  1. Okay, We need to talk.
  2.
  3. I know you don't know me and I've no idea who I'm talking to right now.
  4.
  5. Anonymous as it should be.
  6.
  7.
  8. Sadly, a lot of new people ('newfags' < if you take this offensive, stop that from now on) don't seem to know how this works.
  9.
  10. I don't want you to be(come) one of them, so I'll teach you a few things.
  11.
  12.
  13. This might get long, and maybe difficult & not fun, but if you ain't willing to change the way you act/think, well.., You can stop reading right about now and I'll see you in court. On Tv...
  14.
  15. #############################################################################
  16.
  17. Still here?
  18.
  19. Good.
  20.
  21. I knew you wouldn't be so stupid to just leave.
  22.
  23.
  24. Right.
  25.
  26. First things first.
  27.
  28.
  29. This will be a two part system on making you 'anonymous' with minor tech related issues.
  30.
  31. Why?
  32.
  33. Because most of it can be done in the mind.
  34.
  35.
  36. Part one will be about 'dedox', the second on the actual mind changing bit.
  37.
  38. You do need to follow both actions for this to have any effect.
  39.
  40. #############################################################################
  41.
  42. Dedox.
  43.
  44. This is the easy part.
  45.
  46. You might be wondering, 'Hurr, dedox? You mean detox..?'
  47.
  48. You're partially right.
  49. and yet you ain't
  50.
  51. Let me explain.
  52.
  53. In this online world, personal details are called 'd0x' which is basically some lame 1337-term for documents.. (don't ask..)
  54.
  55. Now I expect that you already know what detox means.
  56. If you don't know, start Google (you'll need it later on anyway)
  57.
  58. Right, I think you roughly know what detox means now. (If you still don't, it's some way to get all the bad stuff out of your body)
  59.
  60.
  61. Now combine detox with d0x..
  62. Good, I see you sort of understand where I'm going to.
  63.
  64. Now go to Google.
  65. What I want you to do, is to search someone.
  66. ..
  67. Search yourself.
  68. This sounds odd I know but trust me, you'll learn from this.
  69.
  70. What I want you to search are the following things:
  71.
  72. Everything
  73. Related
  74. to
  75. yourself.
  76.
  77. (Previous/old) usernames, emails, your own name, the place where you live, your phone number, your mobile number, any other thing that relates to you.
  78.
  79. I can make a long story out of this, but I won't because a lot of it is on > http://school0fanon.tumblr.com/post/27490137702/anonymous-d0x-yourself-publicly-now-all-of-you < already.
  80.
  81. Don't do it publicly though, as the title suggests.
  82.
  83. Just keep this to yourself.
  84. Hint: both search like *name* and *"name"* (remove stars)
  85. And watch out with sites you don't trust.
  86.
  87. Okay now you know what's on the internet because of you and about you (Rule #2, If you don't put something online, your friends love to do it for you, bastards..)
  88.
  89. As the article says, change/delete anything you find which you don't actually need.
  90.
  91. Old forum accounts with some personal details are a true treasure to d0xers (and the other, less nice kind of people, the ones with the badges)
  92.
  93. Take a piece of paper and write down EVERYTHING you find.
  94. You'll needs this later on.
  95.
  96. Once you've noted everything, try to delete/remove/change everything you don't need.
  97.
  98. Unsubscribe from mailing-lists, change password & email into something useless if possible. Remove ANY personal data. including possible posts.
  99.
  100. Okay once you changed what's possible (remember, you can always mail the admins of sites to request the deletion of accounts) you're pretty much done for this part.
  101.
  102. Just be really, really sure.
  103. Doing it again won't be too bad.
  104.
  105. Now that this is set, it might be useful to start to check programs on updates.
  106.
  107. (Hackers abuse soft-/hardware that ain't updated)
  108.
  109. My personal advice would be the Secunia PSI, but you can do it manually too (takes a lot of time though + the PSI is free, so why not?)
  110.
  111. You'll probably see some stuff that you wouldn't have expected.
  112. Doesn't matter, some *ware just doesn't tell you when it's updated..
  113. Try to update as much as possible.
  114. (Remember, every detail counts and hackers really do try ANYTHING to hack you)
  115.
  116. I would also advice you to check for viruses and all that while you're at it.
  117. Note: if you've already downloaded 'hacker tools' secure these now or expect to download/install them again..
  118.
  119. What I would recommend is to do a scan with HitmanPro first (after all, it's free) and do a second scan with the Sophos VRT (Virus removal tool) afterwards.
  120.
  121. You should be up-to-date, safe and secure now.
  122.
  123. Ready to go the the next part? Because this was only the easy part...
  124.
  125. #############################################################################
  126.
  127. "The mind thing"
  128.
  129. This is basically the hardest part, yet the one that makes the most sense.
  130.
  131. Your online you won't be you.
  132. Keep this in mind.
  133. As an Anon, you won't be yourself.
  134.
  135. This doesn't mean you can't state the things you think.
  136. It means that you won't be you, to the rest of the world.
  137.
  138. Remember that info you wrote down about yourself earlier on?
  139. You can't use or link to ANY of that.
  140.
  141. Lol no really, you can't.
  142.
  143. All these things track back to you.
  144. Online & offline.
  145.
  146. And once things are linked, you're screwed..
  147.
  148. First read

  151. http://www.cyberguerrilla.org/?p=3322&page=3
  152.
  153. if you don't know how to work with TOR yet.
  154.
  155. Start TOR.
  156.
  157. Now let's start with a new email.
  158. Yes, new.
  159.
  160. You can pick basically any email client you want, but you can also go for the more secure & anonymous ones like hushmail.
  161.
  162. Setup for a rather secure & anonymous email:
  163.
  164. Create it like this "username@mail.domain"
  165.
  166. Remember, this can't be one you already made once.
  167. This includes with the username, and make sure it doesn't links to anything on the paper. (if in doubt, check it, search it, research)
  168.
  169.
  170. Make sure the password ain't related to anything either.
  171. if you can't think of anything, take the closest book.
  172. pick 4 random pages and use the first 3-4 characters of every 20th word on the page.
  173.
  174. (It might be useful to note this down somewhere secure.)
  175.
  176.
  177. Use the same method for the 'secret answer' , but a different outcome.
  178.
  179. Basically, make yourself some sort of weird cryptic thing that only YOU know.
  180.
  181. So I prefer it if you don't use the above method, but if you have at least 40 books with a lot of pages, it's worth a shot..
  182.
  183. You don't need to use books, just find your own special 'secret code'
  184.
  185. Now that you've got a email ( don't fill in any personal details please..)
  186. you can continue with the rest.
  187.
  188. Just remember this;
  189.
  190. Always keep it on 1 email an account.
  191. Always use your method for passwords and secret/safety questions.
  192. Always use/register Anon related things with TOR.
  193.
  194. #############################################################################
  195.
  196. Now the hardest thing for most people is the final step.
  197.
  198. Not being you.
  199.
  200. This is basically really simple, but people tend to forget it and f*ck up, get jailed etc.
  201.
  202. Don't share pictures online with metadata/exifdate still in them.
  203. (If you don't know what this is or how to remove it, search it with google on TOR)
  204. Don't share geolocations with tweets.
  205. Don't use real names of people.
  206. Don't share personal details to anyone.
  207. Don't speak to people you know in real life.
  208. Avoid links.
  209. Always keep the above in mind.
  210.
  211. #############################################################################
  212.
  213. Just be anonymous from now on, because if you use this (in combination with the rest of the www.cyberguerrilla.org guide) and you still get caught then well.
  214.
  215. See you in court. On Tv..
  216. ..
  217. ..
  218. ..
  219. And maybe on the day we get you out.
  220.
  221.
