- Save and Reload
- So this is the new strat applied for this game. I personally discover it when I'm learning the game. Previously saving is only for fail-safe if things going wrong. Now, save and reload is done for another trick because sadly RNG can't be exactly manipulated for this game (see my RNG notes for more details). Another change from DW1 is you can save and reload the game literally almost everywhere. There are only few conditions where you can't save the game but it's not big deal and ignored for speedrun purpose.
- * Save and reload warp: When you save the game in a map, the next time you reload the game Taiga will be in the spot where he enters the map's zone (i.e after cutscenes or entering a map by control). This basically develop a warp that can be done by saving then reload the game. Doing a warp when the game requires you to backtrack will obviously saving real life time. Sometimes it's also used to avoid enemies like in binary castle.
- * Doing this will also freeze the in-game clock. There are few conditions where you save the game because you will be warped and in-game clock is still not forwarded. Not advancing in-game clock sometimes required to control RNG and extend lifespan.
- * Some RNG will be fixed or re-rolled when you save and reload. I'm doing some saving in order to control the RNG despite RNG can't exactly manipulated like in DW1 (see my RNG notes)
