new combat and shit

  3. <@Scizor300> instead of just "swing swing swing" i've got combos
  4. <@Scizor300> with ability slots for extra combo hits and specials
  5. <@Scizor300> so you can link ground and air combos, air to ground, etc.
  6. <@ZarroTsu> Zesh is already drawing shit with this in mind
  7. <@Scizor300> the ability slots can also be used for different weapon perks
  8. <@ZarroTsu> as well as weapon guarding
  9. <@ZarroTsu> and like 70 types of weapons regarding it all
  10. <@Scizor300> guns will have a clip amount, with a reload time
  11. <@Scizor300> ability slots can influence reload speed, knockback resistance from guns, and some other things<@Scizor300> leveling up will give you additional ability slots every 5th level or so
  12. <@Scizor300> and each level up will give you one point towards the class system already present in the current h&e build
  13. <@Scizor300> depending on what weapon you used the most during the course of that leveling
  14. <@Scizor300> so yes i want to make the combat in terraria not a fucking boring swingfest first of all

  16. <@Scizor300> more momentum-based ala sonic and more built for platforming
  17. <@Scizor300> fall damage will be adjusted to reflect that
  18. <@Scizor300> which also ties into us absolutely needing to make the level generation smooth out the terrain, or give a 1-block step-up

  20. <@Scizor300> adding slopes in will fix the former, but adding in the latter will make it easier to putting it off until later

  28. <@Scizor300> i'd say, seeing as zesh is apparently working towards it, we work on the combat and leveling
  29. <@ZarroTsu> it's not like he mapped standing on a surface to only work every block height
  30. <@Scizor300> preferably on a fresh start
  31. <@ZarroTsu> just that it doesn't quiiiite work every pixel height
  32. <@ZarroTsu> since sometimes you can waterwalk on lava (sense not found), and still be burned by it (sense found)
