Targos and his phobia of contact.

Firstly, it's not a phobia. Well, not to a certain extent. It's a holdover from when he was still in his tribe. When it comes to personal space there is a certain distance one must be at, or "Arm lengths" Three arm lengths and beyond is for strangers and enemies. Two arm lengths is reserved for a friend or a comrade. One arm length is for a trusted retainer or bodyguard/friend. Within arms reach is for those considered a lover or family, as it is extremely close and quite personal. When first coming to the TP it was quite the culture shock, even back on his Home Planet of Vegeta, while not part of the tribe the "Arm length" rule was still respected by most people, as those who invaded it were mostly looking for fights.

Another reason why stopwatch makes him feel uncomfortable, not only for her lack of intelligence, but also for her invasion of his personal space. Even now after a decade of being in the TP his muscles still tense whenever she gets to close or touches him, an ingrained reflex he cannot shake, or seem to want to.
