So this is just to explain why Mega Man Star Force 3 has two main categories, Any% and Any% With Cards.

So to begin with, in Japan Ryuusei no Rockman 3 had a few hidden menus that you could access by pressing on the touch screen at certain spots in menus sometimes with or without pushing a button with it. When it got localized, the menus got removed which I'll explain later. These special menus would let you change Mega Man's power at any time you want, giving yourself more HP, having certain cards do more damage and even modify your Noise Change. So, knowing just that would you say it deserves a new category? Well after messing with it, I felt like that would require a new category. These menus can be hacked back into North American copies of Star Force 3 and all menus are translated.

Now for those who don't know what they are, I'll give a simple explanation of each JP exclusive power
Noise Cards: Inputting special codes on the touch screen will result in things like HP+500 or Swords+20. Each card is a part of a suit like Poker and using cards like you're playing Poker can result in things like Royal Flush, Full House, etc
Transformation Cards: These will let you change your Noise power whenever at the expense of using a preset card folder.
Rezon Cards: Basically Noise Cards that only affect your Red Joker/Black Ace form

So with my idea of having runs that include these cards being a different category, I contacted the Star Force 3 runners. After a lot of tweets back and forth, we all agreed that runs on Japanese using these cards will be classified as Any% With Cards (if you really want to read through it all: https://twitter.com/MHFsilver/status/442813930784555008). You can still run on Japanese without using the cards and submit it as Any% but if you use any of the cards, the category changes.
