Q: Will you incorporate Yang’s loss of arm into her character, Barb?
A: I have tried, but it’s really challenging since Yang is so energetic.



Q: In V3 commentary, maidens were brought in halfway, how did that change things?
A: They impacted the plot to a degree, but everything that happened to Pyrrha would’ve happened anyway. Not necessarily in V3, but Beacon was going to fall and Pyrrha was going to die then.
They really like how V3 ended up, and how Maidens gave meaning [not exact wording, but close enough] to Pyrrha. Cinder’s surname was though around V1, and it might’ve been one of the kernels which grew into the Maiden plot.


Q: How do you plan on handling the scope of the next season? Last Airbender style with jumpy locations or not?
A: Who knows, we are in the middle of writing it. It’s going to be vary from character to character, some are on the road. For the first time since E1, the main girls are separate, and each has their own journey ahead of them. It’s hard to ensure that everyone gets enough attention with four separate storylienes. Different episodes will have different foci.


Q: would you consider adapting RWBY to comic form? Essentially WoR on paper.
A: The answer to ”would we like to spread RWBY” is usually always yes. Everything has its own technical problems, though.


Q: Emblems: why is everyone’s emblem so different? Is it a family thing?
A: It differs. Weiss’ is a family thing, and maybe Ruby doodled hers when she was bored in math class. It’s about self-expression, just like the color names. Figuring out what you want to be, and putting that on display.


Q: We’re going to see more of the world. Are there aquatic Grimm?
A: Watch V4.


Q: Monty said on the character creation sheet that he might hold a contest to put a character into RWBY. Is that going to be a thing?
A: We sorta did that with NDGO. It’s a thing that has been brought up before.


Q: Whose idea was Salem?
A: Monty’s, before volume 1. 9th character to be designed or so? It’s not a coincidence that a big name like Jen voiced her.


Q: Which member of JNPR is the most likely to die next?
A: Oh god. Jaune’s innocence.


Q: Are we going to see weapons evolve along with the characters?
A: Watch the show. Definitely something we want to explore


Q: When is the exclusive video coming out_
A: TBA, next couple of mooooooooo[nth]....? Before V4.
