  1. Battle#3(finals)
  2.
  3. ~Trickster~
  4.
  5. The night was young and I couldn't seem to get asleep. Alex had warned me that if I didn't get any sleep before the battle, I would be in deep sh*t. The only problem was that it was 10:30 and I was supposed to be sleeping since 8 for our battle was a Midnight Madness Match. Alex had agreed to the terms since it was the league officials who came to him to tell him about the rules and such. Alex's snoring was really getting on my nerves, as it was one of the many things that kept me up. God did this guy ever heard of that spray for the throat cause Alex surely needed it!
  6.
  7. A loud grunt was heard from the bed as Alex rolled over and opened his eyes to the radio clock. He grunted at seeing the time and started to get up. His hair was messed up but he normally looked like this anyway. He walked ever so slowly to the bathroom and started a hot shower so that he could relax. I, on the other hand, had an idea that would give a jump to Alex's start. I walked into the bathroom undetected and prepared a Psychic attack. I started to turn the Cold water at the maximum and then stopped the hot water from running, making Alex scream as if he was having hypothermia. I jumped out of the shower, butt naked, as my jaw fell to the floor.
  8.
  9. I dashed out of the bathroom, blushing all over. I ran to the other side of the room but suddenly tripped over a long stick. I looked on what I tripped over from where I was and saw that the stick I had stepped over. Looking back, the object was my little friend Bahamut, and an idea came to mind, which could be summed up in two words: Practice Target. Sleeping like a log, I would have fun with this little pokemon. Preparing a Psychic attack once more, Bahamut was raised in the air and still didn't seem to budge from his sleeping state. I started to squeeze the little fellow to my liking and I could see him wince at the pain. With a grin on my face, Bahamut was launched across the room and hit the wall, which made him wake up from slumber land. Alex walked out of the bathroom with a huge, pissed off expression on his face. I was preparing a Zap Cannon to fire but Alex surprised me and I fired the Zap Cannon straight in my trainers face. I was in for it now. Alex cussed about how I was a pest and then returned me to my pokeball.
  10.
  11. Alex released me outside of the hotel and told me it was time for some exercise. We started to sprint for the stadium where the organiser said he would be waiting. It was easy though for me as I used my Quick attack to get away from Alex and make my way to the stadium first. I jumped with adrenaline around as I waited for my panting trainer. He seemed to have trouble to breath but then walked in with me. Alex opened the dressing room door and we both entered to see on the huge board that we were fighting a man named Jared and his Houndoom. Funny, that name sounded familiar, but it must have been my imagination who was playing tricks on me.
  12.
  13. I was sure that this place would have no fans to watch us yet that was not true. I entered the battlefield to see about 10 000 people in the stands; this place was filled to every crack. I had to show that I was the best dark type around and no second rated Houndoom could take my spot. I walked to the front of the Sphinx podium and waited for my opponent to show himself. Jared, my opponent's trainer, appeared from the darkness, yet from where he was standing on his podium, the light could not reach his face and upper body, so I couldn't see his face since it was shrouded in darkness. He grabbed a ball in his right hand, which seemed to be the size of an ox's arm, and threw the ball on the sandy stadium floor. My face grew in anticipation to see my opponent yet I was deceived at who I would fight. I couldn't believe that this Houndoom… Wait a second, what was that smell? It smells like a person I've met before and it's coming from the crowd. I looked yet saw nothing. I knew that smell yet I couldn't pin point who or where exactly it was. I then heard the referee saying that the battle was commencing as I took battle position. I had to get my revenge on this guy!

  17.
  18. This was no twist of fait as I knew exactly who my opponent was, but what shocked me the most was when Jared came out of the darkness and grinned at me. His tall yet slim figure wasn't menacing yet his tanned and dark skin was. His smile seemed as white as sugar but it was because of the dark figure he had which made his teeth shine more then usual. He seemed to have a deep, commanding voice as he told something to Houndoom. His 5 golden pokeball stood out as his uniform was pitch black with 2 blood red letters on his Armani Tux. Those letters were N and S and they were displayed in a diagonal manner. Boy did this bring back really painful memories.

  20. ~Flash Back~
  21. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  22.
  23. It was a great day in the Dragon Tamer's adoption agency as I was playing with my best friend, Squawk the Murkrow. We were playing around the small lake, which was built by Miss Lady Vulpix for her newborn Horsea. My mom, Sunny, an Espeon, had warned us not to hurt ourselves while playing along the lake's beach, but as a stubborn Eevee I was, I never cared for this.
  24.
  25. Squawk and me had just finished another race, which he had won undoubtedly, and we suddenly heard a loud cry for help in the distance. We raced to see that a man and his Houndoom were entering Adoption territory. This man was Jared and his Houndoom was my opponent for the battle. Jared ordered his trusted hellhound to Crunch every pokemon in sight, hoping he could catch a few for his personal collection. I glared and growled at my opponent yet he just flicked me away and went for other pokemon. My mom stepped into this and challenged this perpetrator to a battle, yet she was viciously beaten and bruised by her opponent. All it took was a single crunch and my mom was on death row. I screamed as I got up and raced for my mother, hoping that she was still alive. I looked at her as she looked at me for the very last time. She told me how much she cared and then went to that special place for pokemon after they passed away.
  26.
  27. I screamed at the heavens and cussed at hell for taking my mother to them. I then glared back at my opponent who was fleeing the scene, seeing that Indraugnir, Lady Vulpix, and Pidgeot were coming outside and preparing their pokemon for battle. I ran at the Houndoom, catching it by surprise and scratched all over him, leaving a small gash on the backside of the Hellhound. He yelped in pain, as he turned about and launched a Flamethrower attack at me, giving me 3rd degree burns on the right front paw, which is still visible on this day.
  28.
  29. Injured from the attack, I returned to get consolation from my friend, yet he was nowhere to be found. An Arcanine came up to me and told me that this man had captured him. I screamed once again as I now lost the 2 most important people in my life. I vowed to have revenge on that man and his Houndoom and I would get it!

  31. ~End Flash Back~
  32.
  33. I glared at my opponent intensely. I looked at every detail, from the cold blooded eyes to his huge body structure for a hellhound. This guy was built on every inch of his body, which meant that he was well trained; yet I supposed that his training was for the dark side, which his trainer must be in. We circled around in the middle of the arena as we gazed deep in each other's eyes. His were full of hatred and evil yet I should of expected a glare like that. We started to growl at each other maniacally and started to advance at each other at a rather slow pace.
  34.
  35. It was time to speed up the pace as I started to run around my opponent. The Quick Attack I was using seemed to be working my way since Houndoom was looking at me with an expression of confusion on his face. He swiped at me yet missed me by a mile as I was beginning to really piss him off.
  36.
  37. I suddenly stopped for a breather, as I knew Houndoom was too dazed and confused to do anything. Bad thing though, as Houndoom started to gather vile, purple, sticky ooze in his mouth, which he immediately launched at me. The trademark Toxic attack was hurling my way, which I easily dodged with a Quick attack. I looked at where it hit, and a huge burned out spot with some purple ooze, which covered the spot fumed from the cold air. I looked back at Houndoom to see he had launched another Toxic, which missed me by an inch. He fired tens of Toxic attacks, missing me by much yet all were dodged successfully. I looked at the battlefield, as it was covered with Toxic everywhere. I guess that was Houndoom's alternative plan, as I now had to watch every step I took.
  38.
  39. I might have been limited to my movement yet this just made me more and more angry at the Hellhound. I ran around the Toxic puddles and made my way to him with my jaw wide opened and saliva coming out of my mouth, as if I was about to bite a huge chocolate bar. I sank my teeth into the neck of my dark opponent as he yelped in pain and winced at it. I knew this was working well for a Bite as he tried to shake me off, proving ineffective. I laughed inside my head at this, as my opponent tried everything to get me off. I guess I had sympathy for the fellow yet remorse was another thing. My mind played with me to let him go yet my soul wanted me to go deeper into his neck. My answer came quickly though as I was sizzled from a Flamethrower off of him.
  40.
  41. I backed away from the insulting pokemon, and looked at him in the eyes. I could see pain yet hatred grew at every second. Opening his mouth, a fireball formed in his mouth and grew to the full size of his mouth. A Flamethrower was preparing once more as he reared his head, indicating that the attack had reached perfection. He launched the stream of fire at me but I was prepared as I deflected the attack with a Psychic attack. Houndoom though wasn't finished, as he fired a Fire Spin to conclude his Fire attacks. A cyclone of fire surrounded me as I was trapped in it and tried to escape it. Air was coming short to me, as I had to do something. An idea came to mind as I prepared my next attack. Screaming from the outburst of energy, I released a Psychic attack, which created a dome like attack, which made the fire die out around me and make the attack ineffective to me.
  42.
  43. Houndoom looked at me, glaring intently! A smile then crossed his face as he turned into a black blur among the darkness of the night! I knew he was using a faint Attack so I had to make post haste and catch up to my opponent. Pursuing him around the gym, we made our way to the stands, the statues and all over the place. I could follow him easily yet he was beginning to really get on my nerves. He suddenly stopped on the field and let out an ear-piercing roar at me. I tried to resist, yet my body was frozen stiff in fear as the Houndoom looked at me with a grin!
  44.
  45. My opponent glowed in a dark aura and howled at the full moon, which we were battling under. I could feel a small pain start in my head as I could feel myself levitate from the ground. Looking down, I could see that I was only a foot away from solid ground and my body glowed a dark aura, matching my opponent's colour. Pain filled my mind, and it started to grow bigger at every budge I made. My life came past my eyes, from the adoption centre, to when I first met my master, Alex, up to tonight, in this crucial battle. Pain rose in my head as I thought I was dying from a headache. This had to be the renowned Breaking attack I heard of. Only the purest of the dark element could perform this attack and I always longed for to perfect this attack. Only one thing stopped me from learning this attack and it was that I still hadn't mastered the art of Faint Attacking. The pain continued though, as I could no longer continue on. Suddenly, I was jerked down to the ground, as Houndoom had released me from my mental submission.
  46.
  47. Pain was still inside my head, yet the agony didn't stop me from thinking my next attack. Picking up sand in my paw, I looked at it with my eyes and concentrated deeply. I glowed an un-earthly dark and sand started to lift around me. I then launched my paw forward and released the sand that was inside in the direction of the hellhound. Houndoom wasn't expecting this kind of technique and was caught of guard. I mixed my Sand Attack with a Psychic attack to create a mixture of Sandstorm and Mud Slap, which I used on my opponent, to my advantage! He screamed in pain and looked even more frustrated at me when I finished my attack. His ears shot up as he listened for his next attack.
  48.
  49. "Crunch" was the only word I feared, and it had to happen in this match. Jared screamed the order at his pokemon and Houndoom's plastered a devilish grin on his face. Howling like crazy at the moon, light became dim in the stadium as it started to turn pitch black. This signature move of a Houndoom was a devastator to all pokemon. Even though I was a dark type myself, the pitch darkness was incredibly hard to see through. I could hear Houndoom howl once more and I could determine where his position was on the battlefield. I could hear swift movement now as Houndoom was trying to lose me with my confusion. I then turned around to be met by the canine teeth of my opponent, which latched onto my body, causing more pain. I screamed in terror as he continued to shake me like a rag doll. I was then sent flying to the ground as I could feel that my power was fading slowly away from my body. I didn't know how much more i could take from this onslaught.
  50.
  51. From where I was on the ground, I could see that Houndoom was preparing yet another attack, destined to hit me. His next attack would be a devastator though as he prepared a Solar Beam attack. This was no normal Solar Beam though as instead of being the yellowish green it used to be, it was a dark purplish green, which had got to be affected by the moonlight instead of the sunlight. The so-called "Moon Beam" was preparing in my opponents mouth as it grew to a considerable size. I could feel the time neared as the attack had grown to the size of a Baseball. The beam of moonlight energy was sent in my direction, as I knew I wouldn't last through the attack. It hit me like a freight train would hit a parked car. I was taken by the attack and yet I could feel that I still had some power left in my body.
  52.
  53. I got slowly up to see that Houndoom was licking itself. He seemed to be taking his sweet time though as he knew I wasn't in battle status at the moment. That's where i proved him wrong as I advanced him with a quick attack and gashed him once more on the backside. He yelped in pain and backhanded me away from him. That ‘s when I made one of my biggest mistakes. Houndoom howled at the night's air as he prepared a Hyper Beam attack. The golden orange ball formed in the pit of his mouth as he looked at me with one of his evil grins. I knew I was in for it and that this was going to finish me off. The ball grew to an immense size as it neared perfection to my knowledge. Houndoom jerked his head backwards and launched the attack head on in my direction. I had no time to dodge the attack for I was low on energy and the beam came in an alarming speed. I was hit dead on as I was launched into my trainers podium, hitting my back against it. I felt my body go num for a second but then I heard something.
  54.
  55. A howl through the night came from the stands and I knew this wasn't Houndoom's howl but another dog pokemon's howl. It then hit me. That odour I smelt at the beginning of the battle was also the pokemon who was howling for encouragement for me. It was non other then Arcanine. Scott's Arcanine was in between the stands, enough for me to see him and look at me with a worried state. It's true that I looked like a pile of dirt but he encouraged me to continue on, even with my low health at the moment!
  56.
  57. I shot back up, and limped a little closer to my opponent. Sparks were flying of my fur as my rage built at every second. I wanted to win this but this was only a small part of the battle as both love and revenge drove me up and made me walk. Getting closer, I could feel that the time was right to fire my next attack. Positive and negative ions charged up in my body and started to gather around my cranium. I could feel that the electricity build up had reached it maximum in my body and it was time for me to release my attack. Letting go of the electricity relieved me and pained my opponent. I could hear him holler as he was sent back into his own puddle of Toxic ooze. I raced at my twitching opponent and started to rub his face in the pile of vile toxic. I could see that it was entering his mouth and going down his throat as I was now in command.
  58.
  59.
  60. I backed off of my opponent and looked around to see what I could use to finish this battle. Then I saw in the stands the perfect thing for revenge. I used my Psychic powers to control the Sphinx statue all the way to the field. It ripped from its original position and hovered over the fans and made it’s way over the battlefield. I made it come over the hellhound and made sure I was over him. His feeble body gave me no regrets of what I was about to do. I let go of my Psychic hold on the statue and let it plummet onto my opponent who yelped for the last time. I laughed psychotically at my fallen opponent, as the ref announced his defeat.
  61. --------------------------------------------
  62. I am Victorious in my final battle!
  63. I have gained extra levels = 26
  64. --------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. I walked proudly to my trainer as I had won yet another battle. I then suddenly heard a squawk from behind and looked around. To my surprise, Squawk, my old friend was there. He looked up and I was shocked. He didn’t have those playful eyes anymore. All he had were eyes full of hatred and fear. He returned to his trainer and told him that his pokemon was still alive. Tears came to my eyes for 2 things: 1 was because the forces of evil had seduced my old friend and 2 was that my opponent was still alive.
  67.
  68. Jared walked up to Alex and shook hands with him, congratulating him on his victory. He commented on my battle skills and asked him if we would join his organisation. Alex didn’t seem to optimistic and neither was I and we declined. Jared suddenly disappeared in the darkness and Alex found a card with 2 bloody red letters on them. The trademark N and S!
  69.
  70. Shocked from all of this, Alex and me returned to the dressing room and waited for the oncoming results of our battle and our score from the head personnel of the competition, Umbreon1387!
