  1. Sir December had known far better than to become the indulgent. December was aloft, cold-hearted and stern. You could see his brass brows, asleep upon his shut eyes. His hair, drooping mysteriously upon a thin, outlined forehead. A pale complexion hides underneath a dressing spontaneous tranquility. Familiarity with him is an oddity -- a serene relationship could show that his undemanding personality makes for flexible variety in terms of sociable notions. His gestures can be unreadable. His words can be misleading. And his ungraceful self is an easy affinity. His thoughts, the way his mind works, can only be vaguely compared to a machine. Running. Neverending. He doesn't stop thinking -- be it a redundant subject -- or a lackluster topic. An atypical cite is that, he doesn't ever bother fulfilling the quo, because that's what it meant to never bother. His expression is amplified under the wind, wrinkled nose and soft eyes. Glaring mouth, disheveled, messy hair. A remarkably toned, twitchy ear. Everything about him spoke of handsome; and nothing like a simplistic blemish could nullify that. His efficient motorbike slash duel runner's sounds exploded, a mighty roar that uncomfortably rendered the streetway alive.
  2.
  3. As if it possessed wings, the duel runner sped implausibly. As if it possessed the fangs, the wheels pounced upon the surface with a mild turn to the throttle. It felt great. Surely, though, it's speed had dwindled over the years. Contemplation was due, as December had most certainly brung about that subject a little too much. His individual mind had always been secluded -- thoughts that aren't oftentimes heard publicly could all be seen, vaulted to his contingent mind, forever to roam. Despite the fact that his emotions loomed clearly, he never voiced an opinion. I suppose, you could say he's just so cheap, he can't afford a two-cent. Never did. Never will. But he can be changed, or otherwise, what will be left of December is an unheard-of voice. He felt constricted, always on a selective side of the world -- choosey, hard-edged, thick-skulled. He was the type of stubborn man never to understand. If he says no, it's not because he'll reconsider briefly, but because he's sure it's the right answer.
  4.
  5. Instinct, you could say. Intution had always been a part of December, whether he recognized it or not. A part of personality that was frequently arrayed nominally. Perhaps even instinct can happen abruptly, but rather evidently, also as reflexive as all else. He drove. The streets weren't exactly quiet, but far more silent than they were before. The contemporary news had probably left a stunning dent on what the civilization had grown upon. People had probably underestimated Duel Monsters way too much, but for the sake of convenience, December didn't. He'd always remembered better times -- and bitter times, too, unfortunately -- and had become victim to those reminisces on a clearer basis. He harnessed those memories into a physical form, a diamond-worth deck holstered to his waistline, only slightly elevated from his other belt that crosses in a strap to his abdomen's bottom half. It explicity divines the shirt from his pants, a long, dark pair. Underneath were modish shoes, no more to them other than what's noticeable.
  6.
  7. He pressed further, the duel runner had probably exceeded it's limits already, but he guessed that it could handle. More and more to it. More. The Duel Runner had raved, salvaging papers and aluminium cans that dawdled through the roadway into hashes. But it's speed had suddenly dimmed, what with his legs transcending into the brakes, and pressing heavily into them. His eyes slice to gaze at Colin Fox, a man he'd never known before. His leg shifts the trigger, and the Duel Runner is held in place. His left leg pushes out from the side, and he inclines close to the seat, his body prone but his neck turned curiously. His lips unfurl, a prominently hung-over voice with a stiff aftereffect subsequently follows. "Greets'," he'd spoken. The formality had dimmed over the years, but wisened and daunty. Not so thickly accented. In fact, as notable as the sun, his voice had an unusual color of nativity to it.

  11. Aloysius Elysium turns her head at the sound of screeching wheels and an engine's hum. Even from the opposite end of the hall, the lights that are cast onto her figure spill a shadow onto the ground of the room that waits beyond. "Miyata!" She pulls on her scarf to tighten it and takes two strides back into the hallway, then hops - as the man passes her with his Duel Runner, she catches onto the back and pulls herself down. There's a thud as she hits the seat behind him.

  13. Miyata Akechi didn't think she had it in her to jump on while he was driving, but there aren't any complaints here. It didn't take him long to zoom through that strange room with the frozen 'bodies' (which he was in such a rush, he didn't pay any attention to), and approach the colosseum.
  14.
  15. "Hang on!" The figure just ahead is tall. At least a head or two taller than him. Nevertheless, they're definitely not going back the way they came - that girl probably closed it up, anyway - so he's going to keep speeding forward. It's his choice if he gets out of the way or not. Destination: That door on the far side of the circular room.
  16. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa | "Are you trying to outrun your problems?" The man's thin lips curl into a devilish smile. There's a violent crackle of azure energies. That deep blue color makes a quick transition into a furious and violent scarlet red. What's being formed there is a Duel Disk. Though the construction that fans out and allows cards to be played seems to be mostly composed of light. Nevertheless, he'll treat it as a solid weapon. With a profound strength he leaps towards Miyata's speeding runner and swings with the arm bearing his Duel Disk. He'll either cut into Miyata's body and send him flying, or destroy a good portion of the runner.
  17. Aloysius Elysium knows when she hears that crackling and sees the strange light. A switch goes on in her head and the floodgates to her adrenaline open. "Oh------." She grabs onto her backpack with her left hand and slings her right arm around Miyata's torso. This may hurt, but it's reflexive, and a better option. With a wrench and the weight of her body, she throws to the left with her hooked arm to send both herself and her friend off the bike and down onto the floor.
  18. Miyata Akechi can't even believe this right now. Is that...Alchemy? "What the h-woah!" He was preparing for a hard turn to the side, but he's caught by Aloysius and tossed off the bike with her before he can do so. It's a good thing too, because he would have taken a vicious cut otherwise.

  21. Colin Fox could hardly be called a 'man' without adjectives. The youth only stands at around 4'8", and aside from his left arm, his complexion likely wins against December's in a battle of paleness. Regardless, that's not what makes the youth lose a lot of his claim to the title of 'man'. His hair is a baby blue color, and whether that was natural or not was debatable. The clothes don't say much. A gray jacket zipped without any slack to it paired with a pair of black dress pants. This seemed normal enough for a kid his age, but if it weren't for the sake of keeping unnoticed, he'd probably be decked out in bright colors.
  22.
  23. One thing does stick out though. His hands do not match, the right being the small pale hand of a normal preteen while his left is slightly larger, fingers protruding further out, and the skin gleaming with a sick red tint. Aside from that, this was just a normal kid to the eye, but one could hardly put such a thing aside. To pry or not to pry, that was the choice that seperated some people from others.
  24.
  25. Colin tenses up when he realizes what he assumed was a passing Duel Runner begins to stop. Had he been to confident in his escape? Possibly. It was a trial and error process, both for him and his constraints. A seemingly endless race, but he figures he might have lost this time as well. ...But he couldn't assume that lest he risk ruining this scandle for nothing. His back straightens; hands curl into light fists. Eyes turn to the biker. "Hello." Simple and decisive greeting said with a calm tone of voice. Stranger or not, he didn't feel like talking in a mature manner if it would only bring problems.

  45. [ NOTE : On the first turn of regular Duels, players will not draw a card. They will work with the five that they begin with. During Riding Duels, however, the first turn will consist of drawing a card due to the differences between the forms of Dueling. Refer to the topic for more information on that. ]
  46.
  47.
  48. The Yang Zing and Fire Fist archetypes cannot be used. They do not exist ICly as they have been set aside for something. This means no, you can't use Fire Fist spells if you're running Bujin. For all intents and purposes all associated cards are banned and that's something you can deal with rather easily by just giving up on trying to make decks that rely on those cards.
  49.
  50.
  51. Similarly, to the above, Numbers monsters do not exist in this RP. This is moreso for the story rather than having anything to do with the game. Most of the player base here appreciates Zexal and Zexal II anyway. Regardless of that, you will not be approved for having a Number in your deck. Please do not try to argue with this. If you're displeased---just say it's gay and move on.
  52.
  53.
  54. Though we don't have a proper banlist, most of the playerbase approaches Yu-Gi-Oh! as a roleplay with a "Fun over Function"philosophy. That isn't suggesting you forego anything even resembling consistency. It's just a reminder not to go overboard when equipping your deck for threats. Keep thematics, and your character in mind too when building a deck. That doesn't just mean their personality, that means their living situation as well. Furthermore, if asked to replace a card with something similar during the approval process, please do not mention "but what I have is better" because yes, yes it probably is, and that is probably the point.

  58. Selene: The Reverand Aaron Cartwright, the Miracle Maker of God was cleaved in two clean pieces and killed. Gael Travers died. Meiji Bellicino seems to have disappeared, and so has Ethan Cartwright. Loki's glacier exploded. The creature was summoned in a Duel, and began to wreak havoc. Tropical trees grew and thrived. (Some of)The ice caved and melted, thus causing the temperature to rise(or perhaps vice versa). Beautiful flowers have grown all over.
  59.
  60. Dewdrop: The Weather Institute was burglarized by the very same Duel Runner riding thief. In addition, it has been confirmed that the thief is a Turbo Duelist, after a highspeed chase involving Duel Monsters. Not only did she engage in the police, but the Masked Rider too. Suspect is believed to able to use Alchemy and is highly dangerous.

  62. (NEW) Because of Loki's summoning, there was a power outage for two hours this past morning. As most machines, even vehicles, share a common source of revolutionary new energy to ... well, work, the results were stunning. But, it wasn't too much of a disaster. It got colder in Dewdrop though, only by a slight amount though.

  67. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa goes soaring over the abandoned bike. Nevertheless, he deftly flies through the air and lands on his feet. Then, by thrusting his arm downward, the assailant penetrates the hardened ground beneath his feet. Flowing energy through the earth, he creates a channel leading to Miyata and Aloysius.
  68.
  69. A large pillar of stone erupts from the floor to send the two of them flying.
  70. Sir December hoped for a much less divergent encounter. His eyes couldn't hold off from that hand -- an eerie presence amongst them, lurking underneath a minsicule sleeve. But with all forms of hiding, it could stick out like a mold. December had tried much harder than a prying gaze, but hadn't spared himself the curiousity. Though surely, his opinion is to never be exchanged. He keeps himself tolled, filing his arms over one another and crisply holding his head forth for more inspection -- remarkably unapparent -- but still keeps his friendly, conservative eyes on Colin's face, to avoid a substantial gain in weirdness. In a moment's notice, though, he cast his back in an arc and backed his leg to the edge of the Duel Runner, unintentionally nudging it for all that is important. Non-chalantly, he grasps the chair and amplifies the height of his stand playfully, a joyful pair of eyes coyly investigating. He couldn't waste anymore time doing this, exponentially with a stranger. The left arm had surely scalded it's way into his memory. Disgusting? No. Eye-catching? Yes. December was just as stunned as he presumed all people would be. It could easily profile as a problematic enchantment in the free world. Publicly speaking, anyone would've pointed this out and awkwardly awaited an answer, but Colin was deliberately feigning ignorance, so December would play along. As accurate as he could.
  71. In that particular topic, it was somewhat obvious. Colin himself was likely to introduce the arm in a glance, but he hadn't, tentatively ensuring that it doesn't grow into an out-of-hand interaction subject between him and a candid -- now anxious -- rider. December settled himself quietly, situating his arm on his pockets and loosing his head. He didn't know of what else to speak, for his instinct might be driven to edge and he'd mouth the incongruity behind that arm. But, reflexively, he holds his tone to himself, and instead slouches quietly, only looking at the considerably shorter male. Interest was there, but December hadn't known what to make of it expressively lest he viciously rips apart Colin's subconscious with a barrage of offputting insults. Contradictive, mayhaps, but still a tad diverse. December keeps his opinion on hold, but becomes awfully judgmental with phenomenal things he isn't so familiar with. It explains much behind the fact that his conversations never last long, but this time, what with his outlandish approach and uneasy silence, a flint of eyes and a course of glares won't help much to remedy.
  72.
  73. But he'll revive it. He'll try his best. Colin Fox had probably much on his time to participate in a staring contest, so December will abuse that with a fragmanted topic that he can't solidly put into motion without feeling entirely awkward. Well, now that it might be so outspoken, he forgot what it was that stopped him. His trail was cut short because of a child. Great. Maybe it was a glimpse of that arm. Maybe it was a magnetic feeling that lead him here inherently. But, regardless, he won't leave empty-handed. He'll get whatever it is that halted him, be it information about that arm, or a due-time introduction for the unnecessity that is friendship. But it probably wouldn't happen. Even if Colin Fox wasn't entirely busy -- as he'd marginally appeared to be -- December was. He didn't have that much time to give out, but Colin had luckily -- or perhaps unfortunately -- caught December on a freetime ride. Something the blonde doesn't get privileged with often. "Nice weather today," he randomly points out, then guides the conversation along with the light of admitting inauguration. "My name is December." it sounded as womanly as it came. He hopes that no one questions it at any point in time.
  74. Aloysius Elysium rolls away from Miyata, and pushes herself up to her knees. As if a weight in itself, Valentine's words weigh on her and prevent her from standing. Her breath catches in her throat. ". . . What?" Staring at the floor like that, Miyata's Duel goes back over in her head. Its course, and its conclusion. A gruesome and red ending. It's in this that she doesn't notice the Dragon at first, and therefore only finds the earth's growling underneath her a surprise. "Shi---."
  75.
  76. Today comes with a lot of air-time. Her grip on her backpack stays tight, but she goes straight up, messed and lengthy scarf whipping about. No matter what sort of swinging she does with her limbs, it doesn't help much. She still falls straight down and hits the metal floor on her back. The jolt of the impact knocks the air out of her, and she grunts - but, after a second, she sets a curled first on the floor and pushes herself up to her feet. At first, it's just a crouch, but she slowly stands. "Cut the shit. What's wrong with you people?"
  77.
  78. There's real earnest in her voice.
  79. [ - Turbo HERO - ] The Masked Rider sighs to himself. That whole scene was horrifying. Perhaps it would be better to deal with Gris before trying to help out the other monsters. After all, if she didn't know he was here - if she was nearby then she probably did now. The fear of thinking he actually made it worse for the monster before him when he began breaking apart hung in the Masked Rider's heart for an instant... But, upon the card being completed he couldn't help but think: 'At least it's not getting electrocuted anymore'.
  80.
  81. With this rather weird turn of events, he held out his hand to try and take the completed card. If nothing bad happened, then he would turn it and try to see just what that monster was.
  82. The Swaying Story Teller | //Obtained Elemental HERO Core ( E HERO Koa )
  83. Miyata Akechi grinds his teeth together as he starts standing back up. "So that makes you," he growls, "the ones responsible for that entire mess!" His hand ducks underneath his cloak to activate his Duel Disk. He'll get this meathead out of the way first, then find where that girl is.
  84.
  85. Except he doesn't get that far. He's sent flying through the air before he figures out what caused it, and can't find anything to right himself with before he comes down. Face first. "Alchemy," Miyata grumbles as he carefully pushes himself up and wipes away the blood leaking from his nose. "Does it really matter what's wrong with them? If they want a fight, they've got one."
  86. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa | "Or perhaps he's wondering." Why is he even beginning his sentence like that? No one 'suggested' anything. "Why someone would chatter with an opponent who wants to kill them." His energy crackles from his hands and travels all the way down to his feet, using his log-like legs as a pathway. The entire ground flickers with red heat. Rock are cast into the air by some strong invisible force. Adorned in crimson light, they are flung hard in the direction of Aloysius and Miyata.
  87.
  88. Immediately after two rocks are cast at each of them, Yoru begins to run forward, brandishing his Duel Disk. "Here!" He'll just have to cleave them apart to make sure they're minced meat!
  89. Queen Venice Valentine: Com>Laboratory VI >"Can't escape! Can't escape!"

  92. Aloysius Elysium punches the floor. Hard. "I said---." She's cut off by the incoming projectiles, and throws her weight into a sideways roll. One hits her left shoulder and goads a grunt out of her. That's enough to strip her skin and cut the straps of her shirt on that side. More blood, huh. "Cut the shit!" Keep moving, Aloysius. Out of her rolel, she lunges into a stride and runs to meet Yoru - whom she THROWS her backpack at. Not at him. At his Duel Disk, specifically, which has proven to be deadly.
  93.
  94. Aloysius drops to the floor with one leg bent and one extended, momentum carrying her into a slide over the metal tiles past the large man's side. When her bag inevitably tears open or outright falls into halves from coming into contact with the man's Disk, she catches her own Duel Disk as it falls out on her way past him. On the strength of her extended leg, she forces herself right back up to a stand.
  95. Miyata Akechi just righted himself, and he's already diving to the side to avoid the boulder tossed his way. Thanks to the fact he's not as encumbered, he avoids having a chunk taken out of him, and rolls across the floor a few feet before pushing off of it and springing back up.
  96.
  97. Now his Duel Disk-equipped arm is free of his cloak, and the Extra Deck in particular half-emerges from its slot. This guy might have something that looks like a Duel Disk of his own equipped, but he's obviously more interested in straight-out killing them than Dueling.
  98.
  99. So he'll either force him into it, or just kill him outright himself. Miyata reaches for the top of the Extra Deck, but he stops himself and grabs for a card in the middle, instead. "Then if that's what you want..." He peers down at Dark Highlander held between his fingers. He'll summon it outside of a Duel and deal with Yoru Hashizawa that way.
  100. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa cuts Aloysius backpack right in half. But, when he stops, he's happy to find that Aloysius and Miyata have drawn their own Duel Disk, "Ah that's more like it. You're backed into a corner like animals. Trapped and desperate. CURAAAAAAAAAAZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! So. Who's first?" He turns to Miyata and raises. "How about you?"
  101.
  102. Without consent the Duel Disk systems begin to start up, before Dark Highlander can succesfully be summoned into the world and KILL Yoru Hashizawa.

  111. Colin Fox would laugh if it pleased him. Luckily, he didn't feel it would be pleasing enough to forsake the concept of manners. December's curiosity was an open book as far as Colin could tell. Not much of an attempt at not coming off as yet another person seeking answers to his arm. It didn't bother him though. He certainly wasn't proud about it, but people's curiosity always amused him. If people only cared to give him small talk due to it instead of wanting to know every scientific detail, he could probably grow to like this alteration to his body.
  112.
  113. But he doesn't, so he leaves said topic far in the back of his mind until it should be seeked out. He has time, so he'll avoid it for as long as possible. December's words would be greeted by a twisted little smirk, eyelids lowering as humor seeps into the boy's mind. Weather... "Yes, it is." Colin enjoyed colder weather. The feeling of cold air nipping at one's skin was always far more enjoyable than the searing energy that is heat, as far as Colin was concerned. December... It certainly was a feminine choice, wasn't it? Named after a month, it wasn't odd for it seem such. Colin will do December the favor of not pointing it out for doing likewise so far. "Colin."
  114.
  115. Well, they're at odds now. Common small talk and name exchanging masking whatever goal December actually had. Colin will play the joker in this case, lifting his head and speaking up after a short moment of consideration, "I guess even bikers get bored then?" It's a joking tone, but the mechanations in Colin's mind were running rapidly with this question. What kind of man did he just run into? What is he here for? Why pick out Colin of all people, because there was simply no reason for such if demonic looking body parts are a normal part of your life? Was he one of 'those people'? All was buried in a joke with his seemingly goofy glance watching for every sign of emotion that might give clues. The word 'trust' was not in Colin's mind at the moment. Everyone wants something...
  116. Sir December: "They don't. /I/ get bored."
  117. Colin Fox: "Looks like a bike to me."

  123. Aloysius Elysium takes a few strides back and leans against the wall. This was a Duel, again - the third in a chain of events so far. She extends her left arm out and sets her Disk onto it, holding for the few seconds it takes for the device to automatically lock into place and fit to her shape. When the familiar weight rests in place, she drops that arm to her side and glances down at her shoulder. It's a bloody mess and there's pain shooting down her muscles. "Tch. ."
  124. Miyata Akechi smirks, placing Dark Highlander back into his Extra Deck and standing up straight. "I guess there's no rest for me, huh? I guess I would have liked sitting back for once, but if you insist..." That's not really the truth. He'd love to have another chance to bring out Dark Highlander...or Loki himself.

  140. Colin Fox: "Why are you here...?"
  141. Sir December: "I asked myself that a few seconds ago. I couldn't muster a proper answer, so I'm still here."
  142. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa doesn't draw immediately, "Since this is my home you are eliminating, I'll be first. I'm activating Hidden Armory, right from the beginning, brother." When Yoru refers to Miyata as brother, the man can notice his own eye twitching. The same eye that bled when he summoned Loki. Nostalgia pervades his entire body. "By sending the top card of my Deck to the Graveyard, and sacrificing my power to summon monsters this turn, I can add an equip card to my hand." He draws. "I'll be sending this card to the Grave." And it's a peculiar little trap called Compulsory Evacuation Device.
  143.
  144. "Next I'll add the equip spell Dragonic Attack to my hand. Then I'll activate Pot of Duality. This lets me pick up three cards and select one to add to my hand. Sacrificing my other method of summon, Special Summon." He draws three cards and reveals them. "I add Rose, Warrior of Revenge to my hand." Goblindbergh and Mage Power are returned to the Deck. "Your MOVE."
  145. Colin Fox won't bother to pry further into how this man's mind operates. It was probably a hopeless endeavor. "Then why did you stop?"
  146. Sir December: "I pressed the brakes. It stopped. I don't know why."
  147. Sir December is being absolutely sarcastic. There's no need to carry along a stern and ear-bumping conversation with a CHILD.
  148. Miyata Akechi doesn't like this man. Not just because he tried to kill him - he's having that nostalgic feeling from before again. He can't stop his eye from twitching, and raises his free hand up to it. "Gh...forget about it..." He tells himself that, but what did he mean by 'brother?' Did this man...know him!?
  149.
  150. He'll get everything he wants to know out of him after he beats him. "These cards...where the hell...?" Pot of Duality? Compulsory Evacuation Device? Only rich Duelists in Dewdrop had those, as far as he knew. And Rose, Warrior of Revenge...
  151.
  152. "Draw! I'll set two cards..." Two face-down ones appear just in front of him vanish from view. "...And summon Armageddon Knight! When he's Summoned, I can send a DARK monster from my deck to the Graveyard!" A blast of purple light strikes his deck courtesy of the Knight, and he sends Stygian Street Patrol away. "Now, since you've left yourself wide open...attack!"
  153.
  154. Armageddon Knight dashes forward and sends a stab for Yoru's gut. No physical damage, but the Feel is there. Miyata isn't pleased. "Turn end."
  155. Colin Fox stopped caring at the point he realized if this guy actually had hostile intentions, making beeping noises from his cell phone would probably entertain him long enough to flee. "Okay... That's nice." Staring contest resumes.
  156. Sir December: "Why are YOU here? Aren't you supposed to be at home?"
  157. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa doesn't care much for the response of Armaggedon Knight's sword across his body. He left his defenses bare, sacrificing them for ability to properly set up his next turn. Such a thing requires complete confidence. . . or does it? No, actually that's wrong. Yoru Hashizawa is not the type of man to hold true to a delusion of "complete confidence". It's more than likely he was afraid when performing such a risky maneuver, but went to wager his safety to secure the victory.
  158.
  159. But, his fears are alleviated when Miyata starts off with a basic strategy. His backrow does not instill in Yoru, any sort of . . . apprehension. They won't be useful just yet. This is because of what he knows of Miyata. There ain't nothing a trickster loves more than a trick. So even if he attacks on his next turn, the likelyhood of an early response is slim. No, Miyata will only start fighting back when he wants the tables to look as if they've made a complete 180.
  160.
  161. Nevertheless, there is the effect of Armaggedon Knight. It sends a DARK monster to the Graveyard. Naturally this is Stygian Street Patrol. Something that can easily create Tribute fodder or summon a Tuner. With that in mind, Yoru can feel a bit more comfortable knowing his opponents strategy. But, regretfully, there is simply no way to counter such strategies in his hand right now. So, he'll have to beat him down as quickly as possible. "Draw."
  162.
  163. "I summon Marauding Captain, and by his effect I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from my hand. Now, Captain ---- Lead by EXAMPLE! Come forth, Rose Warrior of Revenge!" Yoru calls out once again. The gruff appearance of his battle scarred knight is joined by the supple curves of a woman scorned. Rose TUNES to Captain!"
  164.
  165. Marauding Captain bursts into stars, while Rose becomes a series of flaming hot rings. Traveling through these four rings, the three stars undergo an instant metamorphosis. "Be revitalized, Skilled Stirling Knight --- Seven Swords Warrior!" And the glistening gold figure that descends upon the battlefield DOES look intensely revitalized, given the fact it came from the tired and strong Marauding Captain. It is a battler that has transcended simple soldier-hood. It is an ideal.
  166. Colin Fox: "Acutally... No. I'm here because I'm not supposed to be at home."
  167. Sir December: "Okay, uh, let me dumb this down a little for you. Why are you not at home?"
  168. Miyata Akechi needs to take a step back. "A Synchro Summon on the second turn...!?" Damn this guy. He wasn't expecting a huge monster like this so soon. He only just started setting up for later. "Seven Swords Warrior..."
  169. Colin Fox: "Well, you see. There are these things called abnormalities, and you know, there are certain people who search for individuals possessing certain ones to find out 'why' and 'how'. So I don't live at home."
  170. Sir December: "I'm not going to point out your abnormality, as it could prove lethally rude. But I think that roaming the streets might be tougher."
  171. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa holds up a spell card immediately after. At this moment, he is completely surrounded by a succulent miasma of power. His Feel is off the charts, "Next I will equip my Seven Swords Warrior with the Equip Magic card, Dragonic Attack. His special ability chains to the activation of Dragonic Attack! Saber OFF!(I got this from Baoh)." Seven Swords Warrior launches its current blade like a missile at Miyata. To strike him in the gut and then explode with the force of a bomb. Considering Feel is behind the attack, Miyata will be launched backward. Burning. For a brief moment anyhow.

  174.
  175. "He inflicts damage every time he's equipped with an Equip Spell card. And because of the effects of my Dragonic attack, not only does he get a new weapon. My Seven Swords Warrior is treated as a Dragon monster and gains 500 attack and defense! Burst now!" A palpable draconic aura explodes from within the depths of the Seven Swords Warrior's armor, and a replacement halberd is forged from flame. "Next up, he'll attack your Armageddon Knight."
  176.
  177. And attack he does. Launching himself into the air before coming down in a split second after. Like some sort of meteor. "FANGSTORM!"
  178.
  179. -1400 LP
  180. Colin Fox: "I'm not completely worried about it. I'm just searching for a knowledgeable Alchemist."
  181. Sir December: "I can do Alchemy. Can't say I'm proficient, though."
  182. Sir December: "Or knowledgeable."
  183. Colin Fox: "I can too, but I need to find someone at an advanced level of proficiency."
  184. Sir December: "Why?"
  185. Miyata Akechi is sent barreling backwards, tumbling over twice before coming down on his back and skidding back a few more feet. That...hurt. "What a pain in the neck..." He grips at the point of impact as he stumbles back up to his feet and raises his Duel Disk again. "2800 attack points..."
  186.
  187. Big words, but Armageddon Knight is sliced and diced without a word from his two Set cards. Miyata winces as his Life Points drop to 5800. "Yeah, you've got me in a corner, alright...are you done yet?"
  188. Colin Fox holds up left arm, letting gravity have its way with it after he's made his point.
  189. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "Yes."
  190. Sir December turns. His left leg pushes out, and his lap sets upon the seat, his arms hold the throttle tightly. He was convinced. Probably. "Get on."
  191. Colin Fox considers this for a moment. Getting on this bike was against any logic he had in his mind right now, but it was an interesting proposition. "I may be twelve, but I'm not stupid, you know. Where are we going?"
  192. Sir December: "Looking for a knowledgeable Alchemist."
  193. Miyata Akechi pulls out a card. "Draw! ...And I'll activate one of my facedown cards! The Trap Card, Dark Scheme!" The purple card rematerializes and reveals itself. The image of a caped Fiend that might familiar to some is displayed on it.
  194.
  195. "We both discard two cards and draw two more. However, you can discard one card to negate that effect. Either way, I come out of this for the better. What'll it be?"
  196. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa discards his Quick-Span Knight and his Junk Blader to the Graveyard, "Then allow me to take the lead." And so he draws to replace them.
  197. Miyata Akechi discards Must Die Draw and Stygian Dirge. Neither of them would help at this point. "Whatever you say." He draws two replacements and picks one out. "Next, I'll summon Power Annihilator!" Like all monsters in his deck, it's very obviously a Fiend. Hunched low, dark in coloration, with an long neck and evil grin.
  198.
  199. "When Power Annihilator battles a monster with more attack points than itself, it gains 1000 more attack points during battle. If it battles Seven Swords Warrior, they'll be equal in power. That said..."
  200.
  201. He sets down another card to replace Dark Scheme. "I'll set one card and end my turn."
  202. Colin Fox would normally say no, but he looks over his situation. He can't go home because he'll get put back in the institution. The institution just wants dissect his arm and would do it if the law turned an eye for a moment, and at the oment, he's walking around on the city with nothing but a messenger back filled with miscellaneous stuff. To top all of that, he had no idea where to find any really knowledgeable alchemists.
  203.
  204. One leg is swung over the set, and he turns his head to look behind him as he props himself up with his left arm behind him, gripping the end of the seat with its infernal grip. As long as he left it like this, he shouldn't be able to fall off unless something really chaotic occured and still have his right arm available to keep hold of the strap to his bag. "Alright then."
  205. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa doesn't want to tread all over Miyata's self assurance, but he's been left with no choice. This is his punishment for being so confident in himself, "No no no no no no." Fwip. Draw. "I'm sorry you think so. But, I'm about to shatter that tender assurance of yours. Like glass. Because now I'm activating the Equip Magic, Mage Power." Seven Swords Warrior's entire body begins to channel an unruly amount of energy. The monster is being equipped not with a physical weapon but with the majesty of the arcane. Sorcery.
  206.
  207. "Saber OFF!"
  208.
  209. And the other blue sword is thrown towards Miyata. Once again, it digs into his body---the shoulder this time----and explodes like a barrel of unstable gunpowder roiling away at his senses.
  210.
  211. -800 LP
  212.
  213. "Now with the might of sorcerer and dragon my knight is nearly invincible. It's so close. . . to Godhood, and I wonder how much more it can improve from there. Ah, but nevertheless, this isn't the time for science. FANGSTORM THAT SORCERY!" And so the Knight comes down on Power Annihilator, totally ensnared in a shroud of orange light, which is, in itself adorned in a cloak of flowing emeraldine iridescence.
  214. The Swaying Story Teller | -2000 LP!?
  215. Sir December had probably known better than to abduct a twelve year old with an abnormal arm. So, Colin's anxiety had probably stemmed and equally budded uselessly. December was a dellicate man; a hinted to characteristic that's rather apparent at first glance. Even if he oftentimes portrayed mockery, and unformed any actual formality he held towards anyone, he has a lot of meditative thinking. He's wiser than he may look. Moreso intelligent, though is uneasy and oblivious. He has his times, though. These times are usually seen in dueling, abundantly so. But, in this lifestyle, it's harshly required that he shows a little tenacity.
  216.
  217. The throttle moves with a thundering tilt; and the engine simultaneously blazes off with power. The wheels turn in place, before they tread forth with a mighty launch, leaving but an ensuing cloud of smoke. His feet press in, his hands move, his hips shake and rumble. Continuously. Riding Duel Runners could prove harder to the bystander, but it's in fact easy. The conduit is fluid to control, and managing it can fluently become an expressively simple task. Well, he won't try to give Colin any lessons. He won't be starting conversation this time, either.
  218.
  219. Miyata Akechi weathers the pain, even as the force of Seven Swords Warrior's blue blade striking his shoulder sends him spinning. He catches himself with a grunt and stares forward silently, save for a whisper to himself. "Godhood, huh..."
  220.
  221. Power Annihilator suitably powers up in response to the Synchro Monster's attack, a pitch-black dark aura overtaking its body as it brings a claw up to bear and meets its sword. Even with 2800 ATK, it loses. After a brief clash, it's split apart and explodes. -1000 LP. Now Miyata raises his voice. "...I was hoping you'd do that."
  222. Miyata Akechi raises an arm. "Trap Card, activate! DEATH PENALTY!" So flips up the card he just placed down. On it is an image of INVINCIBLE DEMISE LORD, or at least something that appears to be very close to it. The monster actually leaves the card and faces down Seven Swords Warrior, scythe pulled back.
  223.
  224. "When you destroy one of my Fiend-type monsters, you suffer a 'final penalty'! First, you take damage equal to my destroyed monster's attack points!" Yoru Hashizawa is inflicted with a sharp pain that starts in his gut and works its way up to his chest. -1800 LP. "Additionally, your attacking monster is DESTROYED!"
  225.
  226. The scythe-wielding monster now reaps its prey, weapon slicing through air. A moment later, Seven Swords Warrior's head slowly leaves its body behind, lopped off and falling to the ground below. "Did I shatter that tender assurance of yours? Like glass?"
  227. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa growls painfully. Like a roaring beast---no, a roaring dragon, being electrocuted. That's exactly what the pain of bearing Power Annihilator's strength bombarding his body looks like too. Electricity. It crawls up his arm and the pain is so dangerously close to his heart that in the midst of his spasming he thinks he's going to die. Then there's an extra insult of watching Seven Swords Warrior have its head cleaved off.
  228.
  229. Yoru falls down to his knees and coughs. Instead of responding or defending his severly wounded ego, he just hacks and coughs.
  230. Miyata Akechi rubs at the back of his neck, rolling his head side to side. He got a little carried away again. But he had it coming. Death Penalty - or rather Final Penalty is sent to the graveyard, and the monster it summoned too. "Oi, you don't get to fall down. Not after you acted so tough, attacking us and forcing us into this...stand up. Your turn isn't over yet."
  231. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "Mhmhmhmhmhm."
  232. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa sets a monster, "It's your turn now. Mhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhm."
  233. Miyata Akechi frowns, and draws a card. Was this guy laughing at him? He can't do much with this hand right now...and he should probably play it safe, regardless. He wishes he kept Stygian Dirge in his hand. "I'll set one monster, and end my turn. Tell me - what the hell do you know? Who ARE you?"
  234. Colin Fox should be expected to be taken aback by the experiences of sitting on a Duel Runner for the first time. And he was, when it was his first time on a Duel Runner, but that was a long time ago, not even overrated by the fact he was only a little over a decade in age. Point being, he doesn't comment as the vibrations carry them nor does he ask anything about the functioning of it. It was a topic he wasn't knowledgeable at, but he lacked the surprise and curiosity to barrage anyone with questions about it.
  235.
  236. So instead, he'll ask something else, sure enough to raise his voice loud enough to not be drowned out by their speed. "So what do you do, professionally?" It was an important question he felt he should have asked earlier, but it would be nice to know.
  237. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "It doesn't matter who we are. What matters is our plan."
  238. Miyata Akechi: "Then what's your plan!?"
  239. Sir December: "I don't need profession. I'm a free man."
  240. Queen Venice Valentine: Com>Laboratory VI >"You must understand, Selene must be allowed to die. Though not in pain. We're going to purge it."
  241. Colin Fox: "So a duelist."
  242. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "And all the souls will be used as materials in a transmutation."
  243. Sir December: "You could say."
  244. Miyata Akechi: "So Cartwright really was using Alchemy back then...I don't know much about Alchemy, but if you need that many souls, you must be making something big."
  245. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "We would like to obtain the theoretical fifth element. In our pursuit of 'Magic'. That's what Laboratory VI is for. It's a research center where we're looking into creating the Philosopher's Stone."
  246. Miyata Akechi: "Oh, so this is all about getting 'Magic'. This stone is going to help you do that. And what'll you do after that?"
  247. Sir December: "I get what I want. Whenever I want."
  248. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "Us? Nothing. We'll be giving it to the Director."
  249. Queen Venice Valentine: Com>Laboratory VI >"This is ALL for the Director."
  250. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "In his glorious name."
  251. Queen Venice Valentine: Com>Laboratory VI >"For giving us life."
  252. Colin Fox: "So you're a criminal duelist. You're not that Masked Rider, are you?"
  253. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "For giving YOU life. Therefore, you shouldn't be such an ingrate. He has every right to take it away."
  254. Sir December: "No."
  255. Miyata Akechi: "What are you talking about, giving ME life?"
  256. Sir December: "I'm December."
  257. Queen Venice Valentine: Com>Laboratory VI >"How disappointing. Yoru. Hurry up and kill him. Summon another Synchro Monster."
  258. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa will do his hardest. He draws, "I'm flipping up my Junk Blader, and just to play it safe. I'll use its effect to banish my second Junk Blader. This gives him 400 extra attack points for a total of 2200. Now. I'll slice through that face-down! Junk High Slash!" And so the attack is completed.
  259. Miyata Akechi balls his hands into tight fists and growls. It's almost feral. "You think you can just dangle answers in front of my face and take them away!? I'll beat them out of you!" His facedown monster is the tiny Fiend, Stygian Security. As its cleaved apart, another pair of the winged creatures airdrop in a vile looking set of black gears attached to a chain.
  260.
  261. "Stygian Security's effect activates! By destroying it, you've let me summon a Level 1 Fiend straight from my Deck! And I've brought out Sinister Sprocket!"
  262. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa remains disappointed in this terribly un-dramatic turn of events. But, his backrow is virtually non-existant right now. "Ha. That would have helped you earlier. Now. I end my turn."
  263. Miyata Akechi draws. He can't use this. He needs to bide for more time. If he can perform a Synchro Summon, he'll get the chance to tear this guy limb from limb. "Don't mouth off! I'll set another monster and end my turn."
  264. Colin Fox: "Oh well. Not that it mattered."
  265. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "Junk Blader destroys your freshly set monster. It's so easy. Then I'll set this card I just drew."
  266. Miyata Akechi picks up the top card of his deck. "You activated my Sinister Sprocket's effect! I can look at the top card of my deck and place it back on top or on the bottom of my deck!" He stares at it for a moment - it's not a monster card, which he needs - so to the bottom it goes.
  267.
  268. "Then if you're done, I'll draw again!" Schwing.
  269. Miyata Akechi: "...Haha."
  270. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa activates his Face-Down card! It flips rightside up, and an ornate broadsword comes flying from the depths of the material. It knicks Miyata's hand and snatches a random card away from him. "Lightforce Sword renders your hand null!"
  271. Miyata Akechi doesn't resist the Lightforce Sword. It pins a random card from his hand against the far wall, where he'll be unable to retrieve it. But...he missed. "Your luck ran out! I'll banish Stygian Street Patrol from my Graveyard, and Special Summon a Fiend with less than 2000 attack points from my hand! Rise up, Invincible Demise Lord!"

  277.
  278. The two monsters convert to light and rises up until they're touching the ceiling of the colosseum. One ring is pierced through by the vast energy that is Invincible Demise Lord. A blinding light fills the entire room. "Descend to Earth and judge the living!"
  279.
  280. That same dark pressure fills the area. Dark Highlander, chains wrapped around his front clinking as he stands regal and tall high above Junk Blader, scythe at his side. Red eyes stare past the monster at Yoru Hashizawa. "Now, 'Tropic of Death'! While Dark Highlander is on the field, Synchro Summons by either player are UNABLE TO BE CONDUCTED!"

  287. Miyata Akechi sends Dark Highlander forward. He doesn't even hear Venice Valentine. He's only focused on wiping out the man in front of him. "Any strategy you try against him will be useless! DEATH POLAR!"
  288.
  289. The Duel Liner raises his weapon without moving, and it comes cracking down. The sheer length of it and size of its wielder mean it can slice Junk Blader apart with the utmost of ease. The metal floor beneath where the monster formerly stood is cut into, shattered, and crumpled.
  290.
  291. -1000 LP. "My turn is over."
  292. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa unfortunately doesn't have anything to do here. His next draw is literally useless. He sets a monster, "To you."
  293. Miyata Akechi only has two words.
  294.
  295. "DEATH POLAR!"
  296. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "< I'm definitely going to defend myself and then kill him. >"
  297. Miyata Akechi: "Heh. I'll set a card and end my turn."

  311. "No Synchro Summon? Right, your Darkworld Shackles don't negate effects, do they? Dark Highlander isn't going anywhere! Trap Card, NIGHTMARE MIRROR!"
  312.
  313. Rose ends up carving into a reflective mirror that shields Dark Highlander, an image of her master on its surface. He takes the pain of that cut instead of his Duel Liner. "Your attack is negated, and you suffer 1000 points of damage!" He discards a card in accordance with the cost.

  318. Miyata Akechi draws. He feels the sting of Darkworld Shackles' burn, but he's grinning. "No, I don't think so. Cartwright was insane. He was an insane priest trying to kill an entire city to appease some sick delusion about becoming 'God'...and he was more of a threat than you. Maybe if you were doing this for a reason I could get behind, I'd be more understanding."
  319.
  320. He switches the bound Dark Highlander into Defense Position, and summons Phantom Skyblaster. Two smaller versions of it lunge out from the shadows to join it. "I don't care about anything you owe to the Director. I'm going to beat you to a pulp and make you tell me everything. Spell of the Ruler!"
  321.
  322. Phantom Skyblaster is overcome by an aura of sheer power. At 1800 ATK, it cleaves apart Rose. One token crashes Goblindbergh's plane, and the last one attacks his opponent directly.

  324. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa raises his arms as cover from the volley of fire. It's just a token. He doesn't have anything to worry about specifically. "Agh." This bastard is starting to get on his nerves though. "You're making a mistake. Fighting with us."
  325. Miyata Akechi: "No, you made a mistake, and that was getting in my way. My turn is over."
  326. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa: "I'll set a card and end."
  327.
  328. Miyata Akechi raises a arm and points straight forward. "If that's all you have, then this is the end! Take him down!" As much as he'd love to tear off a body part or three with Dark Highlander's awesome power, he can't. So he'll settle for siccing the Skyblaster Tokens on Yoru, who claw and scratch at his body for small damage.
  329.
  330. He'll deal the final blow with Phantom Skyblaster itself, dark purple lightning crackling between its talons before sending the bolt square at the duelist's chest.
  331. Dragon Yoru Hashizawa is smashed in the chest with a bolt of lightning, despite a frantic and futile attempt at reducing Phantom Skyblaster's power. Yasu ends up stumbling backward and away from the monster in an attempt to ruin its aim, while at the same time activating, "MYSTICAL SPACE TYPHOON!" To destroy Spell of the Ruler. It doesn't work. The pulse of orchid thunder strikes him square in the chest. His muscles lock up and his heart boils before outright bursting. "HYASAGH!"

  339.
  340. "...now I can't get anything out of him. You can shut it up already, girl, because I'm coming for you now. You're not going to get your precious little stone, and it's all because you couldn't just let us pass peacefully into Dewdrop."
