- (Originally written Oct. 26 2014, this is just a little something I typed from my phone while watching the sun set)
- >You stare out into the splendid horizon, watching colors blend beautifully in the evening sky
- >Blue meets orange harmoniously as the sun casts off the last of its daily radiance
- "Wow. Even better than the sunset last Sunday."
- >You turn to your princess and give a warm smile
- >She smiles back, not visibly strained by the task of lowering the sun for the day
- >"Indeed it is. I'm glad to have you here watching them with me, Anonymous."
- "My pleasure."
- >As the sun begins to fall beneath the horizon, she rests her head on your shoulder
- >"Say... what goes through your mind when you stare off into the sunset?"
- "The fact that if I go blind someday, I'll have a great reason."
- >She laughs while supporting herself against you, but soon stops to remain concentrated on finishing her duty
- >"Clever," she says while wiping a tear from her eye
- "What do you think about?"
- >"Exactly what I'm doing, including its significance to my dear subjects. What I do for them at least once a day helps them maintain so much during their lives... it's more than enough to pay some thought. I actually have a lot of that to spare while I do the deed."
- "I see."
- >"It doesn't require nearly as much concentration for me as it used to, which leaves me almost abundantly free to think over... lots of things, really."
- >She wraps you in one of her wings and sighs contentedly as she finishes her chore
- >"I have to admit though, I do think about you too. You are still intriguing to me, I'm not sure I'll ever grow out of my fascination."
- "I don't mind that."
- >She rests her head against yours and smiles
- >"Then I suppose that makes two of us."
- >She yawns, clearly spent from lowering the sun
- >Must've taken more out of her than you were lead to believe
- "Should we get to bed?"
- >She looks into your eyes as hers glimmer in the recently added moonlight
- >"Let's stay out for a while."
- >She looks up, compelling you to do the same
- >The night sky looked astounding
- >It was no wonder you'd catch her sitting on her bedroom balcony at night oftentimes
- >You redirect your line of sight with Celest-
- >She's gone...?
- >You turn to see her walking quietly back to her castle
- "... Princess?"
- >"Oh, I'm just claiming 'dibs' on the remote. Feel free to join me inside when you finish your stargazing."
- >She giggles to herself as you stand there embarrassed
- >Outsmarted again, with no complaints
- >You roll your eyes with a daft smirk
- "Coming my dear."
