  1. >You don’t have to wait long. Within minutes the animals and birds begin to wake up.
  2. >Quite a lot of the rodents yawn and stretch, just like you’d do. Even a few of the birds. It’s very strange, to say the least.
  3. >The room gradually fills with gentle chitters and tweets. A few look at you, but none of the animals seem to be outright panicking at your presence.
  4. >In particular, a large white rabbit with what is definitely a frown on its face is staring at you.
  5. >Your meet its gaze. It raises a hand (paw?), points at its eyes, then to yours.
  6. >You raise your eyebrows, but put your hands out in front of yourself. “Hey, I don’t want any trouble.”
  7. >Why are you talking to a rabbit, Anon? That’s just silly.
  8. >It seems to get the message though. It gives a single nod, then bounds up the stairs.
  9. >You hear what sounds like knocking (do rabbits knock?), then the unmistakable sound of hooves from the room above.
  10. >A door opening, a few softly spoken words - that you don’t understand, but recognise as ‘horse’ - and back to hoof steps, coming down the stairs.
  11. >It turns out to be the yellow pegasus. So you must be in its house, you guess.
  12. >It gives you a warm smile, which you find yourself returning. It’s been very kind to you so far, all things considered.
  13. >You feel that you should definitely find a way to repay it, at some stage.
  14. >The pegasus begins feeding the animals, putting down little bowls of birdseed and green food pellets.
  15. >It tries to push one of the latter into your hands, but you smile at it and shake your head. You’ve already eaten.
  16. >Besides, hospitality or no, you weren’t quite prepared to eat that.
  17. >Its smile turns into a look of worry, and it tries to push the bowl into your hands again, firmer this time.
  18. >You can’t resist that face. It’s too bloody adorable.
  19. >Rolling your eyes, you take the bowl. It smiles at you again, then trots off to the kitchen.
  20.
  21. >You move to tip your pellets into other bowls, but before you can even start the door bursts open with a slam.
  22. >Oh hey, it’s that rainbow pegasus from earlier! With two others!
  23. >Neither of them seemed to have wings or horns. One of them was a bright shade of pink, and the other was orange with yellow hair.
  24. >The orange one might have been wearing a cowboy hat. You didn’t manage to get a proper look before the pegasus threw itself into you.
  25. >You fly backwards and hit the floor, your head whipping back and slamming into it hard.
  26. >FUCKING PISSBALLS, that hurt
  27. >Before you can recover, the pegasus stomps on your chest, driving whatever air was left out of your lungs
  28. >You try to fight it off, but it’s much too fast, and the throbbing pain at the back of your head is making it hard to react fast enough, or even think.
  29. >It dances around your flailing arms, and alternates between slapping you across the face and stomping on your chest.
  30. >You feel something tighten around your injured ankle. The sudden tugging causes you to scream out.
  31. >What is that? Is that rope? Why is there rope?!
  32. >It’s almost impossible for you to think. Your vision is darkening at the edges. You can hear something else screaming along with you.
  33. >Don’t pass out, don’t pass out, don’t pass-
  34. >The pegasus grabs your head in both hooves and slams it into the floor again, knocking you out cold.
  35. >Fuck
  36.
  37. >As you regain consciousness, the first thing you notice is how much everything hurts. The second is that you feel sick to your stomach.
  38. >Your head hurts most of all, it feels like a train has run over your skull. You let out a groan.
  39. >You hear a small gasp, and something soft starts stroking the side of your face. Without really thinking, you reach out and pull whatever it is into a hug.
  40. >It stiffens for a moment, but slowly relaxes and begins to return the favour. You open your eyes.
  41. >It’s the yellow pegasus. Damn, you really like that yellow pegasus.
  42. >You release it. It smiles, and starts nudging your side with its face. It seems it wants you to get up.
  43. >You’re happy to oblige, although it takes a few false starts. Once you’re up, you have to grab hold of a roof beam.
  44. >Your head is spinning, and the urge to vomit rises. The yellow pegasus flaps up and grabs hold of your shoulder.
  45. >Thankfully, the feeling passes before you throw up everywhere. On shaky legs, you let it lead you outside.
  46. >The purple unicorn from yesterday is there. It seems to be shouting at the blue pegasus and the orange horse. The orange one appears to be ashamed, its ears are flattened and it’s not meeting the purple ones gaze. The blue one looks more annoyed than anything, although its ears are flattened as well.
  47. >Huh. Turns out the orange one WAS wearing a cowboy hat.
  48. >As the door clicks shut, they all turn to stare at you. The purple one approaches with what you hope is a friendly smile, and it tries trying to talk to you.
  49. >You sigh. This lack of communication is starting to prove fatal. “I’m sorry, I still can’t understand you. Me no speaky horsey, comprende?”
  50. >It just rolls its eyes, motions for everyone to follow, and walks down the path. The blue pegasus glares at you and follows it.
  51. >You do not like that blue pegasus.
  52. >The orange horse avoids your gaze, but falls in line behind you and the yellow pegasus.
  53. >On the road ahead are three golden chariots, each pulled by two white pegasi. They’re all wearing golden armour. The style faintly reminds you of ancient Grecian. Or Roman, maybe?
  54. >You recognise that stiff sort of stance though. They’re definitely guards of some kind.
  55. >The pink horse from earlier is sitting in the back chariot, along with a white unicorn with purple hair. It smiles from ear to ear and waves at you, as if you were already the best of friends. The white one just stares.
  56. >You’re led into the front chariot, the purple unicorn and yellow pegasus squeezing in beside you. The orange horse and blue pegasus take the middle one.
  57. >The purple unicorn says a few words, and the chariots begin to roll.
  58. >You were fully prepared to just shut your eyes and rest until the ride was over, but something didn’t feel quite right. You look over the side of the chariot.
  59. >The wheels aren’t touching the road anymore. You’re flying, and gaining height!
  60. >That dizzy feeling overcomes you again, this time far too strong to handle. You noisily and messily vomit apple chunks over the side.
  61. >”Oh god. I hope there’s nothing down there” you say, in-between retches.
