True Any% FAQ

											GOLDEN SUN THE LOST AGE - True Any%

		What are we doing?

Beating The Lost Age as fast as possible.

		Why "True" Any%?

Usually we are playing the game without using a password. True Any% permits any password (and things get very silly as a result). There are no Save/Quit restrictions so manipulation will allow us to go extremely fast.

		What is the plan?

Manip to get to Isaac from Gabomba as fast as possible. Win.

		How is a password abused?

We use a Gold Pasword. Isaac comes with ridiculous stats and most key Psynergy to beat the game (e.g. Burst, Lift, Grind ...). He also comes with equipment to reach 100% unleash rate so that we can spam megiddo and win.

		Why is Felix named "!"?

Felix's name determines three puzzles in the game (Gabomba, Gaia Rock, Trial Road). Normally we use y~~~~ or v|wow to manipulate these to be fast. However in this category the only puzzle we encounter is Gabomba so we only need to optimize for that, and ! is one name that does this. By naming Felix ! we save about 20 frames in the intro compared to y~~~~ (we save 4 frames each time Felix's name is mentioned).

		Why are there two Isaacs?

Early Isaac turns on the flag saying that we have Ivan. When you shuffle the party order the game is actually removing all party members and then re-adding them in a new order. Since Ivan's flag is turned on, and we have Isaac in party, the game expects to generate 6 characters even though we only have 5. Hence character duplication.

		Will there be Doom Dragon Skip?

		Why doesn't the Gold Password count towards the timer?

Runner enjoyment. It helps prevent this category from becoming Enter-Gold-Password% which isn't very fun.
