secret sword as his secondary STAB, ice wind to hit grass and flying types super effectively and hidden power ghost for slowbro. I had the choice to get HP dark or electric instead, but I wanted to hit gardevoir and medicham super effectively also and im not too worried about meloetta since I got Pangoro.
  65.
  66. Infernape: Infernape is there to take will-o wisps and to do the most priority damage. He's also usually my lead vs fairy in order to try and kill klefki as fast as I can before he sets up too many screens. He has mach punch for priority, flare blitz and close combat for max STAB damage, and thunderpunch to hit pokemon like charizard-y, gyarados and azumarill.
  67.
  68. Medicham: My mega. I chose for a bulky medicham because he has enough bulk to take a lot of hits and deal back major damage while healing back with drain punch. His other moves are fake out for priority and extra damage, psycho cut for secondary STAB and thunderpunch to surprise hit and 2HKO slowbro and skarmory. He is there to break through physical walls, because of my lack of special attackers. Unfortunately I couldn't get bullet punch for double priority, but sacrifices had to be made.
  69.
  70. The biggest threats for this team are the following:
  71.
  72. -Slowbro: this team can deal with most psychic pokemon, but slowbro is still a major threat as he can wall almost my whole team. I usually need to either kill him with keldeo or surprise kill him with t-punch medicham. Or he needs to be low enough for pangoro to kill him with crunch. But if he can set up with calm mind he becomes incredibly dangerous.
  73. -Mega Pinsir: His flying priority is a major threat and the only one who can stop him is terrakion, since he usually carries EQ or close combat to hit cobalion. Terrakion is his main counter, but if the opponent switches him in and out I have to make sure to get rocks up with cobalion.
  74. -Belly Drum Azumarill/Slurpuff: The biggest problem with fairy teams are these guys. As soon as the belly drum gets up they would have to be low enough for medicham to kill with fake out or I'm in big trouble. Slurpuff can heal back with drain punch and outspeeds everyone with unburden and (huge power) azumarill can OHKO everyone except keldeo with aqua jet.
  75. -Volcarona: max speed timid volcarona with giga drain can sweep almost everybody after 1 quiver dance. Pangoro or medicham can live a hit, but they have the risk of getting burned by flame body, which would be a major setback. My best bet would be infernape, but if they carry hp ground or hurricane he is screwed as well.
  76. -Aegislash: Aegislash can become a huge threat if hes not dealt with early on. If he gets SD and WP boost he can kill almost my whole team with shadow sneak. He is actually faster then pangoro in most cases and terrakion cant deal enough damage with EQ. Cobalion can only paralyse him in the hope of getting some hax. My best bet is keldeo who can do some major damage with a specs surf and finish with terrakion EQ.
  77. -Mega altaria: Be aware of this one. If he physically sets up with dragon dance im in major trouble. Terrakion does not always do enough damage with iron head and cobalion is not guaranteed to live a hit.
  78.
  79. That about wraps up my team. The core challenge was fun and I'd love to try again with another type!
