Voting/Selection rules/policies or whatever you feel like calling them.

0. This is NOT a set of rules or guidelines to measure how good a given artist is or to objectively measure the quality of his/her music. It IS, however, somewhat of a guide on picking a selection of music to introduce newcomers to brony music so they can listen to what the community agrees on what they should listen as entry point into brony music so they can explore and make acquire their own taste.

On the List of artists/"Archive"

0. The list of artists is the list where we hold the list of the artist submitted in the threads, along with recommendations made by that poster. Check OP for details on where the current version is.

1. All artist submissions are welcome to the thread. No exceptions.
2. Any artist can have up to three songs in the list at any given time.
3. Any anon can request to change any given song for any given artist. This should be as follows.
3.1 Anon identifies as the artist. As per request, we change the songs listed.
3.2 Song is more popular than a previous one (measured by playcount on the site). If the song is too new, it should be easy to predict that it will reach the playcount of one the song in the archive soon. This is to keep the content both fresh and popular.

On the recommendation list

0. The recommendation list is a moving entity. Therefore its contents is neither static nor complete. This list includes what WE (Anon & Co. @ /mlp/) consider what is the easiest entry point into Pony Music and/or what has been a sensation within the fandom (stuff everybody has talked about at a given point).

1. The recommendation list is split by genre to allow newcomer to pick a genre they already like
2. Any given artist can have no more than 1 single/song per genre and no more than 3 singles/songs on the whole list, this is to prevent to bloat the list with the same artist.
2.1 Albums are special case since they are rare within the fandom. Therefore, an artist can have an album list even when he have 3 singles/songs listed.
3. Decisions are not final. Any anon may challenge the list to make changes or amends as long as it proves why such a change is relevant

Amending this rules

0. This guidelines are not perfect in any sense an can be amended as long as Anon & Co. decide to do such changes (Granted they agree on such changes).
