- Alerderna> SHAROOOOOOOON
- <Cheren> yes?
- <Alerderna> Was wondering, how much would the cost be for just a standard RGB set of dye
- <Alerderna> Or a set of the wide variety of colors kek.
- <Cheren> dye as for clothing, right?
- <ZSU-23-4-Shilka> More specifically for making make-up
- <Cheren> so temp dye?
- <Alerderna> aye.
- <Alerderna> Or count just be the concentrated shiz, then could be heavily watered down.
- <Cheren> found something... needs a solvent though
- <Alerderna> Like, my original plans were >water, ash and heavily diluted dye
- <Cheren> well, shoot. these are water insoluable..
- <Alerderna> hrm
- <Cheren> looking for something else
- <Cheren> hm, found some DIY kits.
- <Alerderna> o? How much?
- <Cheren> http://www.brambleberry.com/Mineral-Make-up-W4C146.aspx So, because of import costs, the eye shadow kit would be 68. essentially multiply prices there by 1.5
- * Alerderna can prolly throw his last bits at that, a whopping 66 hue.
- <Cheren> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfEeHfYViMI and basic instructions
- * Alerderna held onto his bits for that long while like a good goy
- * Alerderna would like to order that ( ._.)
- <Alerderna> Anyways, brb, gotta pick up muh sister.
- <Cheren> alright let me know when you get back
- <Aler|AFK> gnyah
- <Cheren> hey. found a cheaper kit while you were gone
- <Alerderna> woot
- * Alerderna used to make home made beauty products with his mother
- <Alerderna> lip balms, gloss, hand creams, etc. etc.
- <Cheren> 59. gives enough for 24 different eyeshadows @ 1.5 grams each.
- <Alerderna> nice
- <Alerderna> I also do plan on making blush, eye liner, lipstick and the like hue.
- <Cheren> yeah I saw some of the stuff for hommade lipstick ingredients. If you can bug me into ordering the oils and such for food IC I probably would.
- <Alerderna> The only canon oil we have currently is corn oil, right?
- <Cheren> yeah
- <Alerderna> hmm... Just needs a binding agent to keep lipstick together now. Things’ll be trial and error, yeah hue. But it’s all a matter of finding the perfect mixture.
- <Alerderna> Although could press some berries and use the colored juices in it, make it flavored lipstick whilst I’m at it kek.
- <Cheren> well we do get berries in weekly with the food
- <Alerderna> fine strainer + cheesecloth + a block of wood shaped like a pestil to press it
- <Alerderna> could work
- <Alerderna> But would it be a less expensive way beyond the soluble dye?
- * Cheren shrugs
- <Alerderna> prolly the dye would be a bit cheaper in the long run, not so much a strain on the food stock.
- <Alerderna> Maybe Corn Startch as a binding agent... So long as it doesn’t wind up as a non-neutonian fluid hue.
- <Alerderna> So, this is what I’m thinking now. A DIY kit, approx 4 wooden bowls, a pan or kettle thing to hang over the fire (not a beaker), some corn startch for a trial run on my theory, some weak-strength dyes, a sheet of bees wax, there may be more, I just need to think hue.
- <Cheren> well, talk to people to make some stuff.
- <Cheren> or make the wooden bowls yourself.
- <Alerderna> Feather would be interested prolly hue.
