01[21:15] <BothersomeGM> You stand at the outskirts of Ivoryscape City, bordering the edge of the forest. As you look around, you can see the snowflakes, glistening in the moonlight, dancing about as they make their graceful descent upon the earth.
01[21:15] <BothersomeGM> Despite what you may have recently heard about travelers getting ambushed in the darker recesses of the forest, the forest clearing seems almost welcoming and inviting, the branches of snow frosted willows bowing down to herald your entries.
01[21:15] <BothersomeGM> Regardless of what your intentions for coming to the forest are, be they to find and befriend new Pokémon, pursue hidden treasures within the forest, or simply to meander about idly for the sake of enjoying one’s self, it seems there’s no better time than now to embark within, while the light is still on your side. After all, who knows just what may be lurking about in the darkness…

[21:17] <Sara> "..." A shiver ripples through the air as Sara holds her arms close to her chest, trying to stay warm. It was nice, having had so much time to relax...to do nothing. But that was all over now - she wanted something to do.

[21:19] <Ryuu> "Okay, it's time to get moving!" Ryuu said with crossed arms as he surveys the forest's border. By his side is Hataro, also crossing his arms in the same pose Ryuu took as the two then look around to see if they have company.
06[21:19] * Cera rubbed her hands together having her lab coat buttoned closely to help ward off the cold as she walked through the snow. She was here mainly to enjoy the lush beauty of the natural forest, and maybe find some nice things inside.
[21:19] <Grant> "Ah, the beauty of untouched nature! How art thou magical on thy purity! As mankind's evil never reached such a quiet grove, truly this must be a piece of the heavens that the Hivemind will deliver! So saith the Gospel of Unown!" Grant loudly says while strolling through the forest.

[21:22] <Cera> ( Cera won't be looking for anyone, but she's also free to bump into anyone too )
[21:22] <Grant> (Well, i said i was saying loudly, so someone might have heared me!)
[21:23] <Sara> Alongside the deaf psychic is a curious meowth, pawing at it's owner's coat while looking for shinies~
[21:24] <Ryuu> Hataro tugs on Ryuu's jacket, calling his attention as the Servine noticed that there is, in fact someone nearby. Ryuu also heard someone declaring something that sounded like it came from some heavy and obscure doctrine.
[21:25] <Grant> The tattoos on Grant's skin start to twist and move, as if the Unown grafted on his skin knew what sorts of things were going on.
[21:25] <Ryuu> "Hmm...? Looks like we have company here after all," Ryuu remarked and nodded to Hataro and then started to trace where the voice leads to. His Servine follows right beside him to check who else is out here in the woods.
[21:26] <Sara> <It really is nice to be out here...if only I knew what I was gonna d-oh damn...> And Sara picks Grant out of the background. The LAST person she wanted to see today. Fan-freaking-tastic.
06[21:26] * Cera was a little hesitant stopping for a moment as a loud ranting chant of a religious bent echoed throughout the forest. Someone was..... well someone sounded drunk. For the moment though she withdrew and released a pokeball. A graceful servine as she drew from her pocket a light baby blue ribbon tying it around his neck. She didn't want him confused for a wild out here
[21:27] <Cera> "Let's go explore Blossom" Cera spoke cheerfully, though the grass type did not look as pleased as it would. Snow was of course, not its favorite weather as she kept heading into the forest

01[21:29] <BothersomeGM> As you all begin your advances into the forest, you can hear the crunch of what was once virgin snow caving in beneath your feet. Looking down, you might see trails of small pawprints and the like heading inwards, some not much larger than your thumb were you to dip your finger to them.
[21:30] <Cera> Blossom quietly zipped and zagged lightly in the snow deeper into the forest as Cera followed, her own foodsteps loud and echoing as she trudged forward into the woods
[21:30] <Ryuu> "Anyone out here?" Ryuu called out as he and Hataro made his way to where he guessed the "high-and-mighty" sound, and then stopped when he noticed a visible trail of pawprints leading into the woods.
[21:31] <Sara> "..." Huh. Tracks. Well, Kemba shouldn't have any trouble figuring out where they lead...
[21:32] <Grant> "Ah, the blessing of wildlife! Isn't that truly glorious! I might find possible converts, even among the beasts of earth, for everything shall obey the Gospel of Unown one day!" Grant's voice suddenly lowers as he mutters to himself. "...And i might gain some edge against those damn heretics, even if Jamal said that they could be approached, the prospect of forced conversion sounds better
[21:32] <Grant> each day."
[21:32] <Ryuu> "Hmmm...? What sort of pokemon would leave tracks like this?" Ryuu remarked as he put a thumb by the print, with Hataro shaking his head and shrugging in response to his trainer's question. They clearly have no idea what creature would make these prints. "Might as well follow to where they lead and see what we can find."
[21:32] <Cera> Likely to Ryuu's amusement, or surprise, from around the bend to his left popped a Servine head with a baby blue bow about its neck. It snaked its head left and right looking him over before darting away and back from where it came.

[21:34] <Ryuu> "Eh...?" Ryuu paused and blinked when he spotted another Servine, this one with a bow tie around its neck, seemingly examining him. Hataro gave out a questioning sound as well, wondering why a fellow Servine is here.
[21:36] <Sara> <"um...hello"> Sara's mind reaches out to the two servine trainers, Kemba still behind the teenage brunette as she approaches the scene.
[21:36] <Cera> Blossom zipped back and pointed and gestured where she had noticed Ryuu and Hataro ~Vine, Vine, Servvvv~. Cera tilted her head listening before a voice intruded on her mind and she tilted her head trying to get a view
[21:38] <Grant> "I can hear sounds from the distance! Pokémon or humans, perhaps i can find fr-someone who needs to hear the good news!"
[21:38] <Ryuu> "Hmmm...? Greetings?" Ryuu replied, a little surprised as a mental voice rang in his head before looking to where he felt it coming from. Hataro went a few steps ahead to check where the other Servine headed off to check things out.
[21:39] <Sara> <"Sorry...I didn't mean to startle you"> Sara comes out into the clearing, her lavender coat and dark blue jeans making her noticeably easier to spot. <"I don't recognize either of you...are you new?">
[21:40] <Grant> "...Lady Sara?"
06[21:40] * Cera walks forward to Sara, as her and Blossom come into better view of Ryuu. "Oh. you must be the mind talker girl. I'm Cera, just came in the region a few weeks ago. And this little guy is Blossom" ~Viiiine~
06[21:40] * Grant walks into the clearing, on all his shirtless personage.
[21:41] <Ryuu> "Ah, it's all right. I did not expect that someone else is here," Ryuu replied as Hataro quickly came back before another person showed up, followed by a topless man to whom the voice Ryuu heard belonged to.

06[21:42] * Cera looked around as Blossom blitzed forward suddenly to stop suddenly infront of Ryuu's Servine. Blossom began snaking around it quickly as if taking it in ~Viiine, vine vine, seeerv~
06[21:42] * Sara shakes Cera's hand, and Grant just gets a rolled eye. <Can we both just agree to not talk to each other? Fot at least a day?>

[21:45] <Ryuu> "... I take it everyone else here have met before?" Ryuu asked as Hataro offers a handshake to the other Servine (as much as his hands can do), "I am Seitamashii Ryuu, by the way. I just arrived in the region a few weeks back."
[21:45] <Ryuu> (who to reply to first, so many people appearing at once :P)
[21:45] <Cera> "Not me! I'm Cera and pretty new here myself, wandered down from the north"
[21:45] <Sara> <"Sara Tosen. And Mr. Shirtless is no one of any real concern.">
[21:46] <Grant> "You could at least make sure i'm shut down from that last remark."
[21:48] <Ryuu> "Pleased to meet everyone then," Ryuu replied as he got up from checking the tracks he noticed earlier, "I take it wasn't just coincidence everyone have gathered here? I just noticed a set of paw prints that probably belonged to something that was in a hurry."
[21:48] <Cera> "Riiight, anyway it looks like this thing was in a hurry"
[21:48] <Cera> "Yup, Blossom was leading the way" Her Servine cheerfully shook Ryuu's Servine's hand before running back to Cera's side

[21:49] <Ryuu> (okay)
[21:50] <Grant> "Alas, both of you seem to be nice persons, so i must ask you, have you ever heard that the Unown are coming to usher peace and bliss to this world? And HOW you can make it happen sooner than possible?"
[21:50] <Sara> <And this is why he's not someone you need to concern yourself with.>

[21:51] <Grant> "My, how brutal. Tell me, have you grown more violent since brutalizing that beach hussy?"
[21:52] <Sara> <She had it coming, and don't you dare imply otherwise.>

[21:52] <Cera> "Mmmmm whats an unown look like?"
06[21:52] * Cera tilts her head seeming to honestly give Grant consideration
[21:52] <Ryuu> "..... I think I have not heard of something like that..." Ryuu replied with a light chuckle as he glanced to Hataro following the tracks once more before focusing his attention to his acquaintances, "But I'm guessing Shirtless-san has a name too?"
[21:54] <Grant> "Why, i never did!" As Grant says that, the tattoos on his body start to convulse, with four of them starting to... Get loose from his body, floating around. The strange runic creatures float around him, emitting unnatural sounds. "Those are but four of infinity. The Unown hivemind, a living consciousness of gods that will deliver us!"
[21:54] <Cera> "Oh... no, I'm sorry, those are WAY too icky looking for me to be into. You need a cuter god"
06[21:54] * Cera skips forward and with that summarily crushes Grants hope, because he has an 'icky' god.
[21:54] <Sara> (Wow. Shot DOWN!)
[21:55] <Grant> "How dare you! -They- are not supposed to be cute!"
[21:55] <Cera> "Well, how dare YOU confront me with a non-cute god."
[21:55] <Cera> "That's just gross. Seriously! Fix it!"

[21:55] <Sara> <I dunno, she may be on to something there...>
06[21:55] * Cera scoffs and walks up to stride beside Ryuu
06[21:56] * Sara falls in next to the older woman

06[21:56] * Grant grits his teeth before turning his back on Cera, Sara and Ryuu. "Suit yourselves then!" Bloody Heretics. They will pay. All of them.
06[21:56] * Cera makes a parting comment over her shoulder "I bet I could get like, a dozen more followers for a cult of happiny then for a writing god. Seriously. LETTERS!?"
[21:57] <Cera> "I could see unown being like, the words of god. But a god themselves? Nahhhh."
06[21:57] * Cera cheerfully hums, not seeming to have notice what a bitch she was to the poor little cult boy
[21:57] <Sara> <Frankly I don't think there's any pokemon that you'd need to deify. Most of the legendary ones don't need it.>
[21:57] <Ryuu> "Legends are interesting, but I think Unowns have quite eccentric features to be easily accepted by most people..." Ryuu said with a smile, having collected data with his his pokedex, which looked more like an arm-mounted device tucked underneath his jacket sleeve, "I'm guessing my cousin would be interested in studying them for whatever secrets they keep..."
[21:58] <Zuphyr> (Poor misunderstood Grant and Unown)
[21:58] <Cera> "Ughh my brother would rant and ramble and go onnn about them but seriously, who cares. We live in a world where great beasts fly through the sky spewing fire, dig through the earth, and explore the oceans depths. And he chooses to worship the alphabet"
[21:58] <Cera> (Thats a groin shot right there)
[21:58] <Ryuu> "... but I'll advice you to keep distance from my cousin if you do meet him..." Ryuu added as he pulled the sleeve down after gathering pokemon entries, resuming to follow the tracks. "He's not really the social type..."

[21:59] <Sara> <there's some of all kinds, I guess. Thing is, I'm pretty sure I know what we're dealing with...>
06[21:59] * Grant traverses through a couple of places before finding a suitable spot. The floating Unown around him start to spin and spin...

01[21:59] <BothersomeGM> ( Don't wanna accidentally drop it and cause an awkward cut in convo )
[21:59] <Ryuu> (go ahead)
[22:00] <Sara> (fire away cap'n)
[22:00] <Grant> (Bother, i'm going to do some unown summoning, okay?)

01[22:01] <BothersomeGM> As Cera, Ryuu and Sara follow the trail (and by effect, the footprints), they find themselves led to a small grove of bushes standing at about waist height, each of which, albeit bearing the all-too-common icy frosting distinctive of winter snowdrifts, still bear ripened berries, a testament to the shrubbery’s hardiness. Several Pokémon roam about within, having varying degrees of success in reaching the colorful, mostly rounded objects they aim to call dinner.
01[22:01] <BothersomeGM> The smallest, least successful of these Pokémon are a purple rabbit-like Pokémon, ears pointed up high like the horn atop its head (Nidoran M), and a brown, furry creature with darkened stripes atop its back that might make someone think of bacon (Swinub).
01[22:01] <BothersomeGM> A little bear, mostly white save its flushed blue face, sits atop one of the bushes, looking exceptionally adorable while munching on a berry despite its nose dripping with fluids (Cubchoo), while a brown, gopher-ish creature peers out of another bush, yellow and red eyes gazing warily at you all (Patrat).
01[22:01] <BothersomeGM> A light blue, fox-ish creature, fur coated in icy bristles, sits at the foot of yet another bush as it exhales a stream of wind, causing branches to drop and berries to fall as it claims them for its own (Glaceon). And an… Antelope-ish thingy, easily the tallest of all the Pokémon amongst this group at the height of a small child, has no trouble simply plucking the berries out of its own accord (Stantler).

[22:01] <Cera> (pokemon scans don't count for levels in Altho, right?)

[22:02] <Cera> "Hello!" Cera states with a cheerful smile as Blossom sniffs the air towards the wild pokemon. Cera seems in no hurry to ahem... 'bash their heads in' as most would do. Honestly, that sounds kinda boring to her

[22:03] <Cera> (Cera was beside ryuu, so his answer)
[22:03] <Sara> (pretty closely. Was expecting teddiursa)
[22:03] <Ryuu> (let's say we're on the trail? or beside the trail :P)
[22:03] <Cera> (I was expecting a deerling :3)
[22:04] <Maka> ( the only levels are the ones that Gar hands out. Trainer exp can be used to buy feats though IIRC )
[22:04] <Ryuu> "Hmm...." Ryuu paused in thought as he noted the presence of pokemon enjoying their meal, or at least trying to. He was considering a pokemon to add to his team, though these don't exactly fit to what he's looking for....
[22:05] <Cera> (how high up are the berries?)
[22:05] <Sara> Sara recalls Kemba and lets out Mistral, her trusty Sigilyph. Doesn't matter how high up they are, it'll be able to fetch them.
01[22:07] <BothersomeGM> From the bush that the Patrat was in, a faint twinkle gleams forth, before a burst of... Not so much light, rather than what may be described as a weird, blackened flame, shoots out from out the top of the bush. It's small and quiet enough that it doesn't get the attention of the other wild Pokemon, but the Patrat's eyes turn to the side, only to see another single eye floating right next to its own. This provokes the Patrat to jump out of the bush and flee into another one, and from it another Unown, this one looking like it has an odd handle sticking out of it, floats out. (It's the Unown V, in case my description sucked)
[22:07] <Ryuu> "... might as well pick one..." Ryuu added as he checked the pokemon present and figured a Cubchoo would help out his lineup. Hataro quickly took to move up to Ryuu's shoulder as he brings a Tirtouga out.
01[22:07] <BothersomeGM> The berries rest towards the upper ends of the bush, which only cap at about waist height (roughly 3 feet tall).
[22:08] <Cera> "Wait, we're fighting? But they're having lunch. Goodness, at least let them finish eating"
[22:08] <Grant> "They come to me... Truly, will you join my body... And soul? I pray for you, member of the hivemind, JOIN ME!"
06[22:08] * Cera walks over to grab a handful of berries and sits down by the glaceon, offering a few berries to it and Blossom as she sits down nibbling on one herself
01[22:08] <BothersomeGM> The footprints Ryuu and Cera were following seem to head further into the forest, past, but Sara's ended up at the feet of the Swinub, trying unsuccessfully to scale the side of the frost-coated bush.
06[22:08] * Cera shows as much concern for wild pokemon as a child with a loaded shotgun. probably not a good idea
[22:09] <Sara> "...?" yeah, that's not gonna work. A couple berries get knocked down and fed, though.
[22:10] <Ryuu> "Well, that is the plan..." Ryuu replied, scratching the back of his head as his Tirtouga let out what sounded like a brave cry... for a sea turtle, "I'm not really sure that I'll capture one just yet."
[22:10] <Cera> "Well i'm not opposed to a fight for practice, but might as well let them finish eating, y'know? Kinda rude to kick someone while they're just having a meal"
01[22:11] <BothersomeGM> The Unown, as if it really had much of a choice due to how loud Grant screams (regardless of whether or not it has ears), floats over to him idly.
[22:11] <Sara> <"I'd rather not fight if it isn't needed...the pokemon will like you more if you don't try to beat it up..."> Sara feeds the swinub more berries.
[22:12] <Cera> "Eh, i mean fight for practice. but yea, these aren't really the compative types unless need to. We should hunt an Ursaring or something for a brawl."
[22:12] <Ryuu> "True, true..." Ryuu added as he recalls his Tirtouga back to its pokeball. Hataro, on the other hand, continues forward, following a trail that seems to continue further into the woods.
01[22:12] <BothersomeGM> The berries, these ones a ... salmon color, perhaps, and heart shaped, get knocked down towards the Swinub, who ends up shoveling them down happily.
06[22:13] * Cera blinks seeing Ryuu run off. Cera cheerfully pets the apparently shellshocked Glaceon on the head dropping the rest of her berries before it as she brushes off the snow and follows after ryuu. Blossom nibbles on a berry before following after her. "Have a nice lunch guys!" she calls out behind her
[22:13] <Cera> (I'll brb, gotta swap pc's and such. back in 5 :) )
[22:13] <Grant> "Good, now come here, great one! Join us!" The other Unown surround the V one, eerily chanting.
[22:14] <Ryuu> (only Hataro went ahead, Ryuu is still with the others)
01[22:14] <BothersomeGM> The Glaceon had been eating berries already, but the ones it were eating seemed rock hard and completely frostbitten, are quickly scrapped for the purple berries that drop from the tree.

[22:15] <Cera> (oh well Cera follows Hataro then curiously. But only after Glaceon gets a good petting, and a few dozen more berries off the bush. Cera wants to make sure it eats well)

01[22:20] <BothersomeGM> The Swinub finds itself exceptionally well-content and fed after all of the berries Sara loads into it. It lets out an adorable little burp before it suddenly begins to sniff around the area.

01[22:29] <BothersomeGM> Hataro tries to explain what he saw the best he can... Which isn't particularly very good without words. It makes circle motions with its arms, and does that thingy where he waves 'em up and down in the air waggling his fingers about. (INT check to figure out just WHAT he's going on about.)
[22:29] <Grant> "Ah, it seems my lord will have to be convinced... The hard way. I am prohibited to hurt the hivemind, but... FIRST, reason with him!"

01[23:50] <@BothersomeGM> Venturing deeper into the forest, the sun's finally fallen and darkness has claimed the sky when you arrive at a small lake in the midst of the forest. the moonlight shining down as if to herald your arrival.  The waters can easily be seen as exceptionally frigid, large chunks of ice floating about within.
01[23:50] <@BothersomeGM> While many Pokémon seem content to just meander about idly, you can see a round, blue mouse floating in the river, another equally blue ball floating about on the tip of its tail (Marill). It’s bobbing up and down in the water. Meanwhile, a blue, armless Pokémon that looks like it has the prongs of a satellite receiver sticking out of its head can be seen near the edge of the lake, slapping what is now a frozen over mud pile with its tail. (Wooper).
01[23:50] <@BothersomeGM> Another exceptionally portly looking Pokémon, blue and light yellow with little stubs for feet (Munchlax) can be seen hanging out of the inside of a tree, sap squirting out of the sides onto what looks like a walking potted plant (Bonsly). A small, beige and brown deer Pokémon begins lapping away at what falls upon it (Deerling), much to the poor creature’s dismay.
