The recent actions against one of our community members has prompted some internal discussions about whether or not our initial decision to not attempt to unblock arena was still "justified". Mind you we still believe that unlocking arena would pose a wider more general threat to the whole HB community, so unlocking arena for the simple fact that we think what Bossland is currently doing is unjustified, does not exactly justify us unlocking arena, what if we prompt another banwave?

Currently there is a lot of work to be done due to recent hb releases, the new wow patch but also whats going on with suspense atm. We have not worked on CDPatcher for a few weeks now, mostly because we didnt really need to, and we did not prepare work toward the new garrison meshes ahead of time of the patch like we usually do, in fact, we haven't spend even a minute on the new shipyard meshes that also relate to tanaan jungle.

These things needs to be out of the way before we contemplate unlocking arena, and at this point we are not rushing any work as long as cdpatcher is compatible, which it is in most situations.

With all of that said, we intend to find a way to unlock it, we might include it in cdpatcher permanently, we might not. We might include it for a duration of X days or weeks, we might not, the most likely situation is that we will publicly release the unlock a little while into a big patch so theres little chances of any small hotfixes rolling out, and external CC developers or random people can use it at their own will, if they want, until the game patches.
