"I think there might be a way around here if you don't want to climb."

Venec:
Venec frowned at the underbrush, "Nope it looks like it gets tangled here. Climbing down will be less of a mess."
Kaorin Sakura:
You see that the ledge is roughly 5 meters steep.
Andy:
Kia smiles and wanders over to the ledge. "doesn't look too steep anyhow."
Venec whispers: How big is this log here?
You whisper to Venec_Myles: around 5 ft. thick and 10 ft. long.
DNA has connected.
Danny has connected.

Venec:
Venec tried to grab the nearby log and push it into the V of the ledge's curve to form a ramp.

Venec:

Kaorin Sakura:
(As I made the log part of the snapshot BG, we'll just go with descriptions)
Kaorin Sakura:
Venec huffs for a moment and suddenly pushes the log over the edge of the ledge. It hits the ground with a loud thud startling nearby Pokémon and lands in a V shape against the ledge, standing around 9 ft. (3 meters) up the ledge and giving a small walkway down.

Venec:
"That'll make it easier at least." Venec nodded with satisfaction before beginning his climb down.

Venec:
Strength « 1d20+ = 9 »

Venec:
« 1d20+7 = 11 + 7 = 18 »
Kaorin Sakura:
Venec climbs down the ledge with ease onto the log before walking down it casually. Komiho crawled down the wall of the ledge and scampered behind him.
Andy:
"Wow....thanks Venec! " Kia wanders over and attempts to climb down the log as well.
Kaorin Sakura:
Lucy did her usual float down and Grace followed suit.
* Andy rolls: 1d20+2 => 3 + 2 = 5
Kaorin Sakura:
Andy slowly climbs down the wall and staggers some on the log before walking down safely.

Venec:
Venec scanned the monkey-likes as the others followed.
DNA:
Cepheus noted the newly formed log bridge and climbed down as well to meet the others.
Kaorin Sakura:
Storm refuses to walk down.

Cepheus climbs down easily and walks down the log behind everyone.

Kia:
"Storm..it's okay.." Kia smiles gently to the creature before recalling it and sending it out again once she reached the ground.

Kaorin Sakura:
Danny climbs down the ledge onto the log easily, hopping down the log with easy and Larry follows behind him, albeit slowly.

Danny:
Damn! I rock!

Cepheus:
"Doesn't this place feel a bit different? I think we might be in some sort of clearing..."

Venec:
Walked to the sign to read.

Danny:
"I am not sure," Danny deduced, "but I think we're in some sort of clearing." Danny rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Kaorin Sakura:
You read the same scratched up sign that you all deduced before to be a warning about the Forests Guardian.

Cepheus:
"...Are you just echoing me or do you actually think that?"

Venec:
"Huh." Venec grunted.
Kaorin Sakura:
"Aipom, the Long Tail Pokémon. Normal type. It lives high among the treetops. It can use its tail as freely and cleverly as its hands."
DNA:
Cepheus stepped forward a bit to survey the area...
Kaorin Sakura:
The Aipom all look at the new group, making loud chatter and dancing about.

Kia:
"What's wrong Venec?" Kia looked over as he made a gruff like noise.

Venec:
Venec recalls the trail.

Kia:
"They are so happy!" Kia creeps closer to get a better look.

Venec:
"Oh, that sign is one we saw the last time we came through. Which means we're about where the forest USED to end."
You whisper to Venec_Myles: West / Northwest from your location.

Venec:
"Alright, got the trail. This way."

Danny:
"Nevermind that, Cepheus," Danny concluded. "There's more important things to worry about!"

Cepheus:
"All that way and we're where the forest USED to end? Did it somehow get bigger without actually occupying any more space?"

Venec:
"It looks like it."

Danny:
"Well," Danny thought aloud, "I did release my Steelix here. It could have opened up the forest a little..."

Cepheus:
"...Strange phenomenon..."
Kaorin Sakura:
Everyone suddenly remembers that when you all left Pewter City, you didn't pass through Route 3 to reach the forest.

Kia:
"Well it may have taken over that last route since we didn't have to go through it..."

Danny:
"Or, we didn't pass through here! I just remembered!"

Cepheus:
"That's...that's definitely possible."

Danny:
"Me first!"

Venec:
Venec stopped in his tracks, "Wait!"

Primeape:
"PpppppppraaaaaaGHHH!!!"

Venec:
"Angryians."

Danny:
Danny eyed the Primeapes. "New plan! You first!"

Kia:
"Angryians? Is that what these are called?" Kia takes out her pokedex and scans it.

Venec:
Venec scanned the new pokemon but made no threatening moves.

Cepheus:
"Dangit Danny! Don't kill us again!"

Danny:
"We come in peace!"

Venec:
"Angryian, a thing that is angry. If I don't know the name and it's running forward that's what I'm calling it!"
Kaorin Sakura:
"Primeape, the Pig Monkey Pokémon. Fighting type. It grows angry if you see its eyes and gets angrier if you run. If you beat it, it gets even madder."

Danny:
Danny stared at the Primeape's feet.

Kia:
Kia smiled but didn't laugh. Laughing just didnt seem like a good thing to do at the moment.

Lucy:
"...Looks like we have no choice. They're not moving."

Grace:
"Psh, I can take 'em."

Venec:
"We could go around the lake."

Danny:
"Well," Danny said, "if they're fighting, we're gonna bea the poo out of them."

Cepheus:
"How difficult can it be with three Psychic-types?"
Kaorin Sakura:
The Primeape knock their fists together and begin to approach you all.

Venec:
"Looks like they picked the fight. Alright! Let's go!"

Venec:

"Wow." Danny looked a little surprised, "This is sort of entertaining to watch."

Venec grunted as he hit the ground, trying to roll from the next attack.

Larry stepped forward, before Danny was able to make an order, deciding to release a confusing wave of psychic energy against the Primeape Grace had just attacked. He planned to make it look like it was all Grace's doing.

"You holding up okay, Venec?"

Danny:
"Woo!"

"Bruised, but doing fine."

Lucy:
"Congrats. That wasn't something most people would do and come out alright."

Danny:
Danny walked over to one of the fallen Primeape and kicked it a little. "Hah! Not so tough!"

Venec:
"Thank you."
DNA:
Cepheus got the feeling that Danny and/or Grace would say "we aren't most people!" then strike a pose or something.

Danny:
Danny, due to vampire mind meld, said, "We aren't most people!" Then struck a pose.

Venec:
"I wasn't sure I could take it myself. I saw them coming and I knew Primeape aren't something you can run from, so I charged in."

Grace:
"Nah, that wasn't too bad and everyone looks alright."

Danny:
He then waddled over to Venec. "You look hurt. I'll fix you right up!"

Danny:
He got to work.

Venec:
"Thanks." Venec helded out his battered arm, "Bit on my back too, they kept slamming me down. Knocked the wind out of me."

Danny:
Useing Treat Serious Wound: Heal 80 HP.

Venec:
Venec is healed and gains 80 hit points.

Danny:
Danny wrapped some bandages on his arm and massaged his back.

Venec:
"I... don't know how you do that." Venec was pretty impressed.

Danny:
"I watched a lot of TV hospital dramas," Danny explained.

Venec:
After the quick lookover Venec searched through the Primeape and their turf for any lay-around items.
* Grace wipes her brow for a moment and puts her hands on her hips.

Grace:
"Well, now we can kee---"
* Grace suddenly held her sides feeling an unusual tightness.
* Grace hunches over and sits on her knees, her body pulsing with a radiating glow, grunting with each pulse of light.
DNA:
Cepheus stood there in shock - he'd been waiting for this. Then suddenly Jupiter appeared, because he'd been waiting for it too.
Kaorin Sakura:
Cepheus may make a Dex check to stop this.

Danny:
Danny looke concerned, "I think she's choking!"

Cepheus:
Danny's comment threw a panic switch on in his mind. "Grace, you all right??"
Kaorin Sakura:
I small breeze begins to swirl around her as the light radiates brighter and with a small gust of swirling wind and a humming down, Grace stands tall, no longer as a Kirlia, but a Gardevoir.

"Are you serious?" Venec asked Cepheus.

Cepheus:
"What do you mean, am I serious?"

Kia:
Kia watched amazed. It seemed like just yesterday that theu had found Grace a little ralts. " Beautiful!"

Venec:
"You're to jumpy."

Danny:
Danny yawned.

Jupiter:
Jupiter was now staring at Grace; he found his gaze impossible to move. She looked good. Then one of his magnets spontaneously discharged.

Cepheus:
"Yeah...I guess I am...aren't I?"

Danny:
"This is like Sailor Moon," Danny said, sagely.

Cepheus:
"Grace, you're..." he got stuck mid-sentence. Jupiter took this as a cue to whack Cepheus on the back so he could finish it. "...beautiful!"

Jupiter:

Danny:
"It's a little anti-climatic, though," Danny noted, "with all these unconscious monkeys around us while we look at Grace in awe."

Venec:
Venec continued to search around for items laying about, assuming that Grace would be swarmed with more attention than she could take.

Danny:
"It's like a funny movie!"

Cepheus:
"A /funny/ movie, Danny?"

Danny:
"Well," Danny admitted, "I would advocate beating up monkeys unless I thought it was funny. Why do you advocate beating up monkeys?"

Cepheus sighed a bit. Danny would always be Danny, he supposed. Then Jupiter nudged Cepheus, who took a step forwards toward Grace.

Cepheus:
"Grace...how do you feel?"

Grace:
"I'm quite alright."

Cepheus:
"That's a relief. Feel any different?"

Grace:
"Was a tad bit painful. Didn't expect that."

Grace:
"No, not really."

Venec:
Venec couldn't say he was looking forward to Grace's evolution. He had just started getting along with her adolecent form and had no idea if things'd be the same. He was happy for her either way.

Cepheus:
"That's good." He wasn't sure what to say next, although he was a lot happier that Grace was actually a lot closer to his own height now. No more having to keep looking down to see her.

Kia:
Kia smiled at Grace. "Congrats on your evolution Grace! It was amazing!"

Grace:
"We still have Irian to find, right? We're ready to move?"

Danny:
"Okay! Me first!"

Grace:
"If you want to."

Venec:
Venec returned Komiho and sent out Rhea.

Grace:
"Just don't go rolling in front of large, bipedal monsters, or look into the eyes of maniac creatures."

Grace:
"I'll think of more later."

Kia:
Kia decided to return Lala and send out Zaine.

Cepheus:
"You're actually concerned about Danny killing himself, aren't you?"

Grace:
"Us more so."

Cepheus:
"Right...because we'll have to inevitably rescue him."

Danny:
Danny stuck out his tongue at Grace a little cheekily.

Grace:
"Mhuuuuuhh!"

Jupiter:
Jupiter was still staring right at her.
* Grace turned to Jupiter and leapt on him, giving him a tight squeeze.

Grace:
"Haha!! I always wanted to hug you like this!"
* Lucy smiled a bit at Grace's antics.

Venec:
"Glad you're still the same Grace, I was a little worried."

Jupiter:
Jupiter almost fell over when Grace tackled him like that. He was being poked by the spike on her chest. It felt uncomfortable.

Danny:
"Guys," Danny said, suddenly thoughtful, "have you ever thought what happens to all those PokeMon we beat up after we left? Do they get eaten by a passing predator or what?"
* Grace hopped off of Jupiter before patting both Cepheus and Jupter with her hands and pointing toward nowhere in particular.

Venec:
"I've mostly been hiding them. Primeape should be okay."

Grace:
"We have to rescue our damsel! Now let's....!"
* Grace paused for a moment before strutting behind Venec.

Grace:
"Follow him."

Cepheus:
"Sound idea." Cepheus kept walking forward with the rest of the party. He was trying to keep his face neutral, but inside he was disappointed. (Don't I get a hug?) he was thinking.

Danny:
Danny looked a little forlorn by Grace's sudden statement.

Venec:
"Hm... north path is the most direct, but also the roughest looking. Well, north it is!"

Grace:
"We'll be fine, Tatakai-kun."

Danny:
Danny purposely hung back with a sad look on his fae.

Danny:

Venec:
"It's getting darker guys, keep closer."

Danny:
"It's getting WAY darker.

Danny:
"EEP! I can't see my hands!"

Danny:
Danny ran back toward the light.

Cepheus:
"Danny, don't you dare break off from the group. It's already hard to see as it is."

Venec:
"Kia, want to send out Storm again? We could use the light, even if she doesn't battle."
Kia:
"Okay will do." Kia sennds out storm to help with the lighting situation

Danny:
"CATERPIEEE~~~"

Danny:
Danny looked at Cepheus. "Just kidding!"
Kia:
"Danny-No..." Kia's tone begs him not to begin to wander

Cepheus:
(Ugh, not this again.) Then aloud, "Do we need more light? I could help with that."

Venec:
"If you could take the rear while Lucy and I take he front the lighting will be best for all of us.

Cepheus:
"You want me to take the rear? All right.

Venec:
Venec recalls the scent.
DNA:
Cepheus then recalled Jupiter and sent out his Articuno.
DNA:

You whisper to Venec_Myles: Northwest.

Venec:
"Alright! I think we're on the final stretch!"

Venec:
"Distraction!"
Kia:
"Huh?" Kia looked around confused.

Venec:
"Cepheus! There's something in the trees over there, if you can get through the trees."

Cepheus:
"All right, let me try..."

Danny:
"I could use Curly!"

Venec:
"Bad plan."

Danny:
"Or not." Sad face.
DNA:
"You use Curly, you'll wound us all." (what check do I make)

Venec:
"Smaller works better in tight spaces."
Kaorin Sakura:
You'll need to climb up the tree, over, and then down it.
Kaorin Sakura:
The tree itself is roughyl...let me check measurements.

"Kia! It's really dark! And I'm frightened!"
DNA:
"About 12 meters tall...Tricky, but not impossible. I think I can climb this."

Larry seemed to sense that Kia could help, and prodded her backpack containing the elusive Flash TM.

"Grace, Yukianesa, be ready to break my fall if I mess up."

Kia frowns but then remembers something and starts to dig in her bag. "Here Danny use this!" She digs out the tm and hands it to him.
Kaorin Sakura:
Cepheus begins to climb the tree, making his way up slowly 4 meters.

Kaorin Sakura:
Cepheus continues to climb the tree, making his way up slowly 4 meters.

Larry:
Larry was quick to take it, using it on himself!

Larry learns Flash.

Danny:
Danny looked a little confused, but Larry suddenly began to glow in the darkness.

Danny:
"Wow! You're so smart, Larry!"

Larry:
Larry nodded, then gave the TM back to Kia.
Kia:
"There we go. Much better." Kia smiles down at Larry.
Kaorin Sakura:
Cepheus quickly climsb the remaining meters and moves over to the other side and down 2 meters.
DNA:
"All right, now for the tricky part; slowly moving back down."
* DNA rolls: 1d20+2 => 2 + 2 = 4

Cepheus loses his footing and falls.
DNA:
"Argh!" he yelled as his foot slipped and he began to plummet. He reached out to try and grab a branch on the way down.

Danny:
"Grace. Can't you just lift that item with your psychic powers?"

Cepheus hits the ground with a sickening crunch as he plummets headfirst.

Danny:
"Ouch."

Venec tried to climb over to see if he was okay.

"...That...that kinda smarts..."

Venec jumps up a few branches and reaches the top.

Danny:
Danny's eyes went wide and happy at the prospect of a Love Ball. "The greatest ball of them all!"
Kia:
"Ouch." Kia flinched a little as she watched.

Danny:
"Nothing is stronger than the power of Love!"

Venec:
"Are you alright?"

Danny:
"Except, maybe, a Master Ball."

Cepheus:
"Greater than a Master Ball, Danny?" he replied as he grabbed it. Then to Venec, "Yeah, I'm all right. Just a small bruise."
DNA:
Cepheus then began to climb back up the tree to reconvene with the party.

Venec nodded and skipped his way back down the trees. « 1d20+7 = 14 + 7 = 21 »
Kaorin Sakura:
Cepheus climbs up the whole 12 meters.

"That was...surprisingly effortless."

Cepheus skips down the tree.

"All right. Shall we keep going?"

Danny:
Danny walked up to Cepheus and put a baindaid on his head. "There."

Danny:

Cepheus:
"...Thanks, Danny."

Cepheus:
Cepheus is healed and gains 15 hit points.

Venec:
Venec chuckled at the two, then looked to Rhea and Lucy, "Ready to go?"

Cepheus:
"...you're kidding, right danny?"

Lucy:
"Yes."

Cepheus:
"She started talking about the same time she got hips."

Danny:
"Shoosh, Lucy," Danny said.

Danny:
"Stop revealing my secrets!"
* Rhea cracked her knuckles enthusiastically.
DNA:
He couldn't believe he actually said that aloud.
* Grace straddles her body with her hands.

"Even better."

Danny:
"So does Larry."

Cepheus giggled silently to himself.

Lucy:
"Uhh...y-yeah, sure."

Danny:
"I don't know what that is! But I like Larry Face better!"

"That's pretty motherly of him," Danny explained.

"We've been walking for a while."

"Venec's been following a trail, though, so we're on the right track, at least."

"I don't sense anything either."

"I told you I should've gotten Curly to help!"

"Looks like this is it..."

Cepheus:
"Jackpot, guys."

Danny:
Danny stopped. "Well, that's ominious."

Danny:
"And frightening. And scary. And evil-looking."

Larry stepped forward, ready to use his Flash move once he was out of line of everybody else.

Venec:
Venec saw something and walked over for a look

"Gyah...ha....ha...haaaaaaa."

Danny:
"It's a-a-a-a g-g-g-ghost!"

Venec uses Oder Sleuth!

Danny:
Danny pointed at one of the Haunters.
Venec:
Venec scanned one of them.
* Haunter points back to Danny. Then to itself. Then to its mouth.

Danny:
Danny sticks out its tongue. "Nanananana~!"

Danny:
"I like that one!"
Kaorin Sakura:
"Haunter, the Gas Pokémon. Ghost and Poison type. It likes to lurk in the dark and tap shoulders with a gaseous hand. Its touch causes endless shuddering."

Lucy:
"I like it here. It's peaceful."
* Grace cracked her knuckles.

Grace:
"Finally, a chance to test out my punching skills."

Danny:
"You! You should join us! On a grand journey!
Venec:
Venec recalls the trail.

Haunter 2:

DNA:
Cepheus couldn't tell if Grace was being aggressive or just her normal self.

Danny does a jig of a dance. "Yay!"

Danny:
"Okay," Danny said, "just follow us!"

Cepheus:
"Danny, get back over here!" Cepheus yelled. "We don't have the time for another one of your death stunts."
Venec:
"This way everyone." Venec begins to walk, but doesn't move suddenly.

Danny:
"But it's not one of those! Look at it! It's smiling!

Danny:
"It's adorable!"

Cepheus:
"They're ALL smiling."

Danny:
"They're ALL adorable!"

Cepheus:
"Doesn't mean they don't want to hurt us." Cepheus kept walking, cautiously following Venec.

Cepheus sighed a little. "Grace, if I didn't have you around for company, Danny would have driven me mad."
* Haunter 4 makes a fist with its gas hand and suddenly throws a punch at Lucy.
* Kaorin Sakura rolls: 1d20 Shadow Punch vs. Lucy. => 18
* Kaorin Sakura rolls: 2d10+8+7+5 Physical Ghost Damage! => 12 + 8 + 7 + 5 = 32

Grace:
"I'm glad I don't drive you mad."

Cepheus:
"How could you possibly drive me mad?" he said with a smile.

Danny:
"You drive him mad in other ways."

Cepheus:
"She does NOT!"

Danny:
"I mean," Danny started whistling innocently.
* Grace giggles to the comment.

Venec:
"Life or death, no flirting!" Venec said getting in fighting stance.

Grace:
"Aww, I don't."

Cepheus:
"Right, sorry, sorry."

Danny:
"Right, sorry, sorry."

Cepheus:
"Grace, Confusion against the one that just hit Lucy."

Danny:
"Here that, Larry? No more flirting."

* Lucy recoils backwards as she's hit in the face with a ghost punch. Her brow suddenly furrowing.
* Haunter 4 is suddenly knocked to the ground with an internal 'pwoosh' sound.

Venec:
"You and me this time Lucy. I think you can manage yourself."

"Rhea stay back"

* Haunter 3 suddenly places its hand inside of itself, twisting its insides.

Venec can feel his own insides twisting in response.

* Lucy casually walks behind the Haunter and extends her hidden claws.

Haunter 3 loses 57 hit points.
* Haunter 3 is hit with 5 long, bone-like claws and the gas its made out of barely manages to re-assemble itself as it falls to the ground.

Danny looked a little beaten the continued onslaught.

Venec:
Venec couldn't help but flinch seeing that move, but was a little awed at the same time.

Larry:
Larry rowned. Nobody hurt Danny on his watch. Especially when Danny did not deserve it in the slightest!

Haunter:
Haunter loses 40 hit points.

Danny:
Danny pulled out a Friend Ball from his bag.
* Haunter is hit with an internal 'pwoosh' sound but floats slightly still.

Danny:
He tried to throw it at the Haunter.

* Haunter is hit in the face with a loud 'SMACK' of the friend ball that gives a delayed activation, engulfing the ghost in a swallowing light.

Danny:
"WOO!"
Venec has received initiative.

Venec:
"It loks like you're only getting stronger Lucy."

Danny:
"Good job, Larry," Danny said, "that was scary. Hope we can teach this Haunter some manners."
Kaorin Sakura:
The Friend Ball disappears in a flash of light.

Lucy:
"...I've been practicing..."

Venec:
"I can tell." Venec replied, clearly impressed.

Cepheus:
Cepheus chuckled, "I can tell it's not a life-or-death situation anymore, given the flirting, right?"

Cepheus:
"...By the way, Venec, do you still feel unwell?"

Venec:
"Hm?" Venec replied, oblivious.

Venec:
"No, I'm good."

Cepheus:
"All right, that's good to hear."

Narrator:
