- About the game:
- Crack Down is a 2d game created by sega and published on arcade in 1989 first and on genesis in 1990.
- This is a 2D Run and Shoot game where you need to put bombs on the cross and after this, you need to escape.
- There is a normal game mode and a 2 players game mode

- Particularity of this TAS:
- -Emulator used is BizHawk 1.11.8.2
- -Hardest Difficulty
- -Glitches used
- -Luck Manipulation
- -Beat the game as fast as possible
- -Use death to save time
- Important thinks to know:
- -There is 2 weapons: Machine gun and Rocket Launcher and you can fight too.
- -Rocket launcher will be mainly used in this run because he can kill more than 1 enemy in one rocket.
- -In every corner, I try to be Stick for 1 or 2 frames against the wall and I continue to walk, this makes me be teleported by a few pixels and this saves a lot of
- time.
- -You can clip into the wall when there is an automatic door or there is 2 or 3 other useless places where you can enter in a wall.
- -Camera follow you but you are a bit deplaced when you do the corner strat in the camera, so after a few times you do this, you can be totally makes you eccentric.
- -The game is sometimes slow: In 1 or 2 levels, this is due to the emulator which drop a ton of frames but on somes other levels, this is only the game which is very badly
- optimized.
- -I've choose to do the 1 player mode even if the 2 players mode should be more entertaining but the 2 players mode is very slow (2x more slow) so this is bad.
- -When you plant a bomb, You are invincible for a few time and you automaticly kill enemys when you approach them.
- -The big boom kill all the enemys on the screen and give you a bit of invincibility but this is very slow.
- Explanation:
- -About "Useless" kills:
- On a few places, I've choose to kill "useless" enemys. Sometimes there are not even on my road.
- I've killed them for various reason. Mainly because they will move in a very problematic place and if I don't kill them at this moment, I will need to loose ton of frames
- to kill them.
- On Stage 4, Act 2, I kill some of these enemys because they are glitched and sometimes they can be teleported to you. This happened 3 times and I've managed to manipulate
- the RNG without loosing a lot of time only for 1... So the only way was to kill them.
- -About "Useless" moves:
- These moves are the most of the time for manipulate the luck.
- On Stage 2, Act 1, I walk for a bit in an enemy. This is because I really needed to way for the moving of the enemy to kill him.
- On Stage 3, Act 4, I enter in a wall for no reason, this is only for entertainment, I needed to wait a bit here.
- On Boss Stage, I do a corner strat for no reason. This is because the camera was deplaced and I needed to go back to the left to shoot.
- -About the 2-3 door:
- On Stage 2, Act 3, I need to shoot 7 times on the door. I've choose to open the low door because on the other door, there was 2 enemy to kill before I could open the
- door.
- -About Death Warp:
- On Stage 3, Act 2, there are 2 Death Warp which saves me a bit of time.
- The first one teleport me soon to a mark (Normally you have to get around)
- The second one teleport me soon to the level's end (Normally you have to get around too)
- -About Boss Fight:
- On the road to kill the boss, there are invisible wall, to destroy them, you need 5 shoots.
- On the last room, you have to kill the 6 "Dizzy Metal". After this, 6 other will spawn, and you need to kill them again, this will open the door to Mr K.
- Mr K only need one shot to be killed.
