On Nov 3rd at night Ryan Hillegas Mike Halbach Scott Bloedorn Snuck onto Avery Lot and Found the Rav4 got in it with the spare key and compromised the evidence there were no plates on the car (Refer to interview and special thanks)

he accompanied them to the lot late at night ran the plate the guys gave him they know this because mike provides the plate number to colborn

Then him and lenk meet up and say let's get Steve Avery they believe he is the one on nov 4th they sneak in the back way through the quarry and plant the blood and clean and wipe the rav hence why no hair fibers are found or prints.

That in itself is reasonable doubt the prints hold the key to everything
