  1. Kitsune
  2. Nine-Tailed Fox
  3. Kitsune are fox-like humanoid creatures with nine tails. many enjoy illusion and trickery, however, are easily insulted when one pre-judges them all that way. In fact, Kitsune hate being called tricksters and con-artists, while preferring to be called illusionists, sages, and puzzle-solvers. As with other races, there are a wide variety of personalities that Kitsune fulfill. Males will often carry with them masks of magical power — these can be worn to form the guise of another. Kitsune are very sexually dimorphic; that is, male Kitsune are different in both appearance and behavior than female Kitsune are. Males are covered in fur, have digitigrade legs, and their face forms a snout of sorts. The vast majority of males follow a special form of Bushido-like conduct known as Kitsarae, or “life-hunt”. Female Kitsune are more of pranks and illusions than males, and are more human-like in appearance, aside from having ears and nine tails. There are Fox-like female Kitsune, but they are often shunned by their fellow Kitsune and exiled. Females also tend to be very beautiful and seductive, especially to other races, and will use their looks to lure in enemies for an easy kill.
  4. “Kitsune believe in personal duty to one's clan and to one's self. Though proud, they are not vain and try not to show off their reputation too much. Kitsune believe in humility and in dignity, and it is everyone’s duty to remind each other of those values through trickery and humiliation. If a kitsune becomes too proud or haughty he will often find himself being bombarded with a variety of jokes, pranks, illusions and other things that would embarass him. Kitsune learn to let their actions speak for themselves and enjoy a good puzzle or riddle to exercise their wits. They value those who can confuse their enemies with verbal trickery and confusing conundrums. Ironically as much as kitsune deceive and trick they try to be logical and real with themselves. If they see someone who is more skilled than they, they will admit it. If a fight goes awry they will not hesitate to run if their abilities are not up to par. Though easy going they do not take mortal insults or infringements lightly, especially to family members, and will demand compensation for the misdeed or start seeking out revenge themselves.”
