Melange is a goddess in a weird halfway state with the divine council. Shi is the personal goddess of transformation and is highly skilled in magic, hir powers of fertility far outstripping anyone else. Shi could easily be the main fertility goddess, but hir reckless personality and love of transformation and general chaos generally prevent hir from high up positions. So, rather than answer people's prayers or any of that junk, shi travels from town to town as a bard-like creature, morphing into new and exciting forms and leaving a wake of oversexed, transformative destruction in hir path. The divine council lets it slide, mainly because shi isn't exactly hurting anyone, purification magic cleans up spoo and milk easily, and hey, the townspeople always enjoy it.
