  1. (Originally written Oct. 26 2014, this is just a little something I typed from my phone while watching the sun set)
  2.
  3. >You stare out into the splendid horizon, watching colors blend beautifully in the evening sky
  4. >Blue meets orange harmoniously as the sun casts off the last of its daily radiance
  5. "Wow. Even better than the sunset last Sunday."
  6. >You turn to your princess and give a warm smile
  7. >She smiles back, not visibly strained by the task of lowering the sun for the day
  8. >"Indeed it is. I'm glad to have you here watching them with me, Anonymous."
  9. "My pleasure."
  10. >As the sun begins to fall beneath the horizon, she rests her head on your shoulder
  11. >"Say... what goes through your mind when you stare off into the sunset?"
  12. "The fact that if I go blind someday, I'll have a great reason."
  13. >She laughs while supporting herself against you, but soon stops to remain concentrated on finishing her duty
  14. >"Clever," she says while wiping a tear from her eye
  15. "What do you think about?"
  16. >"Exactly what I'm doing, including its significance to my dear subjects. What I do for them at least once a day helps them maintain so much during their lives... it's more than enough to pay some thought. I actually have a lot of that to spare while I do the deed."
  17. "I see."
  18. >"It doesn't require nearly as much concentration for me as it used to, which leaves me almost abundantly free to think over... lots of things, really."
  19. >She wraps you in one of her wings and sighs contentedly as she finishes her chore
  20.
  21.
  22. >"I have to admit though, I do think about you too. You are still intriguing to me, I'm not sure I'll ever grow out of my fascination."
  23. "I don't mind that."
  24. >She rests her head against yours and smiles
  25. >"Then I suppose that makes two of us."
  26. >She yawns, clearly spent from lowering the sun
  27. >Must've taken more out of her than you were lead to believe
  28. "Should we get to bed?"
  29. >She looks into your eyes as hers glimmer in the recently added moonlight
  30. >"Let's stay out for a while."
  31. >She looks up, compelling you to do the same
  32. >The night sky looked astounding
  33. >It was no wonder you'd catch her sitting on her bedroom balcony at night oftentimes
  34. >You redirect your line of sight with Celest-
  35. >She's gone...?
  36. >You turn to see her walking quietly back to her castle
  37. "... Princess?"
  38. >"Oh, I'm just claiming 'dibs' on the remote. Feel free to join me inside when you finish your stargazing."
  39. >She giggles to herself as you stand there embarrassed
  40. >Outsmarted again, with no complaints
  41. >You roll your eyes with a daft smirk
  42. "Coming my dear."
