  1. [19:15:08] Mad_Modd C%3 the group has just finished clearing out the first floor, finding a unblocked stairwell up to the next. The strange birthday tune still playing over the speakers...
  2. [19:19:57] Sammy points a hoof at the door, his wings rustling on his back, ”so, who'se going up first?”
  3. [19:20:10] Arty_Shortfeather "I'm not!"
  4. [19:20:19] Redmend shies back a bit. "Not me."
  5. [19:22:15] Gaige rubs her head "wow dont feel right" she looks around and rolls her eyes "ok fine, make way for our glorious plot!" she makes her way past the group and up the steps
  6. [19:24:01] Sammy blinks at Gaige, ”what'd she mean by...?” he then pauses, gnawing at his right forehoof's knee, ”Demed knee itches...”
  7. [19:24:30] Redmend stares at said plot as it walks by.
  8. [19:24:54] Mad_Modd the upstairs is much the same as the fist, but the light is much poorer. A single terrified scream piercing the darkness...
  9. [19:26:29] Redmend slightly jumps, keeping close to the rest.
  10. [19:27:17] Arty_Shortfeather follows Gaige and jumps at the scream as well "So, whaAHHHH!"
  11. [19:28:35] Gaige blinks "was that me? i am hungry... wait, no that's not screaming, that's rumbling! ITS OK GUYS ITS NOT ME!"
  12. [19:29:42] Sammy walks up the stairs, nudging Gaige's flank with a forehoof and almost doing the same to Arty_Shortfeather before blushing and looking away, ”what're you two on about?”
  13. [19:29:48] Redmend "Th-that's exactly what scares me, hun!"
  14. [19:31:13] Arty_Shortfeather levels her rifle "Hello, anybody home? Sorry for the mess downstairs?"
  15. [19:31:39] Gaige pulls up her SMG "we come in peace!"
  16. [19:32:56] Mad_Modd they are faced with a single door opposite the stairs, a long broken sign hanging over it 'Cafeteria'. Two other directions leading towards patient rooms
  17. [19:34:27] Gaige blinks "hay guys, you have parties in cafeteria's right? lets not go in there!"
  18. [19:35:23] Arty_Shortfeather "Or maybe we should. Whatever is causing all this might be in there."
  19. [19:35:41] Redmend "I...I don't like this at all..."
  20. [19:37:34] Sammy shrugs, ”I dunno about you guys, but Hy'm going in there. might be good stuff in there.”
  21. [19:39:18] Gaige facehooves "steel trays and two hundred year old food? trust me, we go in there last, its a good idea, lets take a look in bedrooms, they are way more fun!"
  22. [19:39:22] Arty_Shortfeather "I don't like it either, and besides, the cafeteria might be easier battleground."
  23. [19:41:18] Sammy nods in agreement, ”what if we miss one in te halls, do you want one of those schneakink up on you when your back is turned and you're alone?”
  24. [19:41:47] Redmend "I don't want anything sneaking up at me!"
  25. [19:45:21] Gaige nods "ok fine, ignore your glorious leader, but we- I am right..." she blinks and shakes her head
  26. [19:47:15] Sammy extends a wing to the caffeteria doors, ”well, if you're so bent on leading, het or not, hyu can go first.”
  27. [19:47:53] Gaige shakes her head and moves to pull open the door her SMG in her mouth
  28. [19:48:27] Arty_Shortfeather stacks up at the door and keeps her carbine ready. "Ready."
  29. [19:49:10] Sammy waits on the other side of the door, ready to charge in if there's any too close
  30. [19:49:14] Gaige pushes the handle down with a hoof and pushes the door open
  31. [19:52:42] Redmend keeps her puny pistol and bandages ready...
  32. [19:53:31] Mad_Modd Gaige is greeted with the sight of the source of the scream. A green pony convulses as a dripping tentacle extends from the kitchen, forces it's way down there throat. There features slowly melting as there eyes drip and turn into the sickly pink holes of the other monsters. A waxy growth extending out of there head as there mouth twist into the rickous grin of the other monsters. It...
  33. [19:53:31] Mad_Modd ...stops shaking and stands on rubbery legs, hobbling over to join a few others standing nearby.
  34. [19:54:17] Gaige closes the door "NOPE!
  35. [19:54:50] Redmend gulps
  36. [19:54:57] Arty_Shortfeather heaves
  37. [19:55:13] Sammy puts a hoof to the door, muttering, ”Hy'm gunna destroy hyu.”
  38. [19:56:57] Gaige "ok, we need monster bleach, do any of you have that? or fire... can we make fire" she taps her hooves on the floor "i told you guys we should do this room last, from outside, with C4!"
  39. [19:58:41] Sammy shakes a bit, taking his machete from it's holster, ”Hy'm gun in.”
  40. [20:01:26] Gaige "WHY! do you WANT to be a candlecorn?!?!"
  41. [20:01:38] Arty_Shortfeather tries to hold Sammy back "Please don't!"
  42. [20:11:48] Sammy pushes the door open, the machete grited in his teeth as he sprints to the tentacle, taking a single CHOP! at it
  43. [20:14:38] Mad_Modd his weapon sinks into the tentacle about halfway, seeming to do little. It begins to slowly stitch back together, twitching...
  44. [20:16:30] Redmend mostly keeps back and just gives 3 shots at the tentacle.
  45. [20:19:25] Mad_Modd a pained roar echoes from the kitchen as the tentacle burns from the MEW. It begins to retract into the kitchen
  46. [20:21:48] Mad_Modd a few of the pony type monster, plus the new addition, moan as one and trundle towards Sammy and Redmend, two to each, biting at the ponies
  47. [20:23:04] Mad_Modd one managing to bite Sammy on the rump, sinking it's jagged teeth in a bit
  48. [20:26:00] Arty_Shortfeather opens fire at the two monsters attacking Sammy, two shots at each, then reloads.
  49. [20:28:52] Mad_Modd most hit there mark, the second dropping with a gaping hole in it's head. The first merely wounded, but still standing
  50. [20:30:03] Mad_Modd four more stumble out from the kitchen, all seem to take a liking to Sammy, attacking him...
  51. [20:31:15] Mad_Modd two managing to bite down on the colt, one joining the other in gnawing on his ass...
  52. [20:33:18] Gaige pulls up her SMG and opens fire at one of the monsters on sammy
  53. [20:36:09] Mad_Modd and she blows the thing away
  54. [20:37:01] Mad_Modd the tentacle quickly retracts into the kitchen, closing the door with it..
  55. [20:40:48] Sammy takes a swing at each of the creatures that missed, making a wild swing at the one that bit him first, leaving the second to the others
  56. [20:44:15] Mad_Modd he nearly drops his weapon on the first swing, kills 2 of the monsters just them same
  57. [20:45:04] Mad_Modd a single monster from the first group rears back, biting and kicking at Sammy
  58. [20:45:48] Mad_Modd managing to kick him in the butt once
  59. [20:50:58] Redmend fires another shot at the closest candlecorn, then reloads for 4 shots and fires another.
  60. [20:51:40] Mad_Modd missing on both counts
  61. [20:53:34] Arty_Shortfeather fires two shots each at two of the candelcorns on sammy and a last one at the third
  62. [20:55:48] Mad_Modd the one that just kicked Sammy goes down, as dose a nother
  63. [20:56:38] Mad_Modd the remaining things attack. Two kicking and biting at Gaige with the third still on Sammy.
  64. [21:02:08] Mad_Modd Gaige falls bleeding from multiple wounds! The pair of monsters still on her!
  65. [21:03:11] Mad_Modd an angry rumble come out from the kitchen area
  66. [21:05:14] Sammy growls under his breath, swiping his machete at the three remaining creatures, ”No schtoppink, no giving up. Not Dis time.”
  67. [21:08:29] Mad_Modd and he finishes off the last one on him, there are still the two chewing on Gaige though
  68. [21:10:23] Redmend runs over to Gaige, screaming at the top of her lungs. "Get away from her!" She fires 3 shots at the closest one.
  69. [21:11:36] Mad_Modd she hits one! But not hard enough to kill it...
  70. [21:12:52] Arty_Shortfeather shifts targets and fires three shots at one and 2 at the other candlecorn attacking Gaige
  71. [21:14:21] Mad_Modd Arty manages to finish off the last two, probably saving Gaige.
  72. [21:15:23] Mad_Modd the growling and rumbling from the kitchen gets louder and angrier, but nothing attacks..... yet
  73. [21:22:03] Sammy sits down hard, panting heavily, the haze partially leaving his eyes as he hears whatever it is' bellows of rage, ”...tired...” he grunts, trying to stand and muttering, ”Kan' be done yet...”
  74. [21:22:41] Gaige is out cold blood pooling around her
  75. [21:23:24] Arty_Shortfeather breahts heavily "We gotta get her outta here!"
  76. [21:23:51] Redmend hurries over to Gaige, kneeling down and starts to treat her. She uses one of the bandages on the most grievous wound
  77. [21:27:55] Gaige moans in pain "GAHHH! I SAID NOT TO GO IN HERE!"
  78. [21:29:50] Redmend sticks by her, doing her best to ease the pain. "I am here Gaige, hold tight." A single tear rolls down her cheek.
  79. [21:29:56] Mad_Modd the rumbling and growling stops.
  80. [21:30:26] Mad_Modd a few moments later four tentacles burst through the door and wall!
  81. [21:31:34] Arty_Shortfeather "Oh shi-"
  82. [21:32:56] Redmend cries out. "AND YOU FOALS WANTED TO GO ON HERE!"
  83. [21:33:11] Sammy lunges to the door, ramming it with his shoulder, ”Oh no hyu don', Hy'm de vun komink for hyu.” he has a murderous glint in his eye
  84. [21:36:29] Sammy takes the opportunity to hack at one of the tentacles
  85. [21:38:01] Mad_Modd his blade sinks in much as before, the cut only closing up part way this time
  86. [21:39:26] Redmend hoists Gaige onto her back and tries to get her to safety
  87. [21:41:30] Gaige flops onto Redmend's back wincing
  88. [21:42:25] Arty_Shortfeather "Get her out, we'll handle it!"
  89. [21:42:42] Arty_Shortfeather loads a new mag in and fires two shots at two different tentacles
  90. [21:45:55] Mad_Modd her shots hit the thing. Seeming to do some damage as the tentacle that Sammy had cut flops to the ground and melts...
  91. [21:49:04] Mad_Modd the tentacles lash out blindly! Whipping around the room
  92. [21:53:54] Mad_Modd one tentacle slams into Arty! Her legs bending at an odd angle as she is sent flying, luckily she manages to catch herself with her wings, preventing her from hitting the far wall
  93. [21:55:07] Sammy 's face contorts in fury, chopping twice at the second tentacle in the door
  94. [21:57:59] Mad_Modd Sammy somehow chopps off all the tentacles! A pained whimpering and growling still coming from the kitchen....
  95. [22:03:23] Arty_Shortfeather flaps down to the ground and reloads, her hindlegs twitching "Ugghhhhh!"
  96. [22:03:57] Sammy pushes the door to the kitchen open, a hard look on his face as he looks for what's caused all this, wanting to be sure.
  97. [22:04:08] Arty_Shortfeather "Fukken hell, Ahhhh!"
  98. [22:04:17] Arty_Shortfeather limps after Sammy "Wait!"
  99. [22:04:39] Redmend is already outside, putting Gaige down on a somewhat soft spot and looks her over again.
  100. [22:05:26] Gaige flops to the floor and moans holding her sid
  101. [22:05:28] Gaige side
  102. [22:07:36] Mad_Modd the kitchen is a multicolored sticky mess, a strange goo covering everything. And sitting on the table is a pulsating blob of flesh and..... cake. The head of a zebra partly sticking out out of the mass, it's one singe dead eye watching Sammy. Pink oozing from where it once had tendrils and tentacles, a large mouth filled with the same teeth smiling back at them...
  103. [22:07:55] Mad_Modd it's stuck in place, glued to the table...
  104. [22:09:16] Sammy nods, walking carefully over to the blob and lining up his axe to put the thing out of it's misery
  105. [22:09:45] Arty_Shortfeather can only watch
  106. [22:11:20] Mad_Modd and put it out of it's misery he did...
  107. [22:12:13] Arty_Shortfeather limps over to Sammy and hugs him "Sammy..."
  108. [22:12:52] Sammy hugs Arty_Shortfeather back, leaving the kitchen so she doesn't have to walk in.

  110. [22:23:03] Sammy holds Arty_Shortfeather's weight up, a wing over her almost protectively as they limp out to where Redmend and Gaige are, ”I know you're mad, but the thing's dead.”
  111. [22:24:13] Redmend angrily turns back to them. "And she nearly too!" She points at Gaige. "All because of your stupid ideas!" She breaks down sniffling.
  112. [22:24:50] Gaige lets out a unclear mumble
  113. [22:25:21] Arty_Shortfeather chuckles "Better sooner than later, eh? Ughh.."
  114. [22:26:29] Redmend crawls back close to Gaige. "What was that, hun?"
  115. [22:27:46] Arty_Shortfeather "Hey, I think my leg's broken or something. Hurts like shit either way."
  116. [22:28:12] Gaige leans up and spits some blood on the floor before looking up "LISTEN TO US NEXT TIME!" she then falls back wincing, her voice seems much louder then it whold be otherwise
  117. [22:28:13] Sammy rolls his eyes, ”would you prefer that thing had gotten a few dozen more scavengers then gotten bold, like a certain army of alicorns?” he sits down, ”there's probably something that can help her inside, I doubt the things even function without the core.”
  118. [22:29:21] Redmend waves Arty over while hissing at Sammy: "Then get your lazy, suicidal flank in there and get me what you can find!"
  119. [22:32:44] Sammy glares back, ”Lazy?!” he pokes Redmend with a forehoof, ”Funny, I don't remember ME being the one that scampered off to safety as two others hung back and fought off that /thing/!” he takes his machete out, leaving it on the ground, ”I saved hundreds of lives today, simply risking mine. what did you do?” he then walks off, kicking the door closed behind him
  120. [22:34:28] Redmend shouts after him: "SAVING ONE NOW FOR STARTERS!" She then mumbles to herself: "Maniac..."
  121. [22:34:56] Arty_Shortfeather limps after Sammy. "I think I'll get another doctor..."
  122. [22:38:09] Redmend calls after her: "But there isn't one!"
  123. [22:38:57] Redmend idly pumps her rifle back to full charge as she can't do anything else
  124. [22:39:40] Arty_Shortfeather calls back "Can't hear you over the sound of you being a bitch!"
  125. [22:41:26] Redmend sits back and doesn't know what to say. "Wh-what?! Why? How is it my fault you guys totally overestimate your own abilities and I try my best to save you?" She grumbles. "It's always the healer's fault..."
  126. [22:47:00] Arty_Shortfeather gives Sammy a little kiss while they're looting. "Good job killing that thing."
  127. [22:48:00] Sammy nuzzles Arty_Shortfeather, ”thanks for sticking around.”
  128. [22:50:26] Sammy whacks a jammed medical box with his hoof, ”fine, I'll just keep it.” he balances the thing on his head
