  6. <DM> *You find yourself on the shore line. A vast ocean awaits you, and behind you is a tall forest. However... you find you can't actually..... move.*
  7. <Lightwall> Ngggh. What the heck?
  8. * Lightwall looks at his body.
  9. <DM> *Your body is half-see through, like you're phased out of reality.*
  10. <Lightwall> O_O
  11. <DM> *A calm, deep voice speaks to you...*
  12. <DM> [???]: Find me...
  13. <DM> [???]: Find me along the wayward shore, beyond the Moblin Forest. I await your arrival, Lightwall.
  14. <Lightwall> Hello? Who are you?
  15. * Lightwall tries to move again.
  16. <DM> *From the source of the voice, you see the back of a Zora, clad in armor.*
  17. <Lightwall> Hey!
  18. <Lightwall> Um, excuse me?
  19. <DM> *Before the Zora turns your way, the vision stops, and you awaken in the midst of Hyrule Field. The sun is just peeking over the mountains to the east.*
  20. <Lightwall> Whoah... trippy.
  21. <DM> *Your party from earlier is barely visible in the distance, heading north. Meanwhile, a caravan passes by and stops next to you.*
  22. * Lightwall looks up at the caravan, curiously.

  27. * Passerby appears to be an older Hylian. He tips his hat off and waves at you from the carriage.

  32. <Lightwall> Just... a little... something ... weird going on.
  33. * Lightwall stands up and walks to the caravan.
  34. <DM> *The caravan stands before you, staring blankly at you- oh wait, it's not a wall, nvm that.*
  35. <Lightwall> Have you seen a group of people? I was some people and got lost.
  36. <Passerby> Yer lookin' a bit shaky there, partner! How 'bout ye board the carvy van 'ere an' I take yer to Lake Hylia ter rest, eh fella?
  37. <Lightwall> Yes, please.
  38. * Lightwall goes to board the caravan.
  39. <DM> *You find there's a good bit of room in the caravan. A kid is passed out on one of the benches under some blankets next to a few barrels of fruit.*
  40. <Passerby> People? Uhh... well, I saw some folks heading north a bit ago. Were they with ye?
  41. * Lightwall finds an empty seat and sits down.
  42. <Lightwall> Yeah, but I didn't really know them.
  43. <DM> *It appears the old man did not hear your typo. His hearing isn't so good, it seems, despite he's a Hylian.*
  44. <Lightwall> (lol)
  45. <Lightwall> We were searching for someone, but they might've found him already.
  46. <Passerby> Ah, so yer one of them travelin' folks that just bounces 'round from group to group, eh?
  47. <Lightwall> Yeah, kinda'.
  48. <DM> *He starts the horses back up, and it begins moving back to the west towards Lake Hylia.*
  49. <Lightwall> I like helping others.
  50. <Passerby> Ahh... I was an adventurer like ye once... those were the days.
  51. <Passerby> Ye, that's what I was hopin' to do.
  52. <Lightwall> What kind of stuff did you do?
  53. <Passerby> Oh, well, ya see, I was just a farmer back then. Well, still am, but... wasn't so friendly at the time, nay it wasn't.
  54. <Lightwall> Oh. ...
  55. <Lightwall> So you dreamed of being an adventurer?
  56. <Passerby> Gorons, Hylians, Gerudo, all the races... they weren't so happy. So I had to kinda diplomatic my way 'round, and take round-a-boot ways.
  57. <Passerby> Yeah, I guess me wanted to be an adventurah, but uhh... some nasty war broke out.
  58. <Lightwall> Hmm...
  59. <Passerby> Ended up bein' a guard at Kakriko, back when it twas a Fortress.
  60. <Lightwall> I think I've heard of those times.
  61. <Lightwall> I actually live in Kakariko.
  62. <Passerby> Ah, most people dan't want to talk o' them.
  63. <Lightwall> Yeah, I heard it wasn't so pleasant...
  64. <Passerby> Ah, really now? I'm a Lon Lon fella meself, though I think me spends more time at Lake Hylia's farm.
  65. <Lightwall> Hmm... I haven't been to Lake Hylia in ages. I'm not sure I ever saw the farm there...
  66. <Passerby> Oh, well... the farm is pretty recent. Maybe... a year or two at most?
  67. * Lightwall nods in acknowledgement.
  68. <Passerby> Ah, it seems we're aboot there.
  69. <Lightwall> Makes sense.
  70. * Lightwall looks up to look outside the caravan.
  71. <DM> *The gate ahead opens, allowing the caravan to pass through Lake Hylia's entrance. The guards wave to you all as you pass by.*
  72. * Lightwall waves back and smiles.
  73. <Lightwall> That reminds me...
  74. * Lightwall stops short, choosing his words carefully.
  75. <Passerby> Ah, these must be the nicest guards in all the land. Friendly folk, unlike Hyrule Castle's. I hear there's some issues goin' on up there, and Lord Eldin is pullin' up a firestorm. Ah well, I don't live up there..... don't intend to, not after two wars.
  76. * Lightwall nods in agreement.
  77. <Lightwall> ... I have ... met some of the Hyrule Castle guards, myself.
  78. <Passerby> Ahh, they're biiiig trouble, ain't they?
  79. <Passerby> 'ere we go...
  80. <Lightwall> As of late, yes.
  81. * Lightwall looks out.
  82. <DM> *The caravan pulls up next to several other caravans next to the laboratory and stops. The horses immediately start grazing on a patch of delicious grass, planted directly where the caravan is stopped.*
  83. <Passerby> Argh, this is why ah hates Hyrule Village. There's no care for the horses up there. They just let 'em starve up there.

  87. <DM> *You look around, and to one side is the lakeside laboratory. On the sides of it are various signs, like "I'm busy, throw your shoes elsehwere!" and other attention-detracting signs.*
  88. <DM> *To the west of you is the lake itself, brimming with light as the morning sun bounces off its surface. Some Zora are playing in the waters.*
  89. <Lightwall> A lot of others here, aren't there?
  90. <DM> *A little to the north are other farmers and villagers, tending to or visiting the farm.*
  91. * Lightwall notices the Zoras and watches them.
  92. <Passerby> Ah, yep. Some of us folks are thinkin' of buildin' a settlement here at Lake Hylia, and heck, the labrat is actually fine with it. Just so long as the noise level don't hit dern Hyrule Village level.
  93. <DM> *The man steps into the carriage and pokes the kid that's on the bench.*
  94. <Passerby> Hey, kid, wake up already ye sleepin' brat! Heh heh harr!
  95. * Passerby gets back out of the carriage, lifting the yawning sleepy-eyed kid and pulling him over one shoulder.
  96. * Passerby notices Lightwall watching the Zoras.
  97. * Spectator has quit (Quit: Leaving)
  98. <Passerby> Fascinatin' little creatures, eh?
  99. <Lightwall> Yeah. I can't remember meeting them before.
  100. <DM> *Actually, this old man is.... 5 feet tall. He's kind of little himself.*
  101. <Passerby> Oh? Whatcha mean by that?
  102. <Lightwall> ... I love how they get to spend all the time in the water. I love the water. ... But I don't visit here often enough to meet them.
  103. <DM> *As you speak those words, you hear a voice in your head, same one from before...*
  104. <DM> [Voice]: Find me... Moblin Forest... wayward shore...
  105. <Lightwall> O_O
  106. * Lightwall thinks.
  107. <DM> *The fourth wall stops speaking to you- *ruuuuuuuuuns*

  110. <Lightwall> By the way, ... is there such thing as a "Moblin Forest" around here?
  111. <Passerby> Moblin Forest? Ya mean that forest up on that cliff o'er there?
  112. * Lightwall looks to see where he's talking about.
  113. * Passerby points north. A little bit past the farm is the entrance to the Fishing Pond, and on the cliff above that is a treeline of a dark forest.
  114. <DM> *You notice the Fishing Pond has chains over the entrance. Probably not best to try and fish right now.*
  115. <Lightwall> Um, I guess so. ... Is there any way to get up there?
  116. <DM> *Though, I suppose you could go fishing for the nearby Zoras.*
  117. <Lightwall> (lol No thanks. I'm on a fish only diet!)
  118. <Fireblast124> ((I am on a see food diet))
  119. <DM> (what if the food is invisible)

  123. <Passerby> Yeah, after some folks went up there a year or so back, other adventurin' folk tried venturing up there, so we got the masons from Kakariko to build a stairway into the cliff face. See those indents to the side of the Fishin' Pond entrance? That's the staircase. It's a bit thin, but if yer really an adventurin' folk, it shan't bother ye.

  125. <Lightwall> Um, ... I ... was told to find the Moblin Forest. I'm supposed to meet someone there.
  126. <Passerby> Someone ta meet in Moblin Forest? Well, that's somethin'. Well, I wish ye luck. Twas nice meetin' ya, ehhh....... wot's yer name, young fella?

  128. <Passerby> That thar's a cool name ya got. Me name is-

  131. <DM> *Just then, the world has a lag spike as he attempts to say his name, which is still processing because it doesn't exist yet.*

  135. * Lightwall waves at Barly Jones and leaves the caravan.
  136. <DM> *You leave the caravan and head...... north to the stairway I'm guessing?*

  138. * Lightwall heads toward the stairway leading to the Moblin Forest.
  139. <DM> *You reach the bottom of the stairway. It's a bit thin, and you can see signs of the rocks beginning to chip away from it. It definitely can use some maintenance, or else the next dude that goes up the staircase might fall......... *cough Wind*

  141. * Lightwall glances back towards the Zoras for a moment, then carefully climbs the stairway.
  142. <DM> *You ascend the stairway, but you don't reach heaven. The stairway for that one is much more grand, mwahahahahahh!*

  144. <DM> *You reach the top of the stairway, and the darkness of the treeline ahead of you seems full of loneliness. Apparently, even those darkness is everywhere there isn't light, it's still lonely. I mean, come on, how much more god darn egotistical can you get?*
  145. * Lightwall heads into the forest.
  146. <DM> *You head into the forest, as the egotistical dark loneliness of itself wraps around you like a blanket of loneliness. Now you're in contradiction land.*
  147. * Lightwall wonders who this person, or armored Zora, could be...
  148. <Lightwall> (lol)

  153. <DM> *You manage to avoid making first contact with a nearby tree. Shortly after entering this forest, you can hear some grumbling and footsteps through the grass. It seems to be coming in your direction, though through this darkness, it's not exactly easy to see what's coming towards you.*
  154. * Lightwall wonders if it's a Moblin...
  155. * Lightwall chooses to be silent and continue onward.
  156. <DM> *Not gonna bother asking you to sneak past it, cause you'd win a sneaking war by default.*
  157. <DM> *You sneak past it, but there's a glimmer of light ahead. Do you walk into the light?*
  158. * Lightwall cautiously edges forward to the light.
  159. <DM> *You edge towards the light and you die. That's why you don't walk into the light- just kidding.*
  160. <DM> *You edge forward, and it seems to be pulsing at random times. As far as you can tell, it's just a bright light in the middle of the forest, shining brightly randomly as it hovers over the ground.*
  161. <DM> *It appears to be illuminating a nearby treasure chest though.*
  162. <Lightwall> (lol "If you're in a dark tunnel, STAY AWAY from the LIGHT!")
  163. <DM> *Just then, the rustling and grumbling that you passed by earlier is edging closer to you from behind.*
  164. * Lightwall walks toward the chest and attempts to open it.
  165. <DM> *The chest is locked. The nearby light begins to move away from you.*
  166. <DM> *Meanwhile, the rustling catches up to you as you fail to open the chest.*
  167. <DM> *WHO'S THAT POKEMON?*
  168. * Lightwall follows the light.

  170. <Lightwall> (lol)
  171. <DM> *IT'S....... back to following you.*
  172. <DM> *You follow the light, and no, this one doesn't instantly lead to your death. It appears to be heading towards a large, hollowed-out log.*
  173. * Lightwall thinks, "Great. What am I doing??? ... Well, if it's a monster, best to fight it in the light."
  174. * Lightwall follows the light to the log.
  175. * Lightwall readies his shield and grips the hilt of his sword.
  176. <DM> *You enter the log, continuing to follow the light. Inside the hollowed out log, you can hear a familiar tune bouncing around your head.......

  180. <DM> *On the other side of the log appears to be a little grove. And there's actually light within the grove, blasphemy!*
  181. <DM> *Behind you, you can hear some bumbling as something punches the log, hoping the song goes away. Nope, the song just got louder.*
  182. * Lightwall continues to follow the light into the grove.
  183. <DM> *Sunlight filters in from above, illuminating the grove. Forest fairies and other lights, similar to the one you were following, float around. You can hear the Lost Woods theme hear, played using ethereal and jubilant voices.*
  184. <DM> *Then, the Moblin that was stalking you from behind enters. The singing stops, and the spirits and fairies disappear behind various bushes.*
  185. * Lightwall whispers, "Whoah!"

  188. * Lightwall turns to face the Moblin.
  189. * Moblin sees Lightwall, then draws its spear.
