well Daisy and Max's first child is with adult max, so it comes from her
but they later want another child but for some reason max is stuck as a child or something and so they ask Carol to be the surrogate mother or something
since Carol will no doubt stay close to Max and Daisy afterwards
or they have their first child that way and then Max has the second later
either way
