 The Guerilla Open Tube project is very unique. It is a distributed,
censorship-resistant cache of YouTube videos in which participants
of the project seed their downloaded Youtube videos, providing magnets
within the Guerilla Open Tube repository. The more participants join,
the more seeding, the bigger the repository of cached magnets. The
bigger the repository, the more Youtube videos users can bit-torrent!

 SC-Downloader (Soundcloud Downloader) is a simple, small
add-on for Mozilla Firefox that will allow you to download
soundcloud audio files without having to hack deep into the
embedded servers (which would be a pain in the ass to do).
This is the best soundcloud ripper add-on I could find, and
many others don't even work anymore. When you click to download
an audio track from soundcloud there will be a few pop-ups so
just close them and right-click where it gives you a link and
save the mp3 to you're harddrive. Not bad.

 Random Agent Spoofer Mozilla Firefox add-on rotates browser profiles
(from real browsers / devices) at a user defined time interval. It
includes many other privacy features. WARNING: I have no idea how this
will effect cache bleaching software that is programmed to wipe specific
browser history - if you specify CCleaner or Bleach Bit to bleach out cache
using a specific Browser ID (ID named within the browser's directory) this
add-on could conflict with that kind of software, so heads up on that.

 The InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is a new peer-to-peer hypermedia
distribution protocol, addressed by content and identities. IPFS enables
the creation of completely distributed applications. It aims to make the
web faster, safer, and more open. IPFS is similar to the Web, but IPFS
could be seen as a single BitTorrent swarm, exchanging objects within
one Git repository. In other words, IPFS provides a high throughput
content-addressed block storage model, with content-addressed hyperlinks.
Users are able to store, share and even open files between remote computers

 TorChat is a decentralized peer-to-peer instant messenger built
on top of Tor's location hidden services. There is also a plugin
for the Pidgin client as well. TorChat clients communicate with
each other by using Tor to contact the other's hidden service
and exchanging status information, chat messages and other data
over the onion-routed connection.

 The Beta version of the P2P Maelstrom Browser has been released
to the public. Similar to ZeroNet, MeowBit and MAIDSAFE [(all of
those also available in the additional CRS archive)] the Maelstrom
Browser focuses on peer-to-peer and bittorrent protocols to share
and deliver new website content so that no government would be able
to shut down a website if one or more nodes are seeding the content.
If this project gains enough recognition and publicity, censorship
could become a thing of the past. I hope to see The Pirate Bay crowd
flocking to this soon.

 Adium is a free and open source instant messaging client for OS X
that supports multiple IM networks, including Windows Live Messenger,
Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, AIM, ICQ and XMPP. Adium features OTR
(off-the-record) encryption. I also threw in the "Plain Text plug-in"
for those who fancy an old-school text messaging interface. (A reminder:
OTR encryption will not guarantee true security, you should also use
long passwords and use fail-safe tactics such as forward secrecy if
you desire to ensure communications remain truly private. Loose lips
sink ships, still true today no matter what kind of encyption used).

 The Bitcoin Messaging System is a proof-of-concept of a pseudonymous
and decentralized messaging system based on the virtual currency Bitcoin.
Messages are embedded into regular Bitcoin transactions, distributed over
Bitcoin's underlying P2P network and stored in the transaction ledger,
the blockchain. The messaging system’s binding to the blockchain ledger
transaction system would make government blocking impossible without also
blocking Bitcoin itself – which would be rather difficult to pull off due to
the fact of it being so decentralized and used on a global scale, and now
also used by international corporations making it even more unlikely to be
censored or attacked by any government (although, you can't rule out sheer
stupidity which most governments fall very vulnerable to when desperate).

 In March 2015, Greatfire services on Github were under heavy DDOS
attacks originating from China. Greatfire is used by many people in
China to bypass the Chinese firewall and access forbidden websites.
Github has recently mitigated this threat and Greatfire is now available
to the public again. I have decided to mirror these services to the CRS

Circumventor added to CRS archives KILLCEN  04/15/15 (Wed) 14:35:54

 The Circumventor is an old program, no doubt, it only works with
Windows 2000 and XP. However, I decided to add this to the Censorship
Resistant Archives regardless it being out-of-date. This program may
be a bit of a hastle to use, it works like this: if you are at work,
on a work computer and there are restrictions to what you can access,
you can install this program on a seperate computer (not censored)
which will create a remote proxy connection for you to access using
you're work computer next time you're on it. This way, you can bypass web
restrictions through the other computer that you installed Circumventor.

 IPFlood (aka IPFuck) is a firefox addon created to simulate the use of a proxy.
With this addon installed and enabled, and if a lot of us use it, there will no
longer be any way to know who is using a real IP. When sending a request to a
server you will provide several information about your IP address: three of them
come from the Application Layer and the last one comes from the Transport Layer.
The three Application Layer headers were created to provide information on the
real IP of a person surfing through a proxy server. When you enable IPFuck, those
three Application Layer headers are spoofed. The websites you are visiting will
believe that your real IP is a proxy server. If enough people use this XPI, this
can create a complicated problem for third parties and government snoops.

The Gostcrypt project has been launched at the end of 2013 as fork of the

 Tribler makes BitTorrent anonymous and impossible to shut down.
It includes options for onion routing, just like Tor, and does
not rely on any central server making it a decentralized P2P client
as well, a DHT/PEX torrent client. Users can search for files from
within the application, which finds torrents through other peers.
Tribler may become an alternative way to download information in
the near future considering fascists are trying to censor the web.
