Kong Race

In the distant lands of Wuxia, in the deep jungle lives an ancient village of 'Ape-men' known as the Kongs. The live as higher beings in the jungle, worshipped by the other apes. Thousands of years ago man practiced martial arts from the movements of leaping apes, hundreds of years later they found the Kong, master's of martial arts in their own aspect. Very similar to their human cousins, though leaner, hair covers their bodies, from a distance they could be mistaken for men but these creatures are far different.

Ability Score increase: +2 Dex. +1 ability of your choice.
Age: The kongs age at a similar rate to humans until adult hood, natural born fighters they do not deteriorate as humans do in later years, only showing grey fur when close to their deathbeds. They usually live til age 110.
Size: Kongs height vary though they usually are slim and muscular, normally they stand between 5 to over 6 feet tall. Regardless their position in that range, your size is medium.
Speed: Monkey Paws - Swift in the trees and on land, your movement speed is 35 feet your climbing speed is also 35 feet.
Martial Ancestry: You are proficient with Martial Melee weapons
Language: You can speak,read and write Common and Kong. Kong is a typically simple language created through grunts, howls, actions and gestures.

Ape of the Rising Sun: It is said that every few generations the ki of the past Sage is possessed by a new Soul. This soul is granted great beneficial powers. Once level 15 is reached a kong can trigger the 'Golden Sun' Ability, their fur becomes a bright golden colour, their eyes fill with jade ki. All stats are temporarily increased by +3, this lasts for 5 minutes, until the Kong decides to deactivate the power or if they are knocked unconscious.
